This paper presents an experimental study exploring impact resistant properties of Kagome truss reinforced composite panels. Three types of panels with different materials and reinforcements, i.e., ultra-high-performance mortar, steel fiber, and Kagome truss, were designed and manufactured. High-velocity projectile impact tests were performed to investigate the impact response of panels with dimensions of 200 mm×200 mm×40 mm. The projectile used in the testing was a steel slug with a hemispherical front; the impact energy was 1 557 J. Test results showed that the Kagome truss reinforcement was effective at improving the impact resistance of panels in terms of failure patterns, damaged area, and mass loss. Synergy effects of a combination of Kagome truss and fiber reinforcements for the improvement of impact resistance capacity of ultra-high-performance mortar were also observed.
In order to clarify the impact of emissions reductions on the air quality over Metropolitan area of Korean Peninsula, several numerical experiment and analysis of integrated process rate(IPR) of ozone were carried out. Numerical models used in this study are WRF for the estimate the meteorological elements and CMAQ for assessment of ozone concentration. As result in the sensitive test of VOC/NOx reduction experiments, although VOC reduction tends to induce the different impact on the advection and photochemical reaction rate of ozone in urban area and rural area, the mechanism of ozone appeared to be more sensitive to the reduction of VOC than that of NOx over the metropolitan and its surround area. So the control of VOC emission inventories is an effective means to decrease the ozone concentrations around this area.

In the present study, the water impact loads on two-dimensional symmetric and asymmetric wedges were mainly studied. The impact pressure and force were measured during a vertical drop of the symmetric and asymmetric wedges. The measured pressure was compared with analytic solutions. The measured force at a local area of the wedge was compared with the integrated pressures and analytic solutions. Some findings on symmetric and asymmetrical wedge drops are presented, and the reliability of the force sensor used for the measurement of the local impact force is discussed.
Cumulative effects can be defined as impacts on environment which results from incremental impacts of a proposed project, which covers other past, present, and reasonably foreseeable future actions. The necessity of Cumulative Effect Assessment is that, when there are several projects near the project area, environmental effects of individual project can be larger or smaller than those of individual project without having projects nearby because of synergy, ascending and descending effects. This study was intended to help Environmental Impact Assessment practitioners identify spatial and temporal boundaries during the scoping stage. To do this, literature review of domestic and foreign legislations, guidelines, textbooks and papers related to Environmental Impact Assessment and Cumulative Effect Assessment was accomplished. This study suggests that continuous research be needed in order to identify spatial boundaries for other assessment fields and to develop methodologies for cumulative effect assessment.

This study examines the effect of smartphone to adolescent's mental health and defines moderating effect of parent-child relationship. For this purpose, 278 subjects were surveyed from 1 middle schools in Gwangju and Jeonnam area. The result of this study are as follows. First, when verifying the impact of smartphone addiction on their mental health, The smartphone addiction was found as the key variable that has a negative impact on mental health. The results indicated that adolescents with higher levels of smartphone addiction more likely to have lower levels of mental health. Second, impact of parent-child relationship on their mental health was analyzed. The analytic results suggest that parent-child relationship has a impact on their mental health. In other words, higher parent-child relationship means higher mental health. Third, the moderating effect of parent-child relationship was analyzed. The parent-child relationship check the moderating effect of do smartphone addiction on their mental health. The implications for social work practice were also discussed.
In summer and early autumn, eutrophication occurs occasionally in many reservoirs. Lakeside macrophyte which is one of internal pollutants effects on water quality when it is submerged during water surface is rising after rainy season. This study include examination of pollutant load, species of plant, community structure and productivity of macrophyte in unit area at lakeside. The result of this research will be used as a guideline of water quality management on reservoir through assessing water quality effect of submerged plant. The areal distribution, composition of species and submerged area of macrophyte changes according to rainfall pattern every year, so it is difficult to calculate nutrient load annually from submerged macrophyte. In this study, the nutrient load from submerged macrophyte assess from Daecheong and Juam reservoir in 2001. TN and TP load of submerged macrophyte shows 0.043% and 0.069%, respectively, of annual discharge load on Daecheong watershed. At lake Juam, TN and TP shows 0.64% and 1.28% load, respectively. The reason that nutrient load of lake Juam is greater than that of lake Daecheong is that macrophyte distribution area of lake Juam is 5 times greater than that of lake Daecheong. Total nutrient load of lake Daecheong is 3 times greater than that of lake Juam.

