  • This paper examine how CCT affected to writing task performance and EEG through 24 elementary students from in July to September, 2014. The study analyzed EEG that was changed in a task performance under an orange color light and a white color light in a laboratory for stabilization and relaxation. The study results showed that an alpha wave, beta wave, high-beta wave were high under the white color light. The task performance time, however, showed significant fast performance under the orange color light. Although pre-existing low CCT has been considered as typical type for stabilization and relaxation, this study provides that the various applications in the elements of cognition, tasks, and types can affect improvement of task performance and occupation ability.

  • This study's primary purpose is to explore the psychological capital roles and personality traits of Big-Five in predicting OCB (organizational citizenship behavior) and performance of task in Indonesia's electricity sector. The data were gathered from the employees of four major cities in Indonesia, in Southeast Sulawesi, comprising 246 employees. The data were analyzed utilizing a PLS (partial least squares) based SEM (structural equation modeling) technique. The findings indicate that the psychological capital and personality traits of Big-Five relate significantly to OCB and the performance of task. Nevertheless, against our expectations, OCB does not significantly relate to the performance of task. This study also discusses the findings' further implications. In terms of practical implications, the findings of this research stipulate that psychological capital and Big-Five personality traits aimed to improve employee performance and can be most effective if specifically targeted at OCB. Given that both variables play an important role to promote OCB, caring training initiatives that focus on mutual help can be very valuable for organizational improvement. In a managerial perspective, organizations can increase OCB by conducting open communication strategies between managers and employees to further stimulate and strengthen the ability of employees to display extra-role behaviors.

  • PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to compare task-oriented balance training on stable and unstable surfaces in terms of the fall risk, balance, and gait abilities in patients with stroke. METHODS: Twenty patients with stroke were divided randomly into a stable surface group (SSG, N=10) or unstable surface group (USG, N=10). The participants in the SSG and USG performed task-oriented balance training on stable and unstable surfaces, respectively. All participants were evaluated using the Tetrax, Berg balance scale (BBS), and 10-meter walking test (10MWT) before and after the intervention. Both groups received training 30 min per day, five times per week, for six weeks. RESULTS: The within-group changes in the fall risk, BBS, and 10MWT were significantly different in both USG and SSG (p<.05). USG showed significantly more improvement in the BBS and 10MWT compared to SSG (p<.05). CONCLUSION: Task-oriented balance training on an unstable surface is more beneficial in improving the balance and gait abilities of stroke patients.

  • The department of processing is one to supervise the care for documents and the transaction of business and is also the starting point for task and production of records. In the department of processing, it not only produces records but also performs most tasks including keeping on file, organizing, arranging the period of preservation and transferring. Despite the importance of this record management in the department of processing, the problem of record management in the department of processing is considered to the private problem such as lack of will of task performers. After investigating the importance of record management and the record management that task performers think through a survey, this study deducts the matters to improve in the task of record management at the institution.

  • In education, evaluation is an important element because instructor can judge the growth and development of students, it has been to bring about quality improvement in education. Performance assessment has emerged to overcome traditional evaluation such as paper test, multiple choice test. Performance assessment is an approach to measuring a student's status based on the way the student completes a specified task. Information literacy instruction is aimed at cultivating information literacy. Performance assessment suitable for measurement to status of Information literacy. In order to performance assessment, task should have the first. However, instructor is difficult to develop a good performance task to meet the assessment needs. Therefore, this research aims at suggesting the developmental tool of performance task applicable to Information literacy instruction. The proposed tool is a template type, consists of 4 steps, educational goals and learning objectives, knowledge and capabilities, task types, measurement and scoring criteria.

  • Purpose: Caffeine is the most widely consumed psychostimulant. It is often adopted as a tool to modulate brain activations in fMRI studies. However, its pharmaceutical effect on task-induced deactivation has not been fully examined in fMRI. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to examine the effect of caffeine on both activation and deactivation under sustained attention. Materials and Methods: Task fMRI was acquired from 26 caffeine naive healthy volunteers before and after taking caffeine pill (200 mg). Results: Statistical analysis showed an increase in cognition-load dependent task activation but a decrease in load dependent de-activation after caffeine ingestion. Increase of attention and memory task activation and its load-dependence suggest a beneficial effect of caffeine on the brain even though it has no overt behavior improvement. The reduction of deactivation by caffeine and its load-dependence indicate reduced facilitation from task-negative networks. Conclusion: Caffeine affects brain activity in a load-dependent manner accompanied by a disassociation between task-positive network and task-negative network.

  • Objective: Neuromuscular training may often result in an incomplete improvement of biomechanical risk factors associated with non-contact ACL injury. This study aimed to investigate the effects of reactive neuromuscular training (RNT) on dynamic postural control of the lower extremity during single-leg drop landing (SLDL) in comparison with conventional neuromuscular training (CNT). Method: Twenty-eight recreational female athletes were randomized to a CNT group (n=15) or a RNT group (n=13). All participants performed SLDL for three-dimensional motion analysis before and after CNT and RNT. The kinematic variable was calculated from before 50 milliseconds (ms) to after 100 ms initial contact: joint angle (degree). The kinetic variable was calculated from initial contact to after 100 ms: internal net joint moment (Nm/kg). Time series curve for normalized data was represented for group means and associated 95% confidence intervals. Effect sizes using Cohen's d was also calculated. Results: In within-group differences, the CNT group showed decreased knee flexion angle (0~100% of the task) and decreased knee valgus angle (0~50% of the task) after the intervention, whereas the RNT group showed increased hip flexion angle (0~14% of the task), decreased hip adduction angle (0~100% of the task), and decreased knee valgus angle (0~100% of the task) after the intervention. In between-group differences, the RNT group exhibited more hip flexion angle (0~49, 61~91% of the task), more knee flexion angle (0~100% of the task), and less knee valgus angle (0~55% of the task) than the CNT group. Conclusion: These findings suggest that both training intervention programs modified dynamic posture of the hip and knee during SLDL. Therefore, combining a neuromuscular training program with RNT technique would be more efficient for future injury prevention efforts.

  • This paper proposes a method to mitigate the Catastrophic Forgetting phenomenon in which artificial neural networks forget information on previous data. This method adjusts the Regularization strength by measuring the relationship between previous data and present data. MNIST and EMNIST data were used for performance evaluation and experimented in three scenarios. The experiment results showed a 0.1~3% improvement in the accuracy of the previous task for the same domain data and a 10~13% improvement in the accuracy of the previous task for different domain data. When continuously learning data with various domains, the accuracy of all previous tasks achieved more than 50% and the average accuracy improved by about 7%. This result shows that neural network learning can be properly performed in a CL environment in which data of different domains are successively entered by the method of this paper.
