  • Based on visual Thinking theory, VR(virtual reality) game changes the traditional form of memory and maps the content into game elements to realize the immersive spatial memory mode. This paper analyzes the influencing factors of game design and system function construction. This paper proposes a hypothesis: with the help of visual thinking theory, VR game is helpful to improve learners' visual memory, and carries out research. The experiment sets different levels of game through empirical research and case analysis of memory flip game. For example, when judging two random cards. If the pictures are the same, it will be judged as the correct combination; if they are different, the two cards will be restored to the original state. The results are analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis and AMOS data analysis. The results show that game content using the concept of "Memory Palace", which can improve the accuracy of memory. We conclude that the use of spatial localization characteristics in flip games combining visual thinking can improve users' memory by helping users memorize and organize information in a Virtual environment, which means VR games have strong feasibility and effectiveness in improving memory.

  • With the development of VR technology, the visual immersion of VR games has been greatly enhanced nowadays. There has been an issue that has been troubling players in previous VR games, which is motion sickness. Therefore, VR games have been limited in terms of game mechanics, game duration, and game scale, greatly reducing the immersive experience of visual immersion. However, <Half-Life: Alyx> is different from previous VR games in that players can actually perform spatial displacement in the game scene, rather than being fixed in one place for 360-degree observation and interaction. At the same time, compared to traditional games, VR games no longer need to rely on screens, and the complete visual immersion enhances the fun and playability of the game. This research focuses on the VR game <Half-Life: Alyx> to explore its immersive factors in terms of visual perception. Through in-depth analysis of elements such as color, texture mapping, lighting, etc. in VR games, it was found that the game creates a strong sense of visual immersion in these aspects. Through analysis, it is helpful to gain a deeper understanding of the factors that contribute to visual immersion in VR games, which has certain reference value for game developers and related professionals.

These technologies are adopted in luxury fashion brands for virtual fashion shows and runways, virtual retail shops and virtual fitting services. Despite its growth potential and social importance, virtual fashion space has been studies insufficiently. Therefore, this study aimed to examine the consumer experience on the virtual fashion space types, components of virtual fashion space, perceived value, and continuous usage intention. Prada, one of the most active luxury fashion brands in the VR field, was selected as the stimulus for an in-depth interview. Participants experienced virtual fashion show space through VR device (Oculus Quest 2 from Meta) before responding to the questions about their experience. Results showed that material space was more like virtual whereas perceptual space felt like reality. Participants could imagine about more virtual image from material space and more real image from perceptual space elements. Moreover, perceptual space enhanced the immersion, presence, and interactivity compared to material space. Most participants perceived that the virtual fashion show was useful and playful, leading to the continuous usage intention. It implies that improvements for some technical limitation from VR device and virtual contents can provide quality consumer experience in the future. Based on results of this study, fashion companies can establish useful marketing strategies for consumers' immersive and playful experiences when introducing virtual fashion space.

  • The demand for virtual reality (VR) is rapidly increasing. Providing the immersive experience requires much operation and many data to transmit. For example, a 360-degree video (360 video) with at least 4K resolution is needed to offer an immersive experience to users. Moreover, the MPEG-I group defined three degrees of freedom plus (3DoF+), and it requires the transmission of multiview 360 videos simultaneoulsy. This could be a burden for the VR streaming system. Accordingly, in this work, a bitrate-saving method using projection conversion is introduced, along with experimental results for streaming 3DoF+ 360 video. The results show that projection conversion of 360 video with 360lib shows a Bjontegaard delta bitrate gain of as much as 11.4%.

  • The purpose of this paper is to identify the significance of heterogeneity in multi-player VR games. Heterogeneity is a concept of multi-player mode that a game uses the immersive VR and non-immersive system at the same time. As immersive VR device has become more commercial, multi-player VR games try to use heterogeneity strategically. is the best example to explain a new phenomenon, so this paper analyses by using a revised and reinforced MDA framework. As a result, we can find heterogeneity concept not only in the separation of player's interface, but also in the division of play patterns and experiences within a game itself.
