  • This paper addresses the resource allocation (RA) problem in multi-cell cognitive radio networks. Besides the interference power threshold to limit the interference on primary users PUs caused by cognitive users CUs, a proportional fairness constraint is used to guarantee fairness among multiple cognitive cells and the impact of imperfect spectrum sensing is taken into account. Additional constraints in typical real communication scenarios are also considered-such as a transmission power constraint of the cognitive base stations, unique subcarrier allocation to at most one CU, and others. The resulting RA problem belongs to the class of NP-hard problems. A computationally efficient optimal algorithm cannot therefore be found. Consequently, we propose a suboptimal RA algorithm composed of two modules: a subcarrier allocation module implemented by the immune algorithm, and a power control module using an improved sub-gradient method. To further enhance algorithm performance, these two modules are executed successively, and the sequence is repeated twice. We conduct extensive simulation experiments, which demonstrate that our proposed algorithm outperforms existing algorithms.

  • Routing in mobile wireless sensor networks (MWSNs) is an extremely challenging issue due to the features of MWSNs. In this paper, we present a novel bio-inspired trusted routing protocol (B-iTRP) based on artificial immune system (AIS), ant colony optimization (ACO) and Physarum optimization (PO). For trust mechanism, B-iTRP monitors neighbors' behavior in real time and then assesses neighbors' trusts based on AIS. For routing strategy, each node proactively finds routes to the Sink based on ACO. When a backward ant is on the way to return source, it senses the energy residual and trust value of each node on the discovered route, and calculates the link trust and link energy of the route. Moreover, B-iTRP also assesses the availability of route based on PO to maintain the route table. Simulation results show how B-iTRP can achieve the effective performance compared to existing state-of-the-art algorithms.

  • According as many people use a computer newly, damage of computer virus and hacking is rapidly increasing by the crucial users. A computer virus is one of program in computer and has abilities of self reproduction and destruction like a virus of biology. And hacking is to rob a person's data in a intruded computer and to delete data in a Person s computer from the outside. To block hacking that is intrusion of a person's computer and the computer virus that destroys data, a study for intrusion detection of system and virus detection using a biological immune system is in progress. In this paper, we make a model of positive and negative selection for self recognition which have a similar function like T-cytotoxic cell that plays an important role in biological immune system. We embody a self-nonself distinction algorithm in computer, which is an important part when we detect an infected data by computer virus and a modified data by intrusion from the outside. And we showed the validity and effectiveness of the proposed self recognition algorithm by computer simulation about various infected data obtained from the cell change and string change in the self file.

  • It is well known that the encrypted ranging signal, such as GPS P(Y) code, is immune to spoofing attack. However, in order for users to use the signal, there needs permission from the operator. And also there are many restrictions for use because of security issues. In this paper, a ground reference station equipped with high-gain directional antenna and a user receiver were simulated. In the reference station, the encrypted code can be demodulated from the high-gain signal. And then the code can be used to detect spoofing attack in the user receiver. This paper proposes the spoofing detection method using the encrypted signal and deals with simulation results.

  • The fault-tolerance routing problem is one of the most important issues in the application of the Internet of Things, and has been attracting growing research interests. In order to maintain the communication paths from source sensors to the macronodes, we present a hybrid routing scheme and model, in which alternate paths are created once the previous routing is broken. Then, we propose an improved efficient and intelligent fault-tolerance algorithm (IEIFTA) to provide the fast routing recovery and reconstruct the network topology for path failure in the Internet of Things. In the IEIFTA, mutation direction of the particle is determined by multi-swarm evolution equation, and its diversity is improved by the immune mechanism, which can improve the ability of global search and improve the converging rate of the algorithm. The simulation results indicate that the IEIFTA-based fault-tolerance algorithm outperforms the EARQ algorithm and the SPSOA algorithm due to its ability of fast routing recovery mechanism and prolonging the lifetime of the Internet of Things.

  • This paper proposes a new immunotronic approach for the fault detection in hardware. The suggested method is, inspired by biology and its implementation is based on genetic algorithm. Tolerance conditions in the immunotronic system for fault detection correspond to the antibodies in the biological immune system. A novel algorithm of generating tolerance conditions is suggested based on the principle of the antibody diversity and GA optimization is employed to select mature tolerance conditions in immunotronic fault detection system. The suggested method is applied to the fault detection for MCNC benchmark FSMs (finite state machines) and its effectiveness is demonstrated by the computer simulation.

  • This paper presents the dynamic excitation control of a siphon-turbine coupled pico-hydro powered cage rotor induction generator and load matching for off-grid electricity generation. Through the proposed dual-role of the current-controlled voltage source converter (VSC), acting as static synchronous compensator and load controller, real and reactive power are dynamically controlled in a decoupled manner with a self supported DC-bus. The proposed scheme entails minimal computation for ensuring the rated (set) capacity of real power. The scheme also exhibits fault immunity for protection, thus enabling the effective handling of constant power electrical loads presented by base telecom station towers in remote locations. The performance of the system is evaluated under MATLAB/Simulink and is experimented through a developed hardware prototype. Simulation and experimental results show close conformity and validate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

  • In this paper. the robust PID controller using immune algorithm(IA) for load frequency control(LFC) is designed. In proposed method. objective function is represented as antigens. An affinity calculation is embedded within the algorithm for determining the promotion or suppression of antibody. Simulation results show that the proposed robust load frequency controller can achieve good performance even in the presence of generation rate constraints.

  • Silicon-based 0.69-inch AMOEL microdisplay with integrated driver and timing controller circuits for microdisplay applications has been developed using 0.35 ${\mu}m$ l-poly 4-metal standard CMOS process with 5 V CMOS devices and CMP (Chemical Mechanical Polishing) technology. To reduce the large data programming time consumed in a conventional current programming pixel circuit technique and to achieve uniform display, de-amplifying current mirror pixel circuit and the current-mode data driver circuit with threshold roltage compensation are proposed. The proposed current-mode data driver circuit is inherently immune to the ground-bouncing effect. The Monte-Carlo simulation results show that the proposed current-mode data driver circuit has channel-to-channel non-uniformity of less than ${\pm}$0.6 LSB under ${\pm}$70 mV threshold voltage variaions for both NMOS and PMOS transistors, which gives very good display uniformity.
