  • In this paper, we implement that hollow type joint using two more than general motor and design for compact structure embedded electronic parts in the development of 7 degree of freedom manipulator. We propose a method to overcome risk and the limit of operating radius which are point out as a limit of previous industrial robot. and also propose to more efficient and stable manipulator implement method.

  • Disc harrow-type composite working implements of tractors are able to work almost 15km/hr. Soil reversing and plowing of agricultural fields are thereby faster than the existing rotavator speed of 2.5 km/h. In Korea, its supply process is being delayed because of the traditional tillage method of rotavator plowing operations. To develop products suitable for the domestic environment, an analysis and inspection was performed on the products of advanced specifications. 3D modeling was performed on main parts and frames using 3D scanner.

  • Recursive formulas have been effective in solving the equations of motion for large scale constratined mechanical sys-tems. However, derivation of the formulas has been limited to individual terms in the equations of motion, such as veloci-ty, acceleration. and generalized forces. The recursive formulas are generalized in this paper. The velocity transformation method is employed to transform the equations of motion from Cartesian to the joint spaces. Computational structure of the equations of motion in the joint space is carefully examined to classify all necessary computational operations into sev-eral categories. The generalized recursive formula for each category is then developed and applied whenever such a cate-gory of computation is encountered. Since the velocity transformation method yields the equations of motion in a compact form and computational efficiency is achieved by generalized recursive formulas, the proposed method is not only easy to implement but is also efficient. A library of generalized recursive formulas is developed to implement a dynamic analysis algorithm using backward difference.

Roles and Tasks of Nurses Caring People with Dementia (치매 환자를 돌보는 간호사의 역할과 업무)

  • Purpose: The research aims to identify the roles of nurses at dementia clinics or geriatric hospitals to set their tasks. Methods: This research has been conducted through literature review and focus group methodology. The field survey has been done for 195 nurses at 36 hospitals for the aged and dementia clinics from Oct. 9 to Oct. 28, 2006. Results: The nurses were identified to play eight roles as clinical specialists, educators, researchers, counselors, consultants, collaborators, leaders, managers, and advocators. They were also known to implement 27 nursing tasks and 104 nursing activities. Conclusion: The findings of this research could provide a foundation for the nursing care work as well as become a practice guideline for the nurses, at these hospitals, to implement versatile roles and tasks.

  • Nowadays, the intelligent education system has been studied using the self-directed learning ability. It can connect to the online virtual university and it is based on web technology that can be accessed anywhere anyplace. In order to implement the intelligent tutoring system, the student's weak and strong subjects must be first determined in real time, it proposed level learning capabilities and security algorithms in this paper. Moreover, in this paper, to implement the intelligent education tutoring system it proposed qr code and student level learning simulation.

  • This paper presents a design of the real-time preprocessor for CMOS image sensor suitable to the digital camera applications. CMOS image sensor offers some advantages in on-chip integration, system power reduction, and low cost. However, it has a lower-quality image than CCDs. We describe an image enhancement algorithm, which includes color interpolation, color correction, gamma correction, sharpening, and automatic exposure control, to compensate for this disadvantage, and present its efficient hardware architecture to implement on the real-time processor. The presented real-time preprocessor was designed using VHDL, and it contains about 19.2K logic gates. We also implement our system on FPGA chips in order to provide the real-time adjustment and it was successfully tested.

A Comparative Study on Methods for Implementing VHDL Design Database (VHDL 설계 데이터베이스 구현 방법의 비교 연구)

  • In this paper, we compare several methods for implementing a VHDL design database through a case study on VHDL tool development system. We implemented three versions of the VHDL design database which the VHDL tool development system is based on. The first version was coded in the C programming language following value-oriented paradigm. The second one was coded in the C++ programming language following object-oriented paradigm. The third one was implemented using an existing object-oriented database. Based on our experience, we present quantitatively the pros and cons of each implementation method. The value-oriented version was most difficult to implement but showed good performance. Compared to the value- oriented version, the C++ version was twice as easy to implement and showed about the same performance. Using an existing object-oriented database allowed easiest implementation but resulted in a 1.5 to 6 times slower version.

  • In this paper we wanted to implement a reliable ISDN PABX that could maintain the user's voice and data communication services, even when there might be an unexpected system error. In order to implement the fault-tolerance we made this ISDN PABX composed of an active and a standby side by duplicating the main control parts. Whenever a critical error occurs in the active side, it makes side exchange so that the standby side as anew active side continues to proceed the currently active voice or data services. Finally, through the performance evaluation we proved that user's voice or data communication can be serviced without any sense in spite of an system error.

  • As flash technology is a widely used in Web pages, it tends to load a S/W flash player in mobile phones and PDAs to play flash contents on diverse H/W platforms currently. In this paper, we design and implement a linux-based standalone flash player which can be used in various fields like animation, game and advertizing. We also implement an web-based manager which user can effectively manage flash players anywhere.
