Automatic Visual Inspection System of Remocon using Camera (카메라를 이용한 리모컨 외관검사 자동화 시스템 구현)

  • The visual inspection method that depends on human's eyes has some problem that a lot of variations happen in examination according to bodily, spiritual state of the checker. We automate remocon inspection process using CCD camera. Our developed inspection system can be used in any remocon production line without the user's big handling. Our inspection system was developed using PC, CCD Camera, Visual C++ for universal work place. The accuracy of proposed system was improved about 3.2[%] than the conventional pattern matching method and the processing time was decreased about 119[ms]. Also we showed that our inspection system is more robust to lighting circumstances.

  • Recent trends for the miniaturization and weight reduction of portable electronic parts is the use of subminiature components. Assembly of the miniaturized components requires subminiature screws of which pitch sizes are in a micrometer scale. To produce such a subminiature screw with high precision threads, not only a precision forming technology but also high-precision measurement technique is required. In the present work, a vision inspection system is developed to measure the thread profile of a subminiature screw. Optical simulation based on a ray tracing method is used to design and analyze the optical system of the vision inspection apparatus. Through this simulation, optical performance of the developed vision inspection system is optimized. The image processing algorithm for the precision screw inspection is also discussed.

  • The catenaries must guarantee the constant electricity to the trains, so that the safety and the estimate of fatigue degree and the inspection of abrasion degree should be done rapidly. This thesis proposes the system that can manage the performance/failure of the catenaries using the image process as the solution for the weak points of the existing inspection such as the decrease of immediateness and the lack of constancy in the human resources. This study simulates the ALD using VHSV (Virture HSV) which is the unreal HSV images, not getting the real HSV in ages to the image processing technique that repeats the erosion and the expansion of the images as the methods that can monitor the slight/critical defects of the catenaries as dealing with the result of the catenaries inspection images. The final ALD (Abnormal Line Detection) system is designed based on this simulation. I have demonstrated it with the VHSV (Virture HSV) virtual images as the materials of the test and inspected it through testing the defects of the catenaries for the thesis.

  • To evaluate whether or not their product is in conformity with its drawing, today's factories manufacturing rubber and/or plastic products use manual process. In manual conformity inspection process, a person decides conformity as comparing drawing to image of product with his eyes. The manual process is tedious and time-consuming in addition that it is impossible to automatically record various informations related to inspection. To solve such problems, this paper proposes automatic drawing conformity inspection system based on computer vision technologies such as image feature matching and bilinear interpolation. The test results show that proposed system is a lot faster when comparing with manual system.

  • Automatic inspection system is required for increment of copper plate production and demand expansion. Thus 3D surface form and defect detection of copper plate calls for 3D image and GUI analysis. Limitation of 2D analysis, such as error occurrence and decision difficulty makes eye inspection automatic. Automatic inspection is able to raise accurate inspection rate and productivity efficiency elevation. In this paper defect classification is defined and inspection system is implemented. Defect analysis algorithms and GUI for 3D image analysis is developed and tested.

  • In this paper we deal with the system design and development of the high-speed automatic precision inspection for the defects of bolts. In order to inspect bolts continuously, we used the conveyor system. Also, this conveyor includes the servo motor and encoder to achieve accurate movement. According to encoder signal, line-scan camera captures the line-by-line image of bolts and after one frame is accumulated, various parameters are calculated and inspected by image processing algorithms. Experimental results using the developed facilities are presented to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed equipment.

  • Abstract: In this paper,an autoematic gear inspection system has been been developed using the computer aided vision system. Image processing and data analysis algorithms for gear inspection have been investigated and shown to perform quickly with high accuracy. As a result,dimensions of a gear can be measured upto few micrometer size in real time. In addition, the system can be applied to a practical manufacturing process even under nosiy conditions.

  • In this paper, in order to overcome shortcomings of manual inspection for the automotive PWM Shaft, we developed an automated inline inspection system. The automated inline inspection system consists of the work feeder unit, conveying unit, outer diameter check unit, run-out and roundness check unit, machine vision, defective separation unit and status alarm unit. We used the machine vision system for automatic inspection process and designed the inline systems for automatic feeding and selecting process. Also the repeated operation test was performed in order to verify the precision and reliability of the proposed automated inline inspection system.

  • In this paper, an automatic ball-stud inspection system has been developed using the computer-aided vision system. Index table has been used to get the rapid measurement and multi-camera has been used to get the high resolution in physical system. Camera calibration was suggested to perform the reliable inspection. Image processing and data analysis algorithms for ball stud inspection system have been investigated and were performed quickly with high accuracy. As a result, inspection system of a ball stud could be used with a high resolution in real time.