The cosmetic fine powders were mixed with variation of mixing time(5) in the mixers (ribbon mixer, powder mixer, micropulverizer and fine impact mill). The powders were nixed with small amount of ferric oxide. as tracer. The mixed powders ere measured the particle size distribution, specific surface area and surface color with mixing time (s). The color variation, particle size distribution and specific surface area of the mixed powder exist a relationship with mining time(s) that can be expressed as mathematical equations to show the degree of the mixing of the powder mixture. The linear velocity of the impellar tip is the main factor contributing to he mixing efficiency of the mixers un this study. According to the linear velocity, he mixers used are devieded as convection mixing (ribbon mixer), sclera mixing powder mixer) and diffusion mixing (micropulverizer/fine impact mill).

This study aims to examine whether Marine sand mining business is Maritime Traffic Safety Audit and priority between Maritime Traffic Safety Audit and Sea Area Utilization Impact Assessment because development and action to use in the ocean is ambiguous, it is overlapped with system of environmental aspect, and priority is not designated. Therefore, the way to improve to settle the overlapping problem etc. between Maritime traffic Safety Audit and Sea Area Utilization Impact Assessment was suggested and legal ground for sand mining is suggested. Because management department for Maritime Safety Act and Marine Environment Management Act is Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, the solution for this is both embodying co-experts on each committee for determinant of system with maintaining contact and radical revise of law. If revised, the possibility of accident in ocean is decreased, and it can be a way to protect marine environment.
The purpose of this study is to analyze water cycle area ratio and spatial evaluation of water cycle in urban area of Changwon-si, Gyeongsangnam-do. Water cycle area ratio are analyzed by using spatial data of land-cover and land-use, and Hot spot analysis of GIS program was used for spatial evaluation of water cycle. The results are as below. Firstly, the high water cycle area ratio areas were forests, parks, and rivers, but urban areas covered asphalt and concrete were low under 40%. Public institutions and co-residential of urban areas were higher than others because of high area ratio of pervious land-cover. Spatial evaluation of water cycle was analyzed to vulnerable areas there are dense residential and commercial area. These areas are really occurring frequently flooding and immersion, therefore, is required water management facilities and improvement of land-cover from impervious to pervious. In the future, it will require additionally analysis of water cycle area ratio supplemented data of water management facility and ground water.
Health Impact Assessment based on municipal law is performed and written in the sanitary and public health part in the current environmental impact assessment. Residential development projects such as housing site development etc., are not subject to health impact assessment under Article 13 of the Environmental Health Act. However, health impact assessment is conducted partially based on the review that health impact assessment targets which are identified among substances emitted from pollutants nearby industrial complexes should be assessed risk (including carcinogenic and non-carcinogenic) at the stage of the environmental impact assessment consultation. Although residential development projects do not have plans for pollutant emitting facilities that emit hazardous air pollutants, there is a possibility that residents might be affected by pollutants from industrial complex near residential area in the future. In this study, Health impact assessment was conducted to examine the impact on residents in planned areas by analyzing previous residential development projects. We predicted future impact by using the literature survey results on surrounding area (case1) and conducting contribution analysis (case2) and predicting exposure concentration of carcinogenic substances applying Atmospheric Diffusion Model (AERMOD). By this study, we concluded that applying on-site survey, contribution analysis and prediction of exposure concentration by using AERMOD complementarily will be effective to assess the health impact to the receptors by pollutants from industrial complexes near the planned zone.
