In this paper, a new encryption method for a binary image using Phase modulation and Fourier transform is proposed. For decryption we use the characteristics of square law detector. In encryption process, a key image is obtained by phase modulation of 256 level random pattern and its Fourier transformation, and input image is encrypted by Fourier transforming the multiplication of the phase modulated random pattern and phase modulated input image. The encrypted image and key image have only phase information, so they can not be copied or counterfeited and the original image can not be decrypted without the key image. To reconstruct the original image, each phase mask of the key image and the encrypted image must be placed on each path of the Mach-Zehnder interferometry with Fourier transform lens and the output image is obtained in the form of intensity in the CCD(Charge Coupled Device) camera. The real-time decryption is possible in the proposed system by use of a LCD as a phase modulator and a CCD camera as an intensity detector. The proposed method shows a good performance in the computer simulation and optical experiment as an encryption scheme.

Using a data set drawn from 1419 college students, this study analyzes what implications clothing or fashion has on self-expression or image management in Korean society and who are more likely to use fashion as a image management tool in the process of interacting with others. Employing Pierre Bourdieu's concept of capital, we discuss three theories concerning correspondence between class and fashion: the theory focusing on economic capital in emphasizing the correspondence; the theory focusing on cultural capital in emphasizing the correspondence and the theory emphasizing relationships between fashion and other factors rather than class. Based on the theoretical examination, we select independent variables that can be grouped into status/class variables, or economic capital variables(such as subjective status, income, father's education, father's occupation) and socio-cultural variables, or cultural capital variables(such as possession of cultural capital, desire for upward mobility). Upon regressing strategic use of fashion on independent variables, we find that both status/class variables and socio-cultural variables are statistically significant in explaining the strategic mobilization of fashion for one's image production or social success. It shows that class as a form of economic capital has important effects on the strategic use of fashion, and cultural capital also has effects independent of economic capital.

It can be important framework data to monitor the change of land-use pattern of river boundary in design and management of river. This study analyzed the change of land-use pattern of Gab and Yudeung River using time-series aerial images. To do this, we carried out radiation and geometric correction of image, and estimated land-use changes in inland and floodplain. As the analysis of inland, the ratio of residential, commercial, industrial, educational and public area, that is urbanized element, increases, but that of agricultural area shows a decline on the basis of 1990. Also, Minimum Distance Method, which is a kind of supervised classification method, is applied to extract water-body and sand bar layer in floodplain. As the analysis of land-use, the ratio of level-upped riverside land and water-body increases, but that of sand bar decreases. These time-series land use information can be important decision making data to evaluate the urbanization of river boundary, and especially it gives us goodness in river development project such as the composition of ecological habitat.

Query-by-example (QBE) is a well-known method for image retrieval. In reality, however, an example image to be used for the query is rarely available. Therefore, it is often necessary to find a good example image to be used for the query before applying the QBE method. Query-by-layout (QBL) is our proposal for that purpose. In particular, we make use of the visual descriptors such as the edge histogram descriptor (EHD) and the color layout descriptor (CLD) in MPEG-7. Since image features of the CLD and the EHD can be localized in terms of a$4{\times}4$ sub-image, we can specify image features such as color and edge distribution on each sub-image separately for image retrieval without a query image. Experimental results show that the proposed query method can be used to retrieve a good image as a starting point for further QBE-based image retrieval.

The burial culture has prevailed in our county because of the effect of Confucianism. First of all, tombs've had an negative effect on the vista of national land and caused an ineffective use of national land recently. for this reason, the systematic management of the toms is necessary The purpose of this project is to identify tombs' geographical coordinates from orthoimage and to analysis algorithms for extracting tombs on the satellite image. We've used IKONOS image for those purpose, because it's very similar to KOMPSAT-2 image's characteristics which will be launched near future. and, It will make the best use of tombs management of each local government.

Eastman Kodak Co. has announced the concept of photo CD System in September, 1990 With Photo CD System technology, Kodak Co. Furnishes a convinent way to view, use and store photographic images. The heart of this system is a format provides progressively higher levels of image quality to meet the demands of NTSC, PAL and HDTV video displays as well as hard copy output. Also, image professionals are instrested in the capability of Photo CD, such as a way to store image at low cost in a high-resolution digital format that can be played back on different computer platforms. Many editors wish to use Photo CD images in the printing and publishing industry. However, Photo CD images were not processed detail enhancement and some others to use in the lithographic offset printing. Therefore, in this paper discribes a method to improve the sharpness of Photo CD images.

