Aure's tonality was considered as the sound metrics for the expression of the tonality of gear whine sound in a previous research. It was failed to use the Aure's tonality as a sound metric for the tonal impression. Thus Aures's tonality, was developed for tonal impression in previous research. However, this metric did not express well the tonality of gear whine sound since the whine sound is a non-stationary signal with frequency modulation and amplitude modulation. In this study, the new method for the tonality evaluation for a non-stationary signal is presented. It is developed based on the prominence ratio, tonality impression function, and lower threshold level. It improves the accuracy and reliability of the sound quality index being used for the sound quality evaluation of the axle-gear whine sound.
PURPOSE. The purpose of this in vitro study was to evaluate the marginal misfits of three-unit frameworks fabricated with conventional and digital impressions techniques. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Thirty brass canine and second premolar abutment preparations were fabricated by using a computer numerical control machine and were randomly divided into 3 groups (n=10) as follows: conventional impression group (Group Ci), Cerec Omnicam (Group Cdi), and 3shape TRIOS-3 (Group Tdi) digital impression groups. The laser-sintered metal frameworks were designed and fabricated with conventional and digital impressions. The marginal adaptation was assessed with a stereomicroscope at ${\times}30$ magnification. The data were analyzed with 1-way analysis of variances (ANOVAs) and the independent simple t tests. RESULTS. A statistically significant difference was found between the frameworks fabricated by conventional methods and those fabricated by digital impression methods. Multiple comparison results revealed that the frameworks in Group Ci (average, $98.8{\pm}16.43{\mu}m$; canine, $93.59{\pm}16.82{\mu}m$; premolar, $104.10{\pm}15.02{\mu}m$) had larger marginal misfit values than those in Group Cdi (average, $63.78{\pm}14.05{\mu}m$; canine, $62.73{\pm}13.71{\mu}m$; premolar, $64.84{\pm}15.06{\mu}m$) and Group Tdi (average, $65.14{\pm}18.05{\mu}m$; canine, $70.64{\pm}19.02{\mu}m$; premolar, $59.64{\pm}16.10{\mu}m$) (P=.000 for average; P=.001 for canine; P<.001 for premolar). No statistical difference was found between the marginal misfits of canine and premolar abutment teeth within the same groups (P>.05). CONCLUSION. The three-unit frameworks fabricated with digital impression techniques showed better marginal fit compared to conventional impression techniques. All marginal misfit values were clinically acceptable.
The purpose of this study is to find out the various impressions that tone-on-tone coloration of shirts and ties gives. This experiment was based on the $2\times4\times4\times2$ factorial designs; colors (purple and green), shirt tones (vivid, light, dull, and dark), tie tones (vivid, light, dull, and dark) and perceivers' genders (male and female). The materials in the experiment developed for this study were composed of various stimuli and the response scales for each stimulus. The stimuli were 32 upper body photographs, which were color printed by CAD system (4D-box program). We unified those colors of shirts and ties, and then made shirt and tie tone different. 27 bi-polar adjectives, each of which was graded into seven in its degree, were used to evaluate the impression. The subjects of this research were 192 male and 192 female college students in Gyeongnam province including Jinju City. The data was analyzed by using SPSS program. Analyzing methods were one-way ANOVA and LSD test. The items of the adjectives were classified into 5 impression dimensions; potency, activeness, attractiveness, visibility and tenderness. In conclusion the impression through matching shirts and ties could be varied by the colors and the tones of shirts and ties. This study can be used as the basic color data in the males' clothes market which gradually pursuits high-quality, personality, and variety.
The purpose of this study is to identify the effect of four clothing cues(hue, tone, skirt width, and skirt length of dress)on female impressions. The experimental materials developed for this study are a set of stimuli and response scales. The Stimuli are 40 color pictures manipulated with four clothing cues by drawing. The 7-point scale designed for visual evaluation of female impression formation includes 29 bipolar adjectives. The subjects were 240 undergraduate female students in Chinju city. The results of this study are as follow: As analyzing the impression of female figure by the hue, tone, skirt width, and length, five factors including ability. activity, elegance, attractiveness, concentration of attention, and tenderness were identified. Among these factors, ability·activity and elegance were proved to be more important. Some interaction effects of clothing cues were found. The combination of skirt width and tone had significant effects on ability. activity. Hue and tone of dress had significant effects on concentration of attention and tenderness. Skirt width and hue, and skirt length and hue had significant effects on the impression of attractiveness. Also skirt length and hue significant effects on concentration of attention.

This study examines the effects of clothing style and the order effect on impression formation. The instrument of this study consisted of response scales and stimuli. Fifty-one items of 7-point semantic differential scales, 9 items of demographic traits, and 4 items of subjective evaluation scales were developed. Stimuli were color pictures of a model wearing each of two clothing styles(mannish style, feminine style). The sample include 56 male and female subjects in their twenties and thirties. The experimental design was within-subject design and the half of the sample responded to the mannish style first and the other half responded to the feminine style first. Responses to the semantic differential scales were factor analyzed, and seven factors were identified: intellectuality, sensibility, activity, modesty, competence, display, keenness. There were significant differences between mannish style and feminine style in impression of wearer's age, job, and physical attractiveness as well as wearer's intellectuality and sensibility. It was revealed that the first impression and second impression of wearer's intellectuality, sensibility, modesty, competence, display were differed by the function of the order of stimuli shown to the subjects. Both primacy effect and recency effect of order effect were confirmed, and especially negativity effect was influenced prominently on impression formation.

