제주 거문오름 용암동굴계의 진동영향에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study of the Effect of Vibration on the Geomunoreum Lava Tube System in Jeju)

  • 본 연구는 제주도에서 각종 개발과정 중 발생되는 지반진동이 용암동굴에 미치는 영향에 대해 분석하고, 용암동굴의 효율적인 관리보존 대책을 마련하기 위해 수행되었다. 이를 위해 제주도 거문오름동굴계분포지역에서 암질별 RMR과 Q-system 암반분류를 통해 지반상태를 평가하였고, 시추공 내에서 발파를 수행하여 만장굴 및 용천동굴에서 진동속도를 측정하였다. 암반분류 결과와 진동속도를 분석한 결과 암질이 좋을수록 진동의 영향이 크고, 암질이 불량할수록 진동영향이 작게 나타나는 경향을 보였으나 지반불균질성 등의 이유로 선형관계가 뚜렷하게 나타나진 않았다. 진동시험 결과를 토대로 진동속도(PPV)와 진동레벨(dB(V))의 상관관계식을 도출하였으며, 생활진동규제기준(진동레벨 주간 65 dB(V), 야간 60 dB(V))을 만족하려면 진동속도가 주간 0.371 cm/s, 야간 0.285 cm/s인 것으로 계산된다. 야간 진동기준이 더 보수적인 값이므로 허용진동기준은 0.285 cm/s 이하로 설정될 필요가 있다. 연구지역에서의 발파진동추정식 결정을 위하여 자승근 환산거리 및 삼승근 환산거리에 대해 선형 회귀분석을 수행한 결과, 결정계수(R2)가 0.76 이상으로 나타나 양호한 신뢰성을 가지는 것으로 평가되었다. 도출된 발파진동추정식의 자승근 관계식을 적용하여 문화재 진동기준치인 0.2 cm/s를 만족하는 장약량을 산정하였고, 동굴에서 50 m 이격된 경우 2.88 kg, 100 m 이격된 경우 11.52 kg으로 계산되었다.

  • Packaged power station (PPS) is a stationary diesel engine generator set and developed for the supply of electric power to small villages, islands and factories etc. Therefore, the PPS is closely installed to residence area and sometimes cause the environmental noise problems. In this paper, environmental noise analysis was performed for the power plant with 28 sets of PPS. The initial analysis results showed the some difference between the measurement and analysis because of the inaccurate noise source data. To improve the accuracy of analysis, main noise sources were inversely estimated using the in-situ measurement data in the vicinity of PPS and steam boiler. As the results of re-analysis, the good agreement was obtained and it was concluded that the noise levels exceed the specified noise limit in residence area. In order to reduce the noise, the several methods such as geometry alteration of inlet duct, application of hybrid-type silencer and noise protection barrier were suggested and verified with the confirmed analysis model.

Dynamic response of free-end rod with consideration of wave frequency

  • The energy transferred on drill rods by dynamic impact mainly determines the penetration depth for in-situ tests. In this study, the dynamic response and transferred energy of drill rods are determined from the frequency of the stress waves. AW-type drill rods of lengths 1 to 3 m are prepared, and strain gauges and an accelerometer are installed at the head and tip of the connected rods. The drill rods are hung on strings, allowing free vibration, and then impacted by a pendulum hammer with fixed potential energy. Increasing the rod length L increases the wave roundtrip time (2L/c, where c is the wave velocity), and hence the transferred energy at the rod head. At the rod tip, the first velocity peak is higher than the first force peak because a large and tensile stress wave is reflected, and the transferred energy converges to zero. The resonant frequency increases with rod length in the waveforms measured by the strain gauges, and fluctuates in the waveforms measured by the accelerometer. In addition, the dynamic response and transferred energy are perturbed when the cutoff frequency is lower than 2 kHz. This study implies that the resonant frequency should be considered for the interpretation of transferred energy on drill rods.

터널 주행을 고려한 고속열차의 실내소음 특성 평가 (Evaluation of Interior Sounds of High-speed Trains Considering the Condition of Tunnel Running)

  • conducted. In-situ measurements were conducted to investigate the noise characteristics in high-speed trains such as KTX and KTX-Sancheon. Binaural microphones and spherical microphone were adopted to record and evaluate the spectral characteristics and noise incidence characteristics at the seats in the passenger cars. Environmental elements were also recorded during the noise measurements using a camcorder and GPS application. In addition, auditory tests were conducted to investigate annoyance of interior noise of high-speed trains. Based on the objective measure and subjective responses on interior noise, statistical analysis such as correlation and regression analyses were carried out. From the results perception models for evaluating the interior noise of high-speed train were derived.

The Investigation of Electro-Oxidation of Methanol on Pt-Ru Electrode Surfaces by in-situ Raman Spectroscopy

  • Assisted by the highly sensitive confocal microprobe Raman spectrometer and proper surface roughening procedure, the Raman investigation on the adsorption and reaction of methanol was performed on Pt-Ru electrodes with different coverages. A detailed description of the roughening process of the Pt electrodes and the underpotential deposition of the Ru was given. Reasonably good Raman signal reflecting the metal-carbon vibration and CO vibration was detected. The appearance of vibrations of the Ru oxides, together with the existence of Ru-C, Pt-C and CO bands, clearly demonstrates the participation of the bi-functional mechanism during the oxidation process of methanol on Pt-Ru electrodes. The Pt-Ru electrode was found to have a higher catalytic activity over Pt electrodes. This preliminary study shows that electrochemical Raman spectroscopy can be applied to the study of rough electrode surface.

