  • As the cargo tank size and configuration of Liquefied Natural Gas carriers(LNGC) grows in response to the global increase in demands for LNG and the necessities of its economical transportation, impact loading from sloshing may become one of the most important factors in the structural safety of LNG Cargo Containment Systems(CCS). The objective of this study is to demonstrate the procedure of the structural safety assessment of MARK III membrane type CCS under sloshing impact loading using local zooming analysis technique of LS-DYNA code.

  • In this study, for a safety assessment of wheelchair occupant in frontal and side impact of wheelchair loaded vehicle, a sled impact test was perfumed. Each test was carried out total 6 times, by using Hybrid III 50th-percentile male dummy in light weight and electric wheelchair. We estimate MC(Motion Criteria), CIC(Combined Injury Criteria), HIC(Head Injury Criteria), HNIC(Head and Neck Injury Criteria) based on measured data. Through this study, we make an assessment of risk analysis of wheelchair occupant and wheelchair. Through this study, safety standard of wheelchair is to be evaluated.

Impact of Social Networks Safety on Marketing Information Quality in the COVID-19 Pandemic in Saudi Arabia

  • The study aimed to investigate the impact of social networks safety (SNS) on the marketing information quality (MIQ) during the COVID-19 pandemic in Saudi Arabia. The study examines the statistical differences in social networks safety SNS and marketing information quality MIQ according to the demographics such as age, sex, income, and education. For this study purpose, information security and privacy are two components of social networks safety. The research materials are website resources, regular books, journals, and articles. The population includes all Saudi users of social networks. The figures show that active users of the social network reached 25 Million in 2020. The snowball method was used and sample size is 500 respondents and the questionnaire is the tool for the data collection. The Structural Equation Modelling SEM technique is used. Convergent Validity, Discriminate Validity, and Multicollinearity are the main assumptions of structural equation modeling SEM. The findings show the high positive impact of SNS networks safety on MIQ and the statistical differences in such variables refer to education. Finally, the study presents a set of future suggestions to enhance the safety of social networks in Saudi Arabia.

산업보건 위험성평가가 사업장의 안전보건수준과 근로자 안전행동에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Occupational Health Risk Assessment on Workplace Safety and Health Levels and Worker's Safety Behaviors)

  • This study analyzes the impact of occupational health risk assessments on the safety and health levels and the safety behaviors of workers in manufacturing workplaces. An online survey was conducted among 3,172 companies, yielding 637 responses. The statistical analysis on the collected responses revealed three key findings. First, the safety and health levels (safety importance, safety comprehension, safety awareness) positively influence the outcomes of occupational health risk assessments(safety practice, safety management, safety improvement) and safety behaviors (activity change, safety check). Second, the effectiveness of occupational health risk assessments has a positive impact on safety behaviors. Lastly, the effectiveness of occupational health risk assessments partially mediate the relationship between safety and health levels and safety behaviors. These findings are expected to contribute to the promotion of risk assessments in the field of industrial health and to enhancing safety performance by improving workplace safety, health levels, and safety behavior.

  • 본 논문에서는 비행안전통제실, 비행정보전시시스템 및 비행안전통제원의 임무 및 훈련을 순차적으로 기술하고 KSLV-I 3차 비행중 실시간으로 처리된 데이터 및 분석 결과를 제시하였다. 3차 비행시험의 비행안전통제실 운용에서, KSLV-I 비행 상황 감시가 정상적으로 이루어졌으며 순간낙하점 계산을 포함한 비행안전 알고리듬 계산도 정상적으로 수행되었다.

