Improved STGAN for Facial Attribute Editing by Utilizing Mask Information

  • 본 논문에서는 머리카락과 모자 영역의 마스크 정보를 활용하여 더 자연스러운 얼굴 속성 편집(facial attribute editing)을 수행하는 모델을 제안한다. 최신 얼굴 속성 편집 연구인 STGAN은 다중 얼굴 속성을 자연스럽게 편집하는 성과를 보였다. 그러나 머리카락과 관련된 속성을 편집할 때 부자연스러운 결과를 생성할 수 있다. 제안하는 방법의 핵심 아이디어는 기존 모델에서 부족했던 얼굴 영역의 정보를 모델에 추가로 반영하는 것이다. 이를 위해 세 가지 아이디어를 적용한다. 첫째로 마스크를 통해 머리카락 면적 속성을 추가하여 머리카락 정보를 보완한다. 둘째로 순환 일관성 손실(cycle consistency loss)을 추가하여 영상의 불필요한 변화를 억제한다. 셋째로 모자 분할 신경망을 추가하여 모자 영역 왜곡을 방지한다. 정성적 평가를 통해 제안하는 방법 적용 여부에 따른 유효성을 평가 및 분석한다. 실험 결과에서 제안하는 방법이 머리카락 및 얼굴 영역을 더 자연스럽게 생성하고, 모자 영역의 왜곡을 성공적으로 방지했다.

  • 스마트기기의 보급으로 애플리케이션의 수요가 급격히 증가하고 있다. 기업은 애플리케이션을 마케팅의 수단으로 적극적으로 활용하고 있으며, 특히 패션기업은 애플리케이션을 소비자와 소통하는 수단으로 이용하여 브랜드 노출과 이미지 개선을 시도하고 있다. 본 연구는 스마트기기 사용증가에 주목하여 모바일 쇼핑동기를 알아보고, 소비자의 패션애플리케이션 수용에 대한 지각과 패션애플리케이션의 여러 가지 속성에 대한 속성 중요도 판단에 미치는 영향을 알아보았다. 20-40대 남녀를 대상으로 한 실증적 연구 결과, 모바일 쇼핑동기는 편리성, 편재성, 충동성, 경제성으로 구분되었고, 패션애플리케이션의 속성은 콘텐츠, 지속적 관리, 디자인/가시성, 다운로딩, 커뮤니티로 구분되었다. 모바일 쇼핑동기는 패션애플리케이션 속성 중요도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고 패션애플리케이션 수용은 패션애플리케이션 속성 중요도에 영향을 미치는 것을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구는 패션애플리케이션의 잠재적 사용자라고 할 수 있는 모바일 쇼핑 사용경험자를 대상으로 연구함으로써 아직까지 활성화되지 않은 패션애플리케이션 속성에 대한 실증적 분석을 하였다는데 의의를 갖는다.

  • 오픈 데이터는 많은 경제적 가치를 지닌다. 우리나라 뿐만 아니라 여러 나라에서도 오픈 데이터를 확장하고 활용하기 위하여 갖은 정책과 노력을 기울이고 있다. 하지만 우리나라는 많은 데이터를 가지고 있음에도 불구하고 이를 잘 활용하지 못하여 효과를 보지 못하고 있어 여러 산업에서 다양한 시도가 필요하다. 그중에 패션 산업에서는 소비자의 단순 변심에 의해 교환, 환불 문제가 가장 많다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 서비스 제공자에게 더 나은 피드백이 필요하며 소비자의 요구사항이 반영된 사용자 리뷰와 함께 불만 사항이 개선된 이미지를 보여줌으로써 해결하고자 한다. 본 논문에서는 소비자의 요구사항을 파악하기 위해 온라인 쇼핑몰 사이트에서 사용자 리뷰 분석을 진행하고 K-fashion 데이터의 속성을 활용하여 제품에 대한 속성을 정의한다. 제품에 대한 사용자의 요구를 불만 속성으로 정의하고, 이에 해당하는 속성을 가진 라벨링 데이터를 검색하여 서비스 제공자에게 사용자의 요구사항을 텍스트 데이터나 속성 뿐만 아니라 이미지 또한 제공하여 제품 개선에 도움을 주고자 한다.

