  • This paper is sequel to the paper titled 'A study on research methodology of the quoted verses in Dong-uisusebowon(2)'. In the previous study, Tao-ren-cheng-qi-tang(桃仁承氣湯) and Di-dang-tang (抵當湯) lines from Shanghanlun quoted in the Dong-uisusebowon were examined. Through this study, we learned that Heo, Jun corrected these texts in the Dong-uibogam to avoid logical contradiction, which were again quoted by Yi, Jema in the Dong-uisusebowon. Thus the quotations in Yi's book were also corrected of the contradictory lines as found in the source text, Shanghanlun. In this paper, I would like to examine the lines regarding Jeokseokji-uyeoryang-tang(赤石脂禹餘糧湯) and Gan-cao-xie-xin-tang(甘草瀉心湯). Firstly, in the case of Jeokseokji-uyeoryang-tang(赤石脂禹餘糧湯) lines, many changes in contents were made to resolve contradiction within the lines as previous cases. By quoting the Dong-uibogam directly, Yi, Jema inherited the thoughts of Heo, Jun in his work. Secondly, in the case of Gan-cao-xie-xin-tang(甘草瀉心湯) lines, Heo, Jun suggested new perspectives on Pi(痞, stuffiness) and Jie-xiong(結胸, chest bind) different to those of Zhang Zhong Jing, based on empirical knowledge of later days. Yi, Jema quoted these corrected lines, which implies Yi's agreement to the theories of Heo. However, Yi made clear his difference in perspective with Heo through his unique theory of the Four(Sasang) Constitutions. I conclude my research regarding quotations in the Dong-uisusebowon by stressing the necessity of research on the Dong-uibogam prior to any further research regarding quotations in the Dong-uisusebowon.

  • This reserch is to compare and analyze of the residence disposition and feature of ground plan on Seomi 2 Dong in An-dong and Hyun-ri in Mun-gyong. The scope of this reserch concentrated on 33-housed which are 12-housed in Seomi 2 Dong and 21-housed in Hyun-ri. The focus of this reserch is mainly to investigate the characteristic of the site, and ground plans on individual houses. As result of it, there are mostly Yeo-Kan houses (six spans sized) on Seomi 2-dong village in An-Dong on the other hand there are a lot of Straight-Houses in Hyun-ri in Mun-gyong. Otherwise in characteristic of residence, There is dissimilarity between Seomi 2-dong which located in mountainous districts has space organization of utilitarian and Hyun-Ri has justification primacy as a farm village.

  • Protein-tyrosine phosphatases (PTPs) constitute a family of receptor-like and cytoplasmic enzymes. which catalyze the dephosphorylation of phosphotyrosine residues in a variety of receptors and signaling molecules. Thirty subtypes of PTPs have been identified in human genomes. Among PTPs, PTP1 B has been suggested as a negative regulator of insulin signaling. Overexpression of this enzyme has been known as a cause of obesity and type II diabetes, so it is a target for drug discovery. (omitted)

  • DA-8159 is a new. highly selective. potent cyclic-GMP phosphodiesterase 5 inhibitor developed by Dong-A Pharmaceutical Company(Kyunggi, Korea) as an oral drug for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. NO- cGMP signal transduction pathway plays a key role for relaxation of corpus cavernosal smooth muscle. In this study. the efficacy of DA-8159 was evaluated by measuring the length of uncovered penile mucosa in spinal cord injury(SCI) rabbits. (omitted)

  • DA-8159 is a new PDEV (Phosphodiesterase V) inhibitor, synthesized by Dong-A Pharm., as an oral agent to treat male erectile dysfunction. To make a selection of the dosage of oral administration in carcinogenic studies, we studied preliminarily the pharmacokinetics of DA-8159 after single (at the 1$\^$st/ day) and 1-week (at the 7$\^$th/ day) oral administrations of the drug at doses of 15, 50 and 150 mg/kg/day, to male ICR mice. In 15mg/kg single and 1-week repeated oral administration groups, the concentrations of DA-8159 and DA-8164(the main metabolite of DA-8159) were below the limit of quantitation(LOQ:50ng/ml). • 東醫寶鑑(DongEuiBoGam) is considered as one of the most valuable medical books for Korean traditional medicine. Since 許浚(Heo Jun), the best physician on his day, wrote 東醫寶鑑(DongEuiBoGam), it has been not only a guidebook for basic medical studies, but also a field manual for clinicians. 東醫寶鑑(DongEuiBoGam) is a medical encyclopedia which integrated more than 81 medial classics. And its contents is well organized according to the symptoms of each disease. So today most clinics refer to 東醫寶鑑(DongEuiBoGam). But if we just read 東醫寶鑑(DongEuiBoGam) and use the prescriptions without understanding, the effect of medicine will be reduced by half. We should totally understand recipes in 東醫寶鑑(DongEuiBoGam) and be able to change the recipes according to the symptoms of each patient's disease. So finding the common traits of the recipes in 東醫寶鑑(DongEuiBoGam) is very important. In this research, the recipes of the fire part(火門) of Various Disease vol. Ⅲ(雜病篇 卷之三) are analyzed according to the traits of each herb in the recipes. And new classification of prescriptions according to the community of their traits is also suggested.

  • Background: Smokers with lung adenocarcinoma have a worse prognosis than those who have never smoked; the reasons for this are unclear. We aimed to elucidate the impact of smoking on patients' prognosis and the association between smoking and clinicopathologic factors, particularly histologic subtypes. Methods: We reviewed the records of 233 patients with pathologic stage T1-4N0-2M0 lung adenocarcinomas who underwent surgery between January 2004 and July 2015. The histologic subtypes of tumors were reassessed according to the 2015 World Health Organization classification. Results: In total, 114 patients had a history of smoking. The overall survival probabilities differed between never-smokers and ever-smokers (80.8% and 65.1%, respectively; p=0.003). In multivariate analyses, the predominant histologic subtype was an independent poor prognostic factor. Smoking history and tumor size >3 cm were independent predictors of solid or micropapillary (SOL/MIP)-predominance in the logistic regression analysis. Smoking quantity (pack-years) in patients with SOL/MIP-predominant tumors was greater than in those with lepidic-predominant tumors (p=0.000). However, there was no significant difference in smoking quantity between patients with SOL/MIP-predominant tumors and those whose tumors had non-predominant SOL/MIP components (p=0.150). Conclusion: Smoking was found to be closely associated with SOL/MIP-predominance in lung adenocarcinoma. Greater smoking quantity was related to the presence of a SOL/MIP component.

  • Soyosan is one of the most famous prescription in Oriental Medicine. It was showed for the first time in "Hwajegukbang(和劑局方)", the book of prescriptions, published in Song Dynasty, 1078. However, Soyosan did not include Maekmundong. Heojun as a author, made "Dong-uibogam" in 1613. Soyosan of "Dong-uibogam" had Maekmundong. In this study, I focused on how to get Maekmundong in "Dong-uibogam". Nonetheless, Soyosan originally didn't have Maekmundong. Soyosan and Maekmundong combined easily when Soyosan controlled disease related with Heat[熱]. Therefore, I suggest author or editor might put Maekmundong to Soyosan in "Dong-uibogam".