At the KACC'91 conference, we proposed a method of automatic detection of shape of the faulty holes of a shadow mask which is used in a cathode-ray tube of a color television. In this method, the image data are taken from two areas of the mask with CCD camera. Comparing the shape of holes in these two areas by use of a signal processing technique, we can find any fault in the shape of holes. This paper describes the effect of smoothing filters of effectively finding the faulty holes from the difference image data. A computer simulation and actual experiment with a shadow mask have shown that this method of fault detection is very effective for practical use.

The received signal of ICS repeater is composed of BS(Base Station) and feedback signals. In this case, if the feedback signal is not rejected, system is oscillated. we use the IF signal for rejecting the feedback signal at ICS system. In general, SAW filter is used to reject the image of If signal. the use of this filter generates the system delay problems. In this paper, instead of SAW filter we use the Hilbert transform for rejecting image signal.

Purpose - This study analyzed how image affects customer trust and satisfaction in the online shopping mall market, which is becoming more competitive; future implications for customer management in online shopping malls were presented. Consumers visit and prefer a few shopping mall sites instead of many sites. Consumers do not visit sites that cannot provide trust and satisfaction. Therefore, establishing trust and satisfaction with differentiated image is essential for survival and growth. Specifically analyzing company image, shop image, and brand image, I studied how symbolic image, functional image, and empirical image affect satisfaction mediated by trust in the online shopping malls of hypermarket retailers. Research design, data, and methodology - To investigate the relationship between image and satisfaction of big box retailers' shopping malls in the online market, the study is based on analyzed data from questionnaires involving advanced research. From May 1st to 20th in the year 2014, a questionnaire survey targeting university students using big box retailers' shopping malls in Seoul was conducted. A total of 282 questionnaires were conducted, and 276 questionnaires were used for empirical analysis, excluding invalid data. Using the SPSS 21.0 statistics package, factor analysis and regression analysis were implemented, and effects of image on trust and satisfaction were presented. Results - First, symbolic image can affect satisfaction with only trust. Among 3 image factors, symbolic image exerts the most influence on trust; trust is important in coupling the medium to satisfaction. Second, functional image and empirical image affect satisfaction directly and indirectly with trust. Conclusions - As I classified the image of hyper market retailers' online shopping malls into symbolic, functional, and empirical image, I analyzed the effects of image on trust and satisfaction empirically. The results of the study and strategic implications are as follows. First, symbolic image can affect satisfaction with only trust. Among 3 image factors, symbolic image exerts the most influence on trust; trust is important in coupling the medium to satisfaction. The establishment of a distinctive symbolic image, such as the online shopping mall's loyalty, level of awareness, and special service, is needed. With the establishment of symbolic image, trust and satisfaction could be improved. Second, functional image and empirical image affect satisfaction directly and indirectly with trust. Especially, as functional image affects trust more than empirical image, setting and implementing a strategy for empirical image based on the right price, service, and convenience could raise trust and satisfaction. Empirical image affects trust and satisfaction substantially. Even though empirical image's influence on trust is lower than that of other three image factors, empirical image's influence on satisfaction is higher than symbolic image. Therefore, it requires a strategy for providing joyful use, and information research functions and distinctive use experience are important to improve satisfaction. This study analyzed image characteristics of hyper-market retailers' online shopping malls in the fast-growing online market; future strategic implications were presented.

Damage of rivers construction is serious to natural disaster by concentration rainfall in summer. Specially, increase of soil erosion breeds flood calamity of river bed accumulation and pondage decline etc., and erosion increase in upper stream shows in rivers flood of earth and sand, farm land and form of urban district burying. Flood damage investigation through on-the-spot probe until present need effective and scientific modelling techniques because is not efficient. This research wished to examine practical use of monitoring data of high resolution satellite image through satellite image analysis of various space resolution. Research analyzed abstraction possibility of soil disaster information using high resolution satellite image. Also, studied soil disaster damage present condition interpretation practical use possibility through various resolution satellite image analysis, and studied practical use of KOMPSAT image for interpretation of river topography change analysis.
