한우 씨수소의 상대적 수정능 추정에 관한 연구 (Study on Estimation of Relative Conception Rate in Hanwoo Bull)

  • The conception rate of cow is a major factor in farm management. The environment of farm and management of cow are the best influencing factors on conception rate, and the fertility of bull is the second influencing factor. In Hanwoo bull, however, the informations limited to performance and carcass traits have been offered to Hanwoo farmer. Therefore, this study analysed the estimated relative conception rates (ERCR) for estimation of fertility of bulls, using the 8,892 mating data with 116 heads of prove bull to produce progeny. Mean of least square means of conception rate after first insemination was 50.95% in bull herds. On the standard of this mean, ERCRs after first insemination of each bull were analysed. Values ranged from -26.1% to +21.0%, the difference was 47.1%. Among 116 heads of bull analysed, KPN582 showed the highest ERCR as 21.0%, KPN550 (18.3%), KPN656 (16.7%), KPN632 (15.8%), KPN690 (14.9%) were gone behind, but KPN621 was the lowest as -26.1%, KPN680 (-21.3%), KPN674 (-16.2%), KPN569 (-15.9%), KPN699 (-14.9%) were succeeded. If ERCRs of Hanwoo bull will be offered to Hanwoo farmer, it will be worthwhile.

한우의 FAA (Fertility-Associated Antigen)에 대한 반응성과 정액성상 및 인공수정 수태율과의 관계 (Relationships between Response to FAA (Fertility-Associated Antigen) and Semen Characteristics and Conception Rate of Artificial Insemination in Hanwoo)

  • This study was undertaken to determine whether the presence of fertility-associated antigen (FAA) in semen would influence semen characteristics and conception rate of artificial insemination in Hanwoo. The response to FAA of 36 heads of proven bull, 7 heads of young bull, and 27 heads of performance-tested bull was that one proven bull was FAA-negative and the others were FAA-positive, therefore FAA-negative bull was 1.4%. FAA-negative bull was lower in first and second semen concentrations than those of FAA-positive bull in 5,301 semen of 21 heads of proven bull, then FAA-negative bull was fewer as 11.5% in total sperm counts. The estrus of 22 heads was 70d-nonreturned in 36 cows first inseminated with frozen semen of FAA-negative bull, but that of 249 heads in 378 cows first inseminated with frozen semen of FAA-positive bull. Each conception rate was 61.1% and 65.9%, respectively. The difference of conception rates was 4.8%. These results indicate that the response of FAA to semen were influenced semen characteristics and conception rate of artificial insemination, but further investigations are needed to confirm the results.

공동주택에 적용된 Shaft Box형 발코니의 환경성능 검토 (An Investigation of Environmental Performance on Shaft Box Type Balcony Adopted to Apartment Building)

  • This study focus on shaft box facade, special form of box window construction. It consists of a system of box window with continuous vertical shafts that extend over a number of stories to create a stack effect. The subject building was decided by analyzing various types of exiting apartments. Shaft box type balcony was devised by setting up shaft space at a part of balcony. Air flow and indoor air temperature were simulated, performance of shaft box type balcony was compared with existing types using VE computer simulation program. Research consequence can be summarized as follow: 1) In the case of existing types, the change of window opening rate has only a little effect on the improvement of indoor temperature. But, air flow rate increased two times in the case that changed opening rate 20% to 40% 2) In the case of existing types, the growth of air flow rate has little effect on the improvement of indoor temperature. But, shaft box type represented the remarkable effect on the improvement of indoor temperature as well as the growth of air flow rate.

시기능 훈련 시스템을 이용한 훈련 효과에 관한 연구 (The Study on the Effect of Vision Training System)

  • 목적: 본 연구는 새롭게 개발한 MYSTERY CIRCLE, Anaglyphs 및 Block string을 이용하여 양안시 기능적, 감각적, 증상 변화에 대해 비교 관찰하고, 훈련방식별 개선효과와 실용 가능성을 알아보고자 하였다. 방법: 대상자는 T안경원의 75명의 시기능 훈련 대상자(남자 40명, 여자 35명)이며 7주(49일)동안 시기능 훈련을 실시하였다. 결과: 모든 훈련방식(MYSTERY CIRCLE, Anaglyphs, Block string)에서 시기능 훈련자의 양안시 개선에 도움이 되었으나, 정상화 성공기준에 포함된 대상자수를 비교한 결과 MYSTERY CIRCLE훈련이 유의수준 0.05에서 다른 훈련방식과 유의한 차이를 보였다. 결론: 본 연구에서 MYSTERY CIRCLE 훈련이 양안시 이상자의 시기능 개선 및 정상화에 우수한 개선효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 본 논문에서는 마이크 입력레벨 조절기의 구현과 이를 이용한 인식률의 향상을 다룬다. 마이크를 통한 음성 입력이 너무 작거나 너무 크면 인식률에 직접 영향을 미치므로 인식에 적합한 입력레벨로 조절할 필요가 있다. 자동 입력레벨 조절기의 구현을 위해 고려할 사항을 연구했으며, 이를 통해 PC환경의 입력레벨 조절기를 구현했다. 수집된 음성 데이터베이스는 켑스트럼 평균차감법(CMS)을 이용하여 채널왜곡을 보상했으며, 구현된 조절기를 이용하여 실험한 결과, 이용하지 않은 경우에 비해 약 50%의 오인식율을 줄일 수 있었다.