중국 현지인의 한식에 대한 인식과 한식 레스토랑 만족도 및 재방문의도 - 방문 경험과 방문 빈도 차이를 중심으로 - (Chinese Customers' Perception of Korean Foods and Satisfaction and Revisit Intentions to Korean Cuisine Restaurants - A Focus on Visiting Experience and Frequency of Visits -)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate Chinese customers' perceptions of Korean foods and their satisfaction toward Korean cuisine restaurants. The subjects of this study were 202 Chinese individuals who visited Korean cuisine restaurants in Shanghai, China. The subjects viewed Korean foods as favorite foods and perceived them as fresh and seasonal, and mostly composed of cereals and vegetables however they did not view Korean cuisine as good for health. As compared to customers visiting a Korean restaurant for the first time, those who had visited Korean restaurants previously agreed more strongly with the following items: 'Korean food has a beautiful color', 'Korean food is familiar', 'Korean food smells good', 'Korean food is healthy', 'Korean food is nutritious', and 'Korean food is salty and spicy'. In addition, as compared to occasional visitors, frequent visitors of Korean cuisine restaurants more strongly agreed with the followings: 'Korean food has a beautiful color', 'Korean food is expensive', 'Korean food is healthy', 'Korean food is nutritious', 'Korean food is salty and spicy', and 'Korean food includes many fermented foods'. The subjects considered 'appearance of menu', 'variety of menu', 'nutrition of menu', and 'Chinese characters for menu and ingredients' as the most important attributes when choosing Korean cuisine restaurants. The frequent customers of Korean cuisine restaurants considered 'kind service', 'employee knowledge of Korean foods', 'operation hours of restaurant', and 'cleanliness of restaurant' as the most important restaurant attributes. In addition, the frequent customers of Korean cuisine restaurants were more satisfied than the occasional customers with the followings: 'nutritional quality of menu', 'quick service', 'cleanliness of restaurant', 'appearance and signboard of restaurant', and 'image of restaurant'. The implications of the data are discussed.

Influence of Moral View and Other Variables on Purchase Intentions Concerning Fashion Counterfeits

  • The purpose of this research was to examine the extent of deontological (values) and teleological evaluation (considering consequences) used in arriving at an ethical judgment concerning intention to purchase a fashion counterfeit. In addition, the effect of psychographic (attitudes toward counterfeiting, risk taking, self-image, value consciousness, public self-consciousness, and materialism) and product attributes (perceived fashion content, physical appearance, and image) on intention to purchase a counterfeit product were investigated. Two alternatives and possible consequences as well as the scenario were given to the participants. The first alternative is persuading a friend not to buy a counterfeit and the second alternative is purchasing a counterfeit product with a friend. Participants (n = 245) were undergraduate volunteers enrolled in courses at a Midwestern university. Data were analyzed using confirmatory factory analysis and structural equation modeling. The proposed structural models fit the data adequately in both alternatives, and all paths were significant. Participants followed the decision making steps outlined by Hunt and Vitell (1986) in both alternatives. Personal characteristics exerted no influence on behavioral intentions concerning counterfeits. Two product-related characteristics (i.e., physical appearance of a counterfeit and projected image of a counterfeit) had direct effects on the behavioral intentions. The conclusions of this research are helpful in improving our understanding of variables that influence consumers' purchasing counterfeit luxury products.

  • Topographical images, in case of aerial or satellite images, are usually similar in colors and textures, and complex in shapes. Thus we have to use shape features of images for efficiently retrieving a query image from topographical image databases. In this paper, we propose a shape feature extraction method which is suitable for topographical images. This method, which improves the existing projection in the Cartesian coordinates, performs the projection operation in the polar coordinates. This method extracts three attributes, namely the number of region pixels, the boundary pixel length of the region from the centroid, the number of alternations between region and background, along each angular direction of the polar coordinates. It extracts the features of complex shape objects which may have holes and disconnected regions. An advantage of our method is that it is invariant to rotation/scale/translation of images. Finally we show the advantages of our method through experiments by comparing it with CSS which is one of the most successful methods in the area of shape feature extraction

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the power images in the style of a leader: through the focus on the portrait of Henry VIII. Study methods on the literature concerning viewpoints of power and image in the early modern age and the subjects of power are being used for theoretical backgrounds; and the visual data from National Portrait Gallery, British Library and the internet are used for exploratory studies. The results of this study are as follows. First, from the style of Henry VIII who represented the image of political power, the modern political phenomenon can be defined. Such phenomenon which displays images of political leaders from the study indicate an effective strategy. Second, the religious, a diplomatic representation for the style of Henry VIII powers, such as costume style and somatic visual images, represents the dignity and power by delivering visible internal attributes. Thus, the role model recognized by the society and the public's perception of leadership style affects the acknowledgement and belief by the people.

  • 본 논문에서는 동기 기반의 계층적 행동 계획 시스템을 제안한다. 가상 시뮬레이션 게임 환경에서 에이전트는 행동 계획 시스템을 통해 적합한 행동을 선택하게 된다. 행동 선택 시스템은 동기를 추출하고 목표를 선택하고 행동을 생성하고 최적화를 수행한다. 동기를 평가할 때 갑작스럽게 발생하거나 누적된 이벤트에 대해 계산한다. 동기를 선택할 때는 확률 분포를 사용하여 무작위로 선택한다. 계층적 목표 트리를 탐색한 후에 목표를 실행할 수 있다. 행동들을 비교한 후 가장 적합한 행동을 선택하게 된다. 선택을 할 때 안전도 값과 만족도 값을 비교하여 최적화된 행동을 선택한다. 본 연구에서 제안한 시스템을 식당경영 게임에 적용했다.
