충돌과냉수분류(衝突過冷水噴流)의 비등열전달(沸騰熱傳達)에 관한 연구(硏究) (A Study on Boiling Heat Transfer in a Impinging Subcooled Water Jet System)

  • This paper describes the boiling heat transfer phenomena to be divided into three regions, nonboiling, nucleate boiling and burn-out in the impinging subcooled water jet system. In the nonboiling region, Nusselt number is a function of Prandtl number, Reynolds number and ${\Delta}T_{sub}/T_{ast}$ In the nucleate boiling region, the heat flux increases with increment of the nozzle exit velocity. But the degree of liquid subcooling does not affect the shape of the nucleate boilng curve. The dimensionless correlations can be expressed in the form of $q{\ell}/K_f{\Delta}T_{ast}=C(Bo{\cdot}C_p{\cdot}{\Delta}T_{sat}/Vo^2)^m{\cdot}(Re/We)^n$. The burn-out heat flux increases linearly with increment of the nozzle exit velocity, but independs of degree of subcooling and the supplementary water height.

Wide Flame 버너의 연소 특성 (Combustion Characteristics of Wide Flame Burner)

  • Flame pattern in burner used in steel industry that constitutes 30% of country energy consumption is generally characterized as long narrow flame pattern so that localized heating causes product quality worse and many burners are needed for proper heating. This paper deals with flat wide flame pattern which has advantage in terms of uniform heating using less number of burners. For that purpose, impinging jet system of fuel and oxidant was used for making flat wide flame. Results show that nozzle angle $75^{\circ}$ of impinging jet is found to be optimum configuration for making effective wide flame which has uniform radiation heat transfer and flame temperature is also most uniform along the flame width for that nozzle angle.

미세제트 유동의 Stereoscopic micro-PIV측정 (Stereoscopic micro-PIV measurements of jet flow)

  • Micro-PIV(particle image velocimetry) has been widely used to measure the velocity of micro flow. Although this micro-PIV method can give accurate 2D instantaneous velocity information of mea-surement plane, it cannot resolve the out of plane component of velocity vectors. Lots of the micro fluidic devices generate three-dimensional flow and 3D measurement of velocity is useful to understand the physics of micro flow phenomena. In this study, we constructed stereoscopic micro-PIV(SMPIV) system and applied this method to the impinging micro jet flow. The results show that this method can produce accu-rate 3D reconstruction of micro jet flow.

  • The purpose of this study is augmentation of heat transfer without additional power in a rectangular impinging air jet. As a method of passive heat transfer augmentation in a two-dimensional air jet, heat transfer surface of flat plate with rods is used. This study, particularly in the wall jet rigeon, investigates the effect of the clearance between the flat plate and rod. Mechanism of heat transfer enhancement is investigated by measuring the local heat transfer coefficient. It is concluded that the superposition of the effects of flow accelerlation through the clearance between the flat plate and the rod, and reattachment of the flow was the cause of the excellent performance. The overall heat transfer rate of flat plate with rods is about 1.5 times larger than that of flat plate without rods.

  • A new GA-3D-PTV technique has been constructed to measure an impinging jet. The measurement system consists of three CCD cameras, Ar-ion laser, an image grabber and a host computer. GA (Genetic Algorithm) was used based on one-to-one correspondences in order to take advantage of the combinatorial optimization in tracking the pairs of the whole particles of the two images having a time interval. Two fitness functions were introduced in order to enhance the correspondences of the particles. One was based on a concept of the continuum theory and the other one was based on a minimum distance error. The constructed GA-3D-PTV system was applied in success to the measurement of flow characteristics of the impinging jet.

  • The local heat/mass transfer coefficients for arrays of impinging circular air jets on a plane surface are determined by means of the naphthalene sublimation method. Spent fluid makes a crossflow in the confined space. The crossflow reduces heat/mass transfer at the small gap distance between the jet plate and impingement surface because of reentrainment of the spent fluid. The present study suggests a new exhaust system having effusion holes in the impinging jet plate. The spent air flow out after impingement just through effusion holes located in the upper plate. This system increases heat/mass transfer coefficients and uniformity for small gap distances$(H/d{\leq}2)$

충돌분류계에서 사다리형로드에 의한 열전달증진 효과 (Heat Transfer Enhancement by Trapezoid Rods in Impinging Jet System)

