The nucleophilic substitution reactions of naphthalene-1,5-disulfonyl chloride and 4-fluorosulfonylbenzenesulfonyl chloride with p-substituted anilines and methyl substituted pyridines in methanol-acetonitrile mixtures and hydrolyses of those disulfonyl halides have been studied by means of conductometric and polarographic methods. A large difference in the selective parameter, ${\rho}_N$ between mono-sulfonyl chloride and disulfonyl halide can be taken as an evidence that the second $SO_2Cl$ grolup of naphthalene-1,5-disulfonyl chloride also takes part in the reaction in contrast to sulfonyl fluoride in 4-fluorosulfonylbenzenesulfonyl chloride, which only acts as a substituent in the nucleophilic substitution reaction.

Ectopic pancreas is defined as an abnormally located pancreatic tissue not sufficiently connected with the normal pancreas, which rarely occurs in neonates. To our knowledge, only a few cases of ectopic pancreas have been reported in newborns in South Korea. We report a case of ectopic pancreas as the cause of intussusception and jejunal atresia in a newborn. This clinical association is extremely rare, and this is the first report in South Korea.

Objectives : The aim of this study was to show the rationale of point-selection on the methods of acupuncture and moxibustion in the Rhinological section(in the Oehyeong chapter) of the Dong Ui BO Gam. Methods : First, We summarized the cause of each disease in the Rhinological section(in the Oehyeong chapter) of the Dong Ui BO Gam. Then, We explained the rationale of acupoint-selection referring to the cause of disease, physiology of the Oriental medicine, other uses of each acupoints in the Dong Ui BO Gam, character of each acupoints, flow of meridian pathways and specific acupoints etc. Results and Conclusions : Total 15 acupoints were used in the Rhinological section(in the Oehyeong chapter) of the Dong Ui BO Gam. Most of acupoints were specific acupoints. But, some rationale of acupoint-selection were explained by the cause of disease, physiology of the Oriental medicine, other uses of each acupoints in the Dong Ui BO Gam, flow of meridian pathways etc.

Leuconostoc species are Gram-positive coccobacilli and are used in dairy products and are intrinsically resistant to vancomycin. Leuconostoc infections are rare in humans, usually occurring in immune-compromised patients. We describe 6 patients with Leuconostoc bacteremia at Dong-A university hospital between 1990 and 2015. One isolate (L. lactis) was identified to species level using 16S rRNA gene sequencing analysis. All patients had underlying diseases and 5 patients underwent procedures that interrupted the normal integumentary defense. Four patients died within 30 days after being identified as carrying Leuconostoc species.

DA-3711 is a novel, anti wrinkle agent containing growth factors derived from human skin culture. In this study, effect of topical application of DA-3711 on chronic ultraviolet B (UVB)-induced skin damage was evaluated in hairless mice model. Exposure to UVB for 8 weeks induced apparent wrinkles on the back skin of the mice. The dorsal surfaces were exposed to UVB for a further 8 weeks, during which the surfaces where treated daily by topically application of a lotion containing either 35％ or 70％ of DA-3711. For comparison, lotion base, lotion base containing Cylasphere Retinol(equation omitted) (2500 I.U., Coletica) and NouriCe $l^{(R)}$ (Biozhem) were applied topically once a day for 8 weeks.(omitted))

The purpose of this report is to investigate the clinical application of Korean Traditional treatment to abdominal pain patient after subdural hemorrhage occurred. The main herb medicine used in this study is Ondam-tang (wenda-tang) which is frequently used in psychiatric disorders. Also, acupuncture, moxibustion and physical rehabilitation treatment were practiced. After taking an Ondam-tang (wendan-tang), the clinical symptoms of the patient were improved.

In this paper, sufficient conditions for the controllability of integrodifferential systems are established. The results are obtained by using the Schauder fixed point theorem and the resolvent operator. Example is provided to illustrate the theory.
