  • The set-net fishing is involved in the trap fishing method that intercepts the fishes migrating along the coast and induces them to be in the bag net stretched in advance. And this fishing also corresponds to the licensed fishing in fisheries law. Though its annual total production of around 50,000 to 70,000 M/T is less than in other fishery section, its price becomes higher because the fishes are sold in the live fish condition. Until recently, the set-net fishing is one of the preferred fisheries on account of its less operation expense and stably operating condition in a long term. In the meantime, the industrialization in Korea having been prospered along coastal area and the over fishing in terms of the powered and larger size fishing boat make the fishing ground environment worse yearly. In addition, its difficulty becomes more worse with issuing fishery product free import in July 1997; accordingly, the strategy for the set-net fishing through business rationalization should be considered. From the discussion of the sort of set-net, general present situation and operating actual state of set-net fishing, the improved methods for business rationalization in the present paper is proposed as follows: 1. to increase the fisheries resource through prevention of the marine contamination and purification of coastal area environment. 2. to save the labour cost through the improved the fishing gear. 3. to improve the fish quality through development of the process technology. 4. to increase the income of fishers through improvement of the distribution channels.

  • With regard to CSR, Proactive CSR has been less researched in small and medium enterprises(SMEs). This study examines empirically the association between SME's organizational capabilities, proactive CSR and performance as well as a moderating role of perceived uncertainty between capabilities and proactive CSR. Using quantitative data collected from sample of 485 SMEs in Korea, we find that all specified capabilities are positively associated with adoption of proactive CSR by SMEs and that proactive CSR is, in turn, associated with an improvement in firm performance. In addition, we also find a mediating role of proactive CSR on the association between capabilities and performance as well as a moderating role of perceived uncertainty between capabilities and performance. The study is likely to contribute to SME's CSR strategy.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of perceived enjoyment and user's characteristics on the intention of continuous use when users play social network games on a mobile device. In addition, the study empirically investigated the mediating effect of flow experience in this process. To fulfill the purpose, this study conducted a survey on 244 college students and collected data. When the collected data was analyzed, the followings were known. First, perceived enjoyment, and both self-efficacy and innovation propensity of user's characteristics turned out to have a positive (+) effect on the intention of continuous use in mobile social network game. Second, in the process, it was known that flow experience played a mediating role. These findings are expected to be useful data in developing game contents of high quality or making a marketing strategy for continuous improvement of online social network game industry. In addition, future studies are expected to generalize the research to various age groups.

  • Purpose : The purpose of present study was to determine effects of a task-oriented circuit training(TOCT) for lower limb on walking ability after stroke. Methods : Twenty one chronic stroke patients participated. Participants were randomly divided into either TOCT group or control group(11 experimental, 10 control). All of participants were in-patients at local rehabilitation centre and had been receiving a traditional rehabilitation program, five days a week. TOCT group have additionally undergone for four weeks, three days a week, the TOCT program but control group was not received any additional program except the traditional rehabilitation program. The 10 m walking test (10MWT), the 2 min walking test (2MWT), the step test (ST) and the figure-8 walking test (F8WT) to measure a walking ability were carried out twice before and after training. Results : After participation in the program, subjects of TOCT demonstrated a significant improvement in the scores of the 10MWT, 2MWT, the ST, the F8WT. The control group had no change on the any tests. After the training, the results to improve significantly in TOCT group compared to post-test of control group were the time of 10MWT and the time and the step of curved walking of F8WT. Conclusion : The present study suggests that the TOCT program may become a useful strategy for enhancing walking ability in the rehabilitation of stroke patients.

  • Purpose : The purpose of present study was to determine effects of a visual feedback training on balance ability in poststroke hemiparetic subjects. Methods : Fourteen chronic stroke patients participated. Participants were randomly divided into either visual feedback training group(7 experimental group, 7 control group). All of participated were inpatients at local rehabilitation center and had been receiving a traditional rehabilitation program, five days a week. Exprimental group have additionally undergone for four weeks, three days a week, the visual feedback training but control group was not received any additional program except the traditional rehabilitation program. The Berg Balance Scale(BBS), the FICSIT-4, the MTD-balance system to measure a balance ability were carried out twice before and after training. • Purpose: This study was done to determine if osteoarthritis (OA) patients living in rural Korea would have a benefit from a structured group program focused on self-help strategies. Methods: A hundred and twenty-six patients with OA were recruited from nine Primary Health Care Posts. The experimental group received a 6-week self-help education program while the control group received usual care. T-tests and c2-tests were used to determine the homogeneity between the experimental and control groups. Independent sample t-tests were performed to determine the effect of the treatment program. To guard against such likelihood, the level of significance of t-test was determined by Bonferroni correction within the study constructs. When significant group differences were found in study variables at baseline, analysis of covariances (ANCOVAs) were used for group comparisons of outcome variables. Results: The experimental group reported more significant improvement in fatigue, difficulty with physical activity, depression, quality of life, self-efficacy, and health behaviors than did the control group. The experimental group also showed improvements in range of motion and muscle strength as compared to the control group. Conclusion: A self-help group education program was an effective and powerful strategy to promote physical and psychosocial health in OA patients

  • Purpose: To identify the effects of modified parenteral nutrition (PN) and enteral nutrition (EN) regimens on the growth of very low birth weight (VLBW) infants. Methods: The study included VLBW infants weighing <1,500 g, admitted to Chungnam National University Hospital between October 2010 and April 2014, who were alive at the time of discharge. Subjects were divided according to 3 periods: period 1 (n=37); prior to the PN and EN regimen being modified, period 2 (n=50); following the PN-only regimen modification, period 3 (n=37); following both PN and EN regimen modification. The modified PN regimen provided 3 g/kg/day of protein and 1 g/kg/day of lipid on the first day of life. The modified EN regimen provided 3.5-4.5 g/kg/day of protein and 150 kcal/kg/day of energy. We investigated growth rate, anthropometric measurements at 40 weeks postconceptional age (PCA) and the incidence of extrauterine growth restriction (EUGR) at 40 weeks PCA. Results: Across the 3 periods, clinical characteristics, including gestational age, anthropometric measurements at birth, multiple births, sex, Apgar score, surfactant use and PDA treatment, were similar. Growth rates for weight and height, from time of full enteral feeding to 40 weeks PCA, were higher in period 3. Anthropometric measurements at 40 weeks PCA were greatest in period 3. Incidence of weight, height and head circumference EUGR at 40 weeks PCA decreased in period 3. Conclusion: Beginning PN earlier, with a greater supply of protein and energy during PN and EN, is advantageous for postnatal growth in VLBW infants.

  • Korean management agency and production's size is bigger than ever applying diversification strategy since the Korean Wave started in 2000. Thus, the cross-ownership between two sectors is widespread and it's side effect such as unfair trading occurred among them. Came up with this problem, this study has focused on the analysis of the cross-ownership status of the entire Korean listed agencies and productions and the quest of the alternatives to solve the problem through in-depth interviews of the stakeholders and experts. Results showed that the horizontal regulation and American regulatory systems should be applied considering the previous law because the cross-ownership level was so high. In conclusion, it was proposed three regulatory models as follows : first, accept the cross-ownership and prohibit casting their contracted actors in their art, second, ban on the cross-ownership and allow mutual investment within a 10 to 20 percent stake, third, blanket ban on the cross-ownership and investment.