후방 충돌 펄스와 NCAP 펄스 차이로 인한 목상해 특성 비교 (Compare Characteristics of Neck Injuries between Rear Impact Pulse and NCAP Pulse)

  • The whiplash is the most important issue of low speed rear-impact. So auto makers are committed to developing a seat to improve whiplash injury. Most NCAP tests have been used by same pulse (Mid Velocity 16kph). Only Euro NCAP uses different pulse that consists of Low, Mid, High velocity. But Euro NCAP also uses same pulse in Mid velocity as other NCAP test. That Mid velocity NCAP pulse was made by rear impact that has 90's vehicle structure properties. That pulse was used until now days. However these days, auto maker use more high tensile steel than 90's as customer and society demand more fuel efficiency and light vehicle with good safety structure. So modern vehicles have different pulse patterns of rear impact than NCAP pulse and 90's vehicle crash properties. In this paper, the test was conducted by following condition. Target car was impacted by the rigid barrier with certain velocity. Finally target vehicle gained delta V 16kph which was same velocity as NCAP Mid Velocity pulse. It is critical velocity which occur long period neck injury. It is very different pulse that was gained by real car impact from NCAP pulse. And it has higher peak G with high fluctuation and short duration than NCAP pulse.

고압가스배관의 기계적 충격(타공사)에 대한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Mechanical Impact (Third Party Damage) of High Pressure Gas Pipe)

  • 가스배관 사고의 대표적인 원인 중 하나는 기계적 충격(타공사 등)으로 인한 사고이다. 이는 국내 주요 산업단지에 매설되어 있는 고압가스배관의 대다수가 매설 시기가 20년 이상인 노후 배관이기 때문에 사고 발생 시 별도의 검사 및 보강 시간 없이 대형 사고로 이어질 가능성이 높다. 본 연구에서는 타공사(굴착공사) 실험을 통해 기계적 충격 시 배관에 미치는 결함 정도에 대해 연구하였다. 실제 산업단지에서 굴착공사 시 사용되고 있는 21 ton 굴착기와 ASTM A106 Grade.B와 ASTM A53 Grade.B 배관을 이용해 타격실험을 진행하였다. 그 결과 굴착기 작업에 이용되는 버켓 중 톱니 버켓 일 때 결함의 정도가 더 컷으며, 매설되어 있는 배관의 관경이 작을수록 결함의 깊이 및 길이가 큰 것을 확인하였다. 굴착기 작업 중 타격 높이는 매설 배관의 결함에 아무런 영향을 미치지 않는 것을 확인하였다.

  • Previous study showed that delamination region in concrete structures can be successfully visualized using mode shapes of delaminated concrete section. However, modal tests for this purpose to obtain mode shapes of the delaminated concrete section may not be applicable in practice since, to correctly obtain the mode shapes of the section, the location and the shape of the delamination region in a structure should be known in advance. Unfortunately those are normally unknown in a real structure. Therefore, a moving forward test method may be useful to obtain the mode shapes of the concrete section when the location and the shape of the delamination region are not known. In this study, impact-echo testing based mode shape estimation technique is proposed and experimentally validated for visualization of delamination region.

  • Loose Par Monitoring System(LPMS) is one of the fundamental diagnostic tools installed in the nuclear power plants. In this paper, recovery process algorithm and model for the corrupted impact signal generated by loose parts is presented. The characteristics of this algorithm can obtain a proper burst signal even though background noise is considerably high level comparing with actual impact signal. To verify performance of the proposed algorithm, we evaluate mathematically signal-to-noise ratio of primary output and noise. The performance of this recovery process algorithm is shown through computer simulation.

충돌안전성에 미치는 블랭크형상의 영향 (Effect of Blank Shapes on the Impact Safety of Stamped Parts)

  • The effects of blank shape on the safety of stamped parts are studied through the comparison of an optimal blank and the corresponding reference blank shape to show further advantage of the optimal blank. In order to carry out this study, stamping process has been analyzed and the forming history, e.g. accumulated effective strain and thickness has been incorporated in the crash analysis. The reference blank has been determined following to the actual industry guideline, and excessive material to the desired shape has been trimmed off before crash analysis for the objective comparison. Through the study, appreciable increase of impact safety has not been observed and the effective of blank shape is verified not to be significant.