철도분야 매입말뚝 설계기준 및 적용 현황 (Design criteria and Case History of Korean Railway for Auger-drilled Pilling)

  • Active application of auger-drilled piling is expected in Korea considering its advantage in noise and vibration problems against driven piling and its cost-effectiveness in comparison to the cast in-situ piling. The current design practice being used in Korea is adopted from the Japanese one, however the equipment and construction procedure is modified for the geotechnical conditions and construction circumstances in Korea. Therefore there is an urgent need for the establishment of the rational design criteria for the auger-drilled piling in Korea. As the preliminary work for the establishment, this paper presents the current practice in Korean railway constructions. Design criteria of Korea Railway Network Authority are introduced and its characteristics and the problems are described. Application cases of auger-drilled pile to railway construction are introduced as well.

터널굴착시 천공 및 발파조건이 여굴의 크기에 미치는 영향 (Effect of the Drilling & Blasting Conditions on the Range of Overbreak in Tunel Excavation)

  • Overbreak, underbreak and range of disturbed rock zone (DRZ) are the most important factors in evaluating the results of tunnel blasting. These factors, which depend on the discontinuities in rock mass, the blasting patterns and drilling conditions, have been studied. The range of DRZ can be estimated by relationships between vibration velocity and associated tensile stress. A new computerized rocket jumbo drill has been adopted to reduce overbreak based on the analysis of drilling accuracy. In-situ blasting tests were also performed by varying initiating systems. Overbreak can be reduce from 34.5cm to 20cm. The range of DRZ is 0.2m with stoping holes and 0.4m with wall holes respectively. In addition, some methods to reduce DRZ have been presented in this study.

양생중인 콘크리트에서의 발파진동의 영향 시험방법에 대한 연구 (A Study on Experimental Method of Blasting Vibration in Curing Concrete)

  • 최근 건설되는 터널은 장대화될 뿐만아니라 파쇠대 등의 불량한 지반을 통과하는 사례가 많아지고 있다. 지반 강도가 좋지 않을 때는 터널의 소성변형이 일어나고 때로는 붕락하는 사례도 발생한다. 지금까지의 터널시공방식은 굴착작업이 완료된 후에 라이닝콘크리트를 타설하는 순차적 시공방법이었다. 이 방법은 공사기간이 길고 비용이 많이 들어갈 뿐만 아니라 파쇄대나 소성지반에서 굴착후 장기간 방치했을 때, 터널의 안정을 기대하기 어려운 경우도 있다. 이에 따라 양북터널에서는 터널굴착과 라이닝콘크리트를 동시에 시공하여 공사기간 단축은 물론 심한 파쇄대구간에서 터널을 조기에 안정시키기 위해 동시시공을 계획하게 되었다. 동시시공을 위한 사전 검토사항으로서 발파굴착과 동시에 콘크리트를 타설했을 때 발파진동이 라이닝콘크리트의 강도에 미치지 않는 안전한 이격거리를 산출하기 위한 시험을 현장에서 시행하였다. 또한 동시시공을 위한 라이닝폼의 개선과 콘크리트 타설방법 개선, 집진기를 이용한 환기방식의 개선과 설비의 재배치 등을 동시에 시행하였다.

연성 금속의 파괴과정에서 발생하는 소성영역의 현장 측정 (In-situ Measurement of Plastic Zone Developed During Ductile Fracture Process)

  • A plastic zone size is regarded as a measure of material resistance, and also it determines the fracture behavior. The importance of estimating or measuring the plastic zone size cannot be too emphasized. In this article, SDSP(Stereo Digital Speckle Photography) is examined as a new techniques to measure the plastic zone developed in a ductile metal. This technique is simple, vibration free and non-contact, and measures simultaneously in-plane displacements as well as out-of plane displacements like the side necking. Experimental results for a CT specimen are presented to demonstrate the accuracy in comparison with those obtained by recrystallization technique and finite element analysis.

무소음·무진동을 위한 환경친화적인 스크류콘크리트말뚝의 시공법에 따른 말뚝 인접 지반의 강도 회복 특성 (A Characteristics of the Strength Recovery of the Soil Adjacent to the Pile Depending on the Construction Methods of a Environment-friendly Screw Concrete Pile for a Noise- and Vibration-free Method)

  • 2가지 시공법(즉 선단분출형슈방식, 선행굴착방식)으로 시공한 무소음 무진동을 위한 스크류콘크리트말뚝의 인접지반에서 시공 전 후 및 11개월 경과 시 원위치시험(CPT, SPT)을 실시하였다. 선단분출형슈방식 시공법의 경우 시공 직후 말뚝 중심~3.5D(여기서 D : 말뚝직경)의 영역에 있는 지반의 강도는 원지반 강도의 46%정도로 크게 감소하였으며 시공 후 약 11개월 경과 시 말뚝 인접 지반의 강도회복은 원 지반 강도의 71%정도로 나타났다. 선행굴착방식 시공법의 경우 11개월 경과 시 말뚝 인접 지반의 강도는 원지반의 전단강도까지 회복되는 것으로 나타났다.