  • 본 연구는 2차원 충돌공기분류시스템에서 벽면분류영역의 열전달증진을 목적으로 충돌판 앞에 사다리형 로드를 설치하고 로드 사이의 피치, 노즐출구와 충돌판 사이의 거리 및 로드와 전열면 사이의 간극을 변화시키면서 이때의 열전달특성을 실험적으로 규명하였다. 실험결과 로드를 설치하지 않은 평판의 경우에서는 정체점 이후 열전달성능이 계속 감소하지만, 로드를 설치할 경우에는 로드에 의한 난류발생, 로드측면에서의 와류생성 및 로드밑에서의 가속화 등에 의해 정체점보다 높은 열전달분포를 얻을 수 있었다. 로드의 피치를 변화시킨 경우, P=30 mm인 경우가 로드 직전에서의 와류 및 로드 바로 밑의 가속효과를 가장 크게 받으며 C=1 mm, H/B=2인 조건에서 로드를 설치하지 않은 평판에 비해 평균 62%정도의 열 전달증진 효과가 있었다.

과도액정 기법을 이용한 오목표면 경사각도에 따른 난류 충돌 제트의 열전달 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Heat Transfer Characteristics of Turbulent Round Jet Impinge on the Inclined Concave Surface Using Transient Liquid Crystal Method)

  • The effects of concave hemispherical surface with inclined angle on the local heat transfer from a turbulent round jet impinging were experimentally investigated using transient liquid crystal method. This method suddenly exposes a preheated wall to an impinging jet and then the video system records the response of liquid crystals for the measurement of the surface temperature. The Reynolds numbers were used 11000, 23000 and 50000, nozzle-to-surface distance ratio from 2 to 10 and the surface angles $\alpha=0^{\circ},\;15^{\circ},\;30^{\circ}\;and\;40^{\circ}$. Correlations of the stagnation point Nusselt number according to Reynolds number, jet-to-surface distance ratio and dimensionless surface angle are investigated. In the stagnation point, in term of $Re^n$, n ranges from 0.43 in case of $2{\leq}L/d\leq6$ to 0.45 in case of $6. The maximum Nusselt number occurs in the direction of upstream. The displacement of the maximum Nusselt number from the stagnation point increases with increasing surface angle or decreasing nozzle-to-surface distance. The maximum displacement is about 0.7 times of the jet nozzle diameter.

  • 제트 편향기 설계를 위한 기초 자료로 활용하기 위해 꼭지각 $60^{\cire}$인 쐐기에 충돌하는 초음속 제트에 대해 연구하였다. 초음속 제트가 쐐기에 충돌할 때 발생되는 주요 특징은 충격파 간섭과 유동의 박리현상이다. 초음속 유동장치를 이용하여 유동가시화, 표면압력분포, 등압력분포를 측정하고 실험결과와의 비교 및 검증을 위해 유동해석을 하였다 주요변수로는 과소팽창비, 노즐출구에서 꼭지점까지 거리, 설계마하수를 고려하였다. 쐐기 충격파가 이격 또는 부착되는 조건을 확인하였으며 유동장에 지배적 영향을 끼치는 인자는 자유제트의 강도, 쐐기 충격파와 배럴 충격파의 간섭에 의해 형성되는 충격파 패턴임을 알 수 있었다.

충돌제트 천이영역에서 로드에 의한 열전달특성 (Heat Transfer Characteristics by Rods in Transition Region of Impinging Air Jet)

  • 본 논문은 2차원 충돌제트 시스템에서 충돌판이 천이영역에 위치할때, 열전달성능이 감소하는 벽면분류영역의 열전달증진을 목적으로 난류촉진체인 정 4각 로드를 평판전열면 앞에 설치하고 로드와 로드사이의 피치(P)를 40 mm로 고정한 후 로드의 폭(W) 변화(4, 6, 8 mm) 및 로드와 전열면사이의 간극(C) 변화(1, 2, 4, 6 mm)에 따른 유동특성과 열전달특성에 대해 실험을 수행하고, 그 결과를 수치해석과 비교 검토하였다. 또한 로드가 설치되지 않은 경우와 정량적으로 비교하여 충돌제트 시스템에서 난류촉진체를 이용한 열전달증진에 관한 기초적 자료를 제공하고자 한다.