  • 얼굴 인식률 향상을 위해서는 전처리 단계에서의 영상 보정이 매우 중요하며, 특히 배경 잡음 제거는 얼굴 인식의 정확도에 중대한 영향을 미친다. 본 논문에서는 얼굴 인식률 향상을 위하여 전처리 단계에서 타원 모델을 이용하여 배경 영역을 제거하는 방법을 제안하였다. 사람의 얼굴 윤곽은 타원의 형태를 나타내기 때문에 얼굴 영상에서 타원 모델을 이용할 경우 얼굴 영역을 용이하게 검출할 수 있다. ETRI, ORL, 및 XM2VTS 얼굴 데이터베이스에 대한 실험 분석을 통하여 제안된 방법이 얼굴 인식 성능을 뚜렷하게 개선시켰음을 알 수 있었다.

A New Modified MPPM for High-Speed Wireless Optical Communication Systems

  • Previous work proposed combining multipulse pulse position modulation (MPPM) with pulse amplitude modulation to form multipulse amplitude and position modulation (MPAPM), which is a hybrid modulation that results in an improvement in bandwidth efficiency but a degradation in power efficiency. In this paper, to achieve greater power efficiency and a better data rate, we propose multipulse dual amplitude-width modulation, based on MPAPM and pulse width modulation. The proposed scheme shows a remarkable improvement in data rate and a 1.5-dB improvement in power efficiency over MPAPM, while sustaining the bandwidth efficiency. After introducing symbol structure, we present the theoretical expressions of spectral efficiency, the power requirements, and the normalized data rate, as well as the results of comparing the proposed modulation to MPPM and MPAPM.

ANALYSIS OF THE SUITABLE INJECTION PRESSURE FOR DIESEL INJECTION WITH HIGH PRESSURE

  • Spray patterns were visualized using the shadowgraph method, and the droplet size and velocity were measured using PDPA for high-pressure injections up to 2,600 bars. The spray pattern and spray characteristics, such as penetration, spray width, spray angle, droplet size, injection duration, and droplet velocity, were investigated to determine the suitable injection pressure. Spray penetration, width, angle, and velocity increased continuously up to 2,600 bars with the injection pressure in a high-pressure region. The rate of improvement of the above spray characteristics, however, declined rapidly, when the injection pressure reached 2,000 bars. The injection duration and droplet size generally decreased with the increase in the injection pressure, while the rate of improvement decreased abruptly after 2,000 bars. Consequently, the improvement rate of the spray characteristics became blunt at over 2,000 bars. This means that the suitable injection pressure is around 2,000 bars.

Standardization of Sample Handling Methods to Reduce the Rate of Inadequate Sampling

  • Purpose: The predominant approach for mitigating inadequate sampling rates has primarily involved bolstering the volume of education. This study aimed to curtail inadequate sampling rates through the implementation of continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities, tailoring effective methods to the unique needs of each institution. Methods: We developed a sample handling guidebook and implemented QI activities to address this issue. Results: These measures resulted in a 4.7% decrease in inadequate sampling rates, concurrently improving knowledge of sample handling and overall nurse satisfaction. We addressed the root causes of inadequate sampling before laboratory pre-processing by: 1) focusing on systematic rather than erratic errors through CQI activities, 2) revising the sample handling guide, and 3) delivering face-to-face education based on the specific needs of the nursing department. These changes resulted in an additional 0.6% decrease in the inadequate sampling rate. Conclusion: This study demonstrates that the implementation of CQI activities based on evidence derived from a multifaceted causal analysis significantly reduced the inadequate sampling rate compared to previous studies.

주거환경개선사업지구의 필지개발 방안에 관한 연구 - 개별필지집적방식에 의한 노인복지공동주택사업의 적용가능성을 중심으로 - (The research of estate development scheme in residential environment improvement)

  • When rate of stated and public owned demesne in residential environment improvement is low under the limited resources of revenues, the new infrastructure for the maintenance of the existing estate has increased land reduction rate thus the place where lot of small estate find it difficult to accept as the feature of residential environment improvement. Although 'Diffusion model of residential environment improvement' which designed to overcome existing residential environment improvement, is middle of progress, there is not any suggestion made to solve problem caused by short of estate in order to maintain small estate and total Infrastructure. In feature of resident, we also notice ageing not only facilities and building. 'Elderly housing' can be presented as an alternative living style to solve housing and elderly matter which are caused by accumulation of individual estate and aging at once. Therefore, this research identifies resident's perception about elderly housing and recognizes task and potentialities that has to be solved in order to apply virtually to residential environment improvement.
