입구 경계층 두께가 축류 압축기 손실에 미치는 영향 (Effects of the Inlet Boundary Layer Thickness on the Loss Mechanism in an Axial Compressor)

  • A three-dimensional computation was conducted to understand effects of the inlet boundary layer thickness on the loss mechanism in a low-speed axial compressor operating at the design condition(${\phi}=85\%$) and near stall condition(${\phi}=65\%$). At the design condition, the flow phenomena such as the tip leakage flow and hub comer stall are similar independent of the inlet boundary layer thickness. However, when the axial compressor is operating at the near stall condition, the large separation on the suction surface near the casing is induced by the tip leakage flow and the boundary layer on the blade for thin inlet boundary layer but the hub corner stall is enlarged for thick inlet boundary layer. These differences of internal flows induced by change of the boundary layer thickness on the casing and hub enable loss distributions of total pressure to be altered. When the axial compressor has thin inlet boundary layer, the total pressure loss is increased at regions near both casing and tip but decreased in the core flow region. In order to analyze effects of inlet boundary layer thickness on total loss in detail, using Denton's loss models, total loss is scrutinized through three major loss categories in a subsonic axial compressor such as profile loss, tip leakage loss and endwall loss.

  • The fast neutron reactor BOR-60 is one of the key experimental facilities worldwide to perform large-scale tests of fuel, absorbing, and structural materials for advanced reactors. The BOR-60 reactor was put into operation in December 1969, and by the end of 2014 it had been operating on power for ~265,000 hours. BOR-60 still demonstrates potential capabilities to extend the lifetime of sodium-cooled fast reactors. The BOR-60 lifetime should have expired at the end of 2014. Over the past few years, a great scope of work has been performed to justify the possibility of extending its lifetime. The work included inspection of the equipment conditions, calculations and experimental research on operating parameters and the conditions of nonremovable components, investigation of the structural material samples after their long-term operation under irradiation, etc. Based on the results of the work performed, the residual lifetime was evaluated and the reactor operator made a decision to extend the lifetime period of the BOR-60 reactor. After considering both a set of documents about the reactor conditions and the positive decision of independent experts, the Regulatory Authority of the Russian Federation extended the BOR-60 operating license up to 2020.

  • 원자로(TRIGA MARK-II)노심의 특정위치에서 0.5 Mev 이상의 고속중성자 스펙트럼을 발단검출기(Threshold detector)를 사용하여 실험적으로 측정하였다. 발단검출기의 실험적인 방사화자료로서 결정되는 일련의 적분방정식에 대한 근사해를 얻기 위하여 최소자승법의 개념을 이용한 급수전개법을 사용하였다. 상이한 가중함수 (weighting function)를 사용하므로서 해답에 미치는 영향을 각측정에서 분석 검토하였다. 이방법의 사용에 관련되는 수치계산을 수행하기 위하여 UNIVAC 1106전자계산기를 위한 계산코드를 준비하였다. 본 연구에서 얻은 미분적 고속중성자 스펙트럼은 독립적으로 다군 수송이론에 의하여 얻은 결과와 잘 일치하였다.

Eudragit $RS^{\circledR}$를 이용한 지속 방출형 아스피린 마이크로캅셀의 제조 및 평가 (Preparation and Evaluation of Sustained Release Aspirin Microcapsules Using Eudragit $RS^{\circledR}$ Polymer)

  • Eudragit $RS^{\circledR}$ polymer was used as a wall material for the microencapsulation of aspirin by a phase separation method from chloroform-cyclohexane system with 5% polyisobutylene (PIB) in cyclohexane, and microcapsules obtained were evaluated by particle size analysis, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), drug release and drug stability test. With PIB as a coacervation inducing agent, smooth and tight microcapsules with less aggregation were obtained. Below 1 : 0.3 core-wall ratio, it was possible to coat individual particle. Variation of production conditions showed that increasing the proportion of wall material, particle size and wall thickness of microcapsules and the concentration of paraffin wax in cyclohexane as a sealant sustained drug release rates effectively. SEM confirmed that larger microcapsules after drug release did not rupture into smaller particles but contained a few small pores on the surface. Aspirin release from Eudragit $RS^{\circledR}$ coated microcapsules was independent of the pH of medium, and the mechanism of drug release from non-sealed and sealed microcapsules appeared to fit Higuchi matrix model kinetics. Aspirin in the mixture of aspirin microcapsules and sodium bicarbonate was by far more stable than that in the mixture of pure aspirin and sodium bicarbonate.

농촌중년여성의 건강행위 유형 (A Study on Types of Health Behavior among Middle Aged Women in Rural Areas)

  • Purpose: The purposes of this study were to better understand types of health behavior in middle aged women in the Korean agricultural society, understand their nursing needs, and eventually present guidelines to develop proper nursing interventions. Method: Participants for this study were 16 middle aged women from farming communities, who lived in C county and were independent and without chronic ailments. In collection and analysis of data Strauss & Cortin's (1997) research processes and methods were used. The period of data collection was between April 2001 and February 2002. Result: The results of the study showed that the core category was the family-oriented process of $yangsaeng^{1)}$, and four types of health behaviors were observed; $momboyang^{2)}$ maintenance of health through daily life, managing mental health, and managing illness. Each type was perceived to differ from the other in the terms of health behavior priority which was largely affected by the cultural surrounding, for example, degree of attention to children's education and tendency to a traditional role for women. Conclusion: In conclusion, nurses need to understand various types of health behavior in middle aged women. The findings from this study can be applied to the development of Korean nursing interventions that are based on health behavior among middle aged women in the Korean agricultural society. These interventions can then. be based upon understanding of Korean culture rather than drawn only from Western concepts of health behavior.

