This paper describes the instructional flexible manufacturing system(FMS) laboratory facility at Virginia Polytechnic Institute(VPI) which is directed at problems and issues in the design, implementation and control of computer integrated manufacturing systems. It begins with a configuration and an operational description of FMS laboratory facilities. Next, relevant curricula in manufacturing systems design and control, which can use the FMS laboratory for instructional purpose, are introduced, A computer simulation can be used as an excellent tool for analysis prior to implementation of FMS as well as an on-going improvement tool. A brief survey of simulation languages is lastly included.

최근 SNS가 급속히 성장하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 불특정 다수가 아닌 한 명을 대상으로 하는 안드로이드 기반 SNS 어플리케이션을 제안한다. 제안한 폐쇄형 SNS는 상대방 번호를 입력해 단 한명만 지정할 수 있는 어플리케이션이다. D-day기능을 이용한 기념일 관리와 사진 공유 관리가 가능하며 Wish List를 통해 상대방의 관심사도 알 수 있는 등 다양한 커뮤니케이션이 가능하다.

This paper addresses a performance evaluation model for ERP system's implementation using Analytic Network Process (ANP) technique. In this study, the performance variables are identified as the perspectives of cost, business process, systems operation, and change management, respectively. The empirical study also investigated factors that affect the performance variables to find out the causal relationship between them using the ANP approach. The data for the empirical analysis were collected from manufacturing companies that have implemented ERP systems. The research findings indicate the proposed model is powerful in proposing that the indirect relationship between influencing factors and managerial effectiveness, mediated by employee satisfaction, is an important one.

Six Sigma is a proven management philosophy that can be employed to improve productivity dramatically in various fields of industries. However some companies where Six Sigma is adopted confront stagnancy due to many kinds of causes of impediment. In this paper, the causes of stagnancy in the diverse stages of Six Sigma implementation are studied. Moreover in this paper results of such causes are also discussed.

An implementation of robust stereo matching algorithm under variable illumination conditions is presented in this paper. By applying window-based matchingmethod to global stereo matching algorthm using belief propagation, our implemented system shows low error rate and could efficiently cope with general radiometric disimilarities between images acquired from two different point of views.

This thesis presents a parallel implementation of an iterative method for large scale, sparse linear system and gives result of computational experiments performed on both single transputer and multi transputer parallel computers. To solve linear system, we use conjugate gradient method and develope data storage techinique, data communication scheme. In addition to the explanation of conjugate gradient method, the result of computational experiment is summarized.

We have recognized that an organization should be viewed from a multifaceted perspective necessitating a sophisticated analytical and systematic approach to monitor and improve organizational performance. Although some performance measurement systems have been proposed and are currently being used in many organizations, no performance measurement system has presented a mechanism for integrating all of the information of performance measures in a way that considers relationships between them. This paper introduces the implementation of the performance information integration method(PIIM) which synthesizes all useful information of performance measures with consideration of the relationship and generates a single, global, organizational performance score. The PIIM was empirically validated by implementing in one of missouri Veterans Homes.

In this paper, we analyze the relationship between implementation of information technology and inventory turnover as a measure of operational efficiency. We build a regression model including a dummy variable that indicates whether a firm has been nominated for being good at implementing information technology. By using publicly available data, we have conducted an extensive empirical analysis and found that firms' using information technology is not likely to affect inventory turnover significantly. This result implies that we have to take careful consideration in adapting information technology.

A Branch-and-Cut algorithm is a branch-and-bound algorithm in which rutting planes are generated throughout the branch-and-bound tree. It is now one of the most widespread and successful methods for solving mixed integer programming problems. In this paper we presents efficient implementation techniques of branch-and-cut algorithm for miked integer programming problems.
