  • The aim of this study was to test the different situational characteristics of family restaurant choice. Accordingly, this study measured the important factors influencing family restaurant choice between university student's situational characteristics. In this study, the important factors were food presentation-related, facility-related, food quality & value-related and service-related factors. The findings from this study were as follows. Results of analyzing the validity and the internal consistency of important factors showed that the convergent and discriminant validitys of important factors are supported, and cronbach's alpha showed that the internal consistency of important factors is supported. It was found that groups of different situational characteristics perceived that facility factor was significantly important factor influencing their family restaurant choice. It was found that the important factor was statistically significant with regard to the difference situational characteristics. Finally, the results of the study provide seine insights into the market-oriented types of foodservice marketing strategies or tactics to enable family restaurant to effectively manage and more competitive.

  • In this paper, we studied the purpose of this paper is like that; the first one is to find the factors associated with operational strategy by variable website types classified into information-providing type, product-providing type and service- providing type by user approach purposes. The second one is to propose the successful operational strategy through analyzing the factors affecting the financial and non-financial performance of websites. A framework of research model including above factors is developed and tested statistically. The data are collected from Internet website experts of 80 Korean firms through survey. The main results of this research are as follows. First, in information-providing websites, the community factor is regarded as the most important factor But for the Improvement of the performance, not only community factor but also user interface, customization, total quality and playfulness factors should be regarded as important factors equally. Second, in product-providing websites, customization, total quality and visual design factors are regarded as important factors. But for the improvement of the performance, community and visual design factors should be regarded as important factors. • The purpose of this study is to compare and derive the importance of motivating factors for start-up when deciding to start a business in the logistics and trading industries, and to compare, derive, and identify which motivating factors have an important influence on the start-up decision. In this study, 4 high-level factors such as career factors, policy/institutional factors, environmental factors, and economic factors and 12 low-level factors were derived from those four factors. Based on this, a questionnaire was distributed to established and prospective entrepreneurs, and the results were analyzed using the AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) technique. Manufacturing companies recognized the individual's capabilities and government support for them as important. Beside, service companies recognized the industrial environment that could generate economic benefits as important. Although there are differences in perception by group, it can be seen that factors that are recognized as important within each group have connectivity and show the same directivity.

  • This paper quantitatively presents the effects of important factors of the probabilistic safety assessment (PSA) of safety-critical digital systems. The result which is quantified using fault tree analysis methodology shows that these factors remarkably affect the system safety. In this paper we list the factors which should be represented by the model for PSA. Based on the PSA experience, we select three important factors which are expected to dominate the system unavailability. They are the avoidance of common cause failure, the coverage of fault tolerant mechanisms and software failure probability. We Quantitatively demonstrate the effect of these three factors. The broader usage of digital equipment in nuclear power plants gives rise to the safety problems. Even though conventional PSA methods are immature for applying to microprocessor-based digital systems, practical needs force us to apply it because the result of PSA plays an important role in proving the safety of a designed system. We expect the analysis result to provide valuable feedback to the designers of digital safety- critical systems.

This study investigates the factors driving labor productivity in Iran's Melli Bank. Research design, data, methodology - Five managerial, psychosocial, cultural, and individual factors are identified and their relative importance for labor productivity prioritized using AHP. The required data are then collected through a questionnaire designed for a pairwise comparison of the driving factors of labor productivity and their subcategories. Results - The study outcomes reveal that the managerial and individual factors are the most important. Specifically, the most important factors in increasing labor productivity in the branches of Melli Bank are having a competent supervisor, promotion opportunities, fair working conditions, conscientiousness, the right tools, and a correspondence between skills and work. Conclusions - Implementing AHP using Expert Choice software revealed that, among the driving factors of labor productivity (i.e., managerial, psychosocial, cultural, environmental, and personal), managerial factors were considered the most important by the respondents.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to determine the importance and priority arising from the relationship between MRO-office supplies franchisor ("franchisor") and franchisees through an in-depth investigation. In particular, with respect to the MRO-Office franchise industry, we would like to make meaningful contributions in the decision-making process by comparing and contrasting factors that affect the importance and priority of communication, conflict, support and satisfaction through AHP analysis. Research design, data, and methodology: After completion of AHP analysis, the study will also identify factors in order of priority and factors of importance between the franchisor and franchisees. Another purpose of this study is to evaluate and propose business relationship strategies between the franchisor and franchisees. Through AHP analysis, this study will facilitate the relationship between the franchisor and franchise, and determine the factors of importance and factors in order of priority. Result: This study evaluates the differences and priorities of the two groups arising from the relationship between the franchisor and the franchisees through AHP analysis after separately analyzing the franchisor. In this study, the franchisees find that communication is the most important factor, then support as the second most important factor between the two groups. In contrast, the franchisor finds that support is the most important factor followed by communication between the two groups. Conclusions: This analysis demonstrates the discrepancy in evaluating important factors from the perspectives of the franchisor and the franchisees. The largest discrepancy between the franchisor and franchisees comes from an information system related to communication factors. This effectively means that the franchisor has an understanding of this inadequate information system on the part of franchisees but this understanding is not deemed an important factor. The franchisees recognize and focus on the need to obtain feedback from the franchisor regarding management improvement as the most important factor rather than the ability of the franchisor to guide them through the franchisees' operations. To this end, the franchisor should be more flexible in dealing with the problem of improving the work required by the franchisees. For this study, a survey was conducted on employees of MRO-office supplies franchisor, franchisees, and employees and completed based on AHP analysis.