The purposes of this study were 1) to extend the gestalt theory in an attempt to explain the effect of garment clues(formality, color) perceiver's gender, and contexts on impression formation of a male high school teacher, and 2) to found out high school students' attitude toward their teacher's school outfits. The experimental design was a quasi-experimental with full factorial design of 4 independent variables : 3(formality levels)x2(garment colors)x2(perceiver's gender)x2(con- texts) The experimental materials developed for the study were a set of stimuli and response scale. The stimuli consisted of 12 color photographs produced by CAD system and response scale constituted of 28 bipolar adjectives representing personal traits. In addition to the qualitative research was also performed. The subjects composed of 277 male and 291 female high school students' in Taejeon city and research was a between subject design. The data was analysed by factor analysis, ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range test. The major findings drawn from this study were as follows: 1. The perceivers impression were consisted of 4 major dimensions; evaluation, sociability, attractiveness, potency. 2. All the independent variables showed some significant impression effects on selected dimensions. Garment color indicate the most significant effects among the 4 independent variables and garment formality showed least effects. 3. The subjects of the study preferred suits(highest formality level garment) to semi-formal or casual outfits for male teacher's school outfits. In conclusion, 4 independent variables affected differently 4 major impression dimensions and garment formality and contexts showed significant interaction effect, this results supported the gestalt theory of impression formation.
Statement of problem : Accurate impression is essential to success of implant prostheses. But there have been few studies about the accuracy of fixture-level impression technique in internal connection implant system. Purpose: This study evaluated the accuracy of splinted fixture-level impression technique using clinical methods and the effect of internal hex on fit of superstructure in internal connection implant system (Astra Tech). Material and method : Two metal master frameworks made from two abutments (Cast-to Abutment ST) each for parallel and divergent conditions and a corresponding. passively fitting, dental stone master cast with four future replicas (Fixture Replica ST) were fabricated. Ten dental stone casts were made with vinyl polysiloxane impressions from the master cast by acrylic resin splinted fixture-level impression technique. To evaluate the accuracy of impression technique, the fit of master frameworks for test models was evaluated using screw resistance test (SRT) and one-screw test. The results of SRT were recorded as SRT values from grade 1 to grade 5 by 1/4 turn. And to evaluate the effect of hex on fit of superstructure, the same tests were performed after removing hexes of master frameworks. Results: 1. There was only one case (2.5%) showing SRT value of test model below ade 2 in total before and after removing hexes of master frameworks. And, by removing hexes. SRT values decreased in only one test model (5%) and did not change in 17 test models (85%). 2. SRT values of the 1$^{st}$ screws were grade 2 in 80% of cases before, and grade 1 in 80% of cases after removing hexes. And, by removing hexes, SRT values decreased in 72.5% of cases. 3. SRT values of the 2$^{nd}$ screws were grade 3 in 85% of cases before, and grade 3 in 95% of cases after removing hexes. And, by removing hexes, SRT values did not change in 85% of cases. 4. There were only 2 cases regarded as acceptable fit by one-screw test, and SRT values of 2$^{nd}$ screws of both cases were grade 2. Conclusion. Within the limitations of this study, future-level impression of internal connection implant system is considered to obtain inaccurate working cast, even using acrylic resin splinted impression technique. And, it is considered to be unable improve the fit to remove the hexes of implant restoration.

The purpose of the present study were 1) to identify the dimensional structure of impression formed of a female figure, 2) to analyze effects of several elements of apparel design on impression formation of the figure in suit. The experimental materials developed for this study were a set of stimuli and a response scale. The stimuli consisted of 60 drawings made by identical manipulations of 3 indepndent variables in 3 clothing styles(suit, dress and pants with blouse). The independent variables were (1) five clothing colors (red, blue, yellow, white and black), (2) two lengths(short/long) of suit skirt, dress, and pants (3) two types of blouse and dress collars (shirt collar/ribbon collar). The 7-point semantic differential response scale to measure the dependent variables (formed impressions of the female figure) was composed of 37 bipolar adjectives. Further- more, two open-ended questions were used for interpretation of the reponses. The study proceeded in three independent experimental part was based on the 3 clothing styles using a 5(color)$\times$2(length)$\times$2(collar) factorial design. Subject were 200 female undergraduate students reandomly assigned to one of 20 combinations in each part of the experiment. The data were analyzed by factor analysis, 3-way ANOVA and Multiple Classification Analysis. Five factors emerged to account for the dimensional structure of impression of the female figure in specific attire. These factors included three basic dimensions of impression identified as potency, activity and evaluation, confirming the results of previous studies. Result from open-ended questionaire supported the theoretical perspective of Schneider, Hastorf and Ellsworth on the procedure of impression formation.

The accuracy and dimensional stability of rubber impression materials are very important for the fitness of the final restoration. The purpose of this investigation was to evaluate the effects of the storage time and pouring frequency of the additional silicone materials on dimensional stability. Total 30 impressions were made of tooth prepared single crown. The dies had 1 buccolingual, 1 mesiodistal and 1 occlusogingival lines. Two additional silicone materials(examixfine, aquasil) were included. 15 specimens were made of each impression material and poured by type IV stone over times(1hour, 24hours, 72hours) after mixing. 5 impressions poured after 1 hour were used for second pouring after 24hours and third pouring after 72hours. The same examiner measured each specimen 3 times after lazer scanning. All statistical tests were performed with the level of significance set at 0.05. The results indicated that significant difference at any measuring point of stone dies except the buccolingual and mesiodistal lines of the specimen made at 1hour after mixing with examixfine when measurements at 1hour, 24hours and 72hours were campared. There were significant difference between two impression materials and at every measuring point of stone dies made at second and third pouring. The length of measuring point increased significantly as time passed by and increase of the pouring frequency. However, this results are clinically acceptable except the dies of the third pouring. Under the conditions of this study, the shrinkage rate of the additional silicone rubber impression materials significantly increased as time passed by and increase of the pouring frequency.