안압지 호안 건물지의 조망 경관구조 분석 (An Analysis on the Visual Structure from the Building Area around An-ap Pond)

  • This study aims to analyze visual structure by evaluating the view from five building sites around An-ap pond, and attempt to determine which site commands the best view and will provide the most active use. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: According to the questionnaire survey of experts on the relations of dominancy-subordination(´chu-jong´), vacancy-solidness(´heo-sil´), sparsity-density(´so-mil´) based on ancient oriental Yin-Yang theory and analysis of visual structure on angle of elevation, depression, and the landscape-component ratio to be seen through five building sites around the west of An-ap pond, building site three was selected as the building site which has the best landscape. Therefore, it is estimated that building site three played the role of core-building site. According to the result of correlation analysis, the greater the increased in the component ratio of sky, mountain ,the greater the degree of harmony within the landscape. As well, the degree of harmony increased when the landscape component ratio of a distant view was greater than that of a near view. Moreover, it was proved that the relationships of ´chu-jong´, ´heo-sil´, ´so-mil´ are correlative, not independent.

Co-Pilot Agent for Vehicle/Driver Cooperative and Autonomous Driving

  • ETRI's Co-Pilot project is aimed at the development of an automated vehicle that cooperates with a driver and interacts with other vehicles on the road while obeying traffic rules without collisions. This paper presents a core block within the Co-Pilot system; the block is named "Co-Pilot agent" and consists of several main modules, such as road map generation, decision-making, and trajectory generation. The road map generation builds road map data to provide enhanced and detailed map data. The decision-making, designed to serve situation assessment and behavior planning, evaluates a collision risk of traffic situations and determines maneuvers to follow a global path as well as to avoid collisions. The trajectory generation generates a trajectory to achieve the given maneuver by the decision-making module. The system is implemented in an open-source robot operating system to provide a reusable, hardware-independent software platform; it is then tested on a closed road with other vehicles in several scenarios similar to real road environments to verify that it works properly for cooperative driving with a driver and automated driving.

SMP 환경에서의 위성용 XtratuM 오버헤드 분석 (Overhead Analysis of XtratuM for Space in SMP Envrionment)

  • Virtualization with hypervisors is one of emerging topics in multicore processors for space. Hypervisors are software layers to make several independent virtualized environments on one processor. Since all hardware resources are virtualized and distributed only by hypervisors, overall performance of processors can be improved by fully utilizing the resources. However at the same time, there are overheads for virtualizing and distributing hardware resources. Satellites are one of hard real time systems, and performance degradation with overheads should be analyzed thoroughly. Previous research on the overheads focused on single core systems. Even the overheads were analyzed in multicore systems, SMP environment was not fully included. This paper builds SMP environment with XtratuM, one of hypervisors for space missions, and analyzes performance degradation with overheads. Two boards of GR712RC with 2 LEON3FT CPUs and GR740 with 4 LEON4 CPUs are used in experiments. On each board, SMP benchmark functions are executed on SMP environment with XtratuM and on that without XtratuM respectively. Results are analyzed to find timing characteristics including overheads. Finally, applicability of the XtratuM to flight software in SMP is also reviewed.

산후조리원의 공간구성 및 규모에 관한 연구 (The Study on the Space Organization and Programming of Postpartum Care Center)

  • This study aims to provide space organization of the Postpartum Care Center and basic data for architectural planning in the reasonable size. Nurturing method of infants at independent Postpartum Care Center combines rooming-in and non rooming-in and space organization is planned accordingly. Types of the existing floor plans are classified as a type centered on maternity protection room, a type of the separate space for multipurpose, a near type to the infants' room. New types of plane are presented as follows a core type concentrate upon nurse room, the infants' room and the same environmental and balanced corridors between the both. When an average capacity of 20 at Postpartum Care Center is planned, proper suitable floor space of Postpartum Care Center is above $753.9m^2$ and $37.69m^2$ per postpartum woman is required. It is indicated that an average floor space per postpartum woman of the reviewed facilities is smaller than one of the Postpartum Care Center in a plan and plane distributed by function too lack in nursing space. Expansion of space for the Postpartum Care Center is generally required, also the enlargement of nursing space is necessary to be harmonized with the management of a medical facilities and those mutual cooperation.

  • MPEG-4는 객체의 삽입/삭제/교체 또는 객체의 속성 변경을 통하여 동적인 장면 구성을 지원한다. 기존의 MPEG-4 재생기들은 MPEG-4 표준에 따라 멀티미디어 데이타를 전송하고 재생하는데 치중하여 MPEG-4의 특징인 다양한 객체의 지원이나 동적인 장면 구성의 지원이 미흡했다 본 논문에서는 MPEG-4 재생기의 핵심 구성요소인 효율적인 장면 구성기를 제안한다. 장면 구성기는 장면 그래프를 효율적으로 탐색하고, 자료구조를 생성하여 객체 정보를 그 특성에 맞게 관리하며, 상호작용 처리 능력을 향상시킨 최적의 처리기이다. 장면 구성기는 장면 기술 정보를 충분히 지원하며, 구성요소 확장과 모바일 환경에 적용하기 위해 재생기에서 독립적으로 관리된다.
