KSR-III 추진기관종합시험에서 수행된 STS 배플 엔진 연소시험

  • KSR-III 추진기관시스템의 최종단계로 추진기관 종합시험이 수행되었다. 이 시험에서는 KSR-III용으로 개발된 세 가지 형태의 분사기면을 가지는 엔진에 대한 연소시험이 수행되어졌으며, 복합재 배플을 가지는 엔진을 발사체용으로 최종 인증한바 있다. 배플의 효과를 확인하기 위해 제작된 STS 배플 엔진은 비록 최종적인 발사체용은 아니나, 이 엔진을 가지고 수행한 연소시험을 통하여 배플이 KSR-III 연소기에서의 점화에 의한 불안정 연소 및 연소 중 자발적 불안정 연소 발생에 대한 강력한 억제 효과가 있음을 확인하였다.

  • The purpose of study is obtaining low-emission and high-efficiency in LPi engine with hydrogen enrichment. The test engine was named variable compression ratio single cylinder engine (VACRE). The fuel supply system provides LPG/hydrogen mixtures based on same heating value. A varied sensors such as crank shaft position sensor (CPS) and hall sensor supplies spark timing data to ignition controller. Displacement of VACRE is $1858.2cm^3$. VACRE was runned 1400rpm with compression ratio 8. Spark timing was set MBT without knocking. Relative air-fuel ratio($\lambda$) of this work was varied between 0,8 and 1.5.

  • 내연기관의 연소현상을 연구하는 연구자들에게 엔진 내부의 압력값은 연소과정을 이해 할 수 있는 좋은 데이터가 된다. 본 논문에서는 압력값을 이용하여 스파크 점화기관의 무부하에서의 사이클 연소 변동의 중요한 원인이 무엇인가를 규명한다. 또한 실험기관의 연소실에서 채취한 압력 데이터는 사이클 변동의 연소 해석의 기초 데이터와 연소율 해석 등의 데이터분석을 하는데 사용되었다. 연소변수의 입력변수로써 연료, 공기, 잔류량, 등등이 사이클 변동을 결정하는데 사용되었다.

  • 장기체공 소형 무인기 실용화를 위해서는 연료소비율이 우수한 엔진 개발이 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 4행정 글로우 플러그 엔진을 가솔린 엔진으로 개조하였다. 고공에서의 엔진 성능예측에 필요한 시뮬레이션 프로그램 개발을 위하여 지상에서 엔진 성능을 측정하였다. 측정결과 고속에서 윤활부족으로 인하여 엔진 마찰력이 급격히 증가함을 알 수 있었다. 지상 시험결과를 토대로 개발된 엔진성능 예측 프로그램에 의하면 고도가 상승할수록 연료소비율이 악화되는데 이는 윤활부족에 의한 마찰력 손실은 고도에 관계없이 거의 일정하기 때문이다.

표면의 대류열전달계수, 방사율 및 화염 열유속 역해석 연구 (Inverse Estimation of Convective Heat Transfer Coefficient, Emissivity and Flame Heat Flux on the Surface)

  • 반발 입자 군집 최적화 알고리즘을 이용하여 시편 표면에서의 대류열전달 계수, 방사율 및 화염에 의한 열유속을 예측하였다. 콘 칼로리미터를 이용하여 여러 열유속 조건 하에서의 방무목 시편의 표면 온도와 질량감소율 및 발화시간을 측정하였다. 본 연구에서 최적화된 대류열전달계수, 방사율 및 화염에 의한 열유속을 이용하여 계산된 표면온도는 실험결과와 각 열유속에 대하여 평균오차가 2% 내로 잘 일치하였다. 본 연구에서 제시한 방법을 이용하여 실험적 방법으로 직접 측정하기 매우 어려운 화염이 발생하는 표면에서 열전달과 관련된 여러 물리량을 구할 수 있다.

방전관 형태 및 열화 조건에 따른 세라믹 메탈할라이드 램프의 흑화원인 분석 (Analysis of Wall Blackening Reason in Ceramic Metal Halide Lamp by Shape of Arc-tube and Degradation Condition)

  • In order to analyze the reason of wall blackening, which affect the decline of lifetime in a ceramic metal halide lamp, we carried out the deterioration of ceramic tubes by a change in operating conditions with arc tubes of two types of spherical and cylindrical, and we have confirmed the cause of wall blackening through the analysis of element composition and spectrum from SEM/EDS and spectrum analyzer. Wall blackening of tungsten was shown by sputtering from ignition in 20 minute on/off condition and wall blackening from chemical reaction between PCA wall and rare earth halides was shown significantly in a condition without on/off test. Especially, the wall blackening and the decline of luminous flux were reduced by inner convection in spherical type arc tube. Moreover, the color temperature and color coordinate were changed by reduction of emission spectrum of Dy which causes the chemical reaction with PCA wall.

콘크리트 혼화재인 Fly Ash의 세계 표준규격 비교 (Comparison on International Standards of Fly Ash as Admixture in Concrete)

  • This study reviews the internationally existing standards for fly ash and the other pozzolanic materials. The standards reviewed for this report covers the thirteen contries around the world including USA. It is found that the comparison of standards appeared to be different for technical test requirements from the country to country. This may be due to the different composition of fly ash produced in each different country as by-product. It is importantly shown that the four countries, including USA have standardized to compose the total 70% of $SiO_2+Al_2O_3+Fe_2O_3$. The other countries have required to have the individual chemical composition, such as 45% $SiO_2$ in Japan. The loss on ignition is generally in the range of 5-6%, but the maximum 12% was allowed in some countries. This depends on the quality of fly ash. The moisture content is generally less than 3% in all countries except India allows up to 12% The pozzolanic activity (as the compression) has been standardized that the 28 days curing in compression was subjected in all countries but 91 days curing in compression was tested in Japan. It is shown that KS L 5405 is almost identical to JIS A 6201.

초고압용 폴리머 애자의 산불영향 연구 (A study of the Influence of Forest Fire on Polymer Insulator for UHV)

  • Big fire such as mountain fire my cause the prevention of the functions of the overhead cables and insulators, which may affect the operation of the transmission lines. Therefore, in order to understand the effect of the mountain fire on the polymeric insulator for transmission lines, the author observed the deformation of the sheds of the polymeric insulators and the change of the discs of the porcelain insulators under fire, and investigated the electrical and mechanical characteristics of the insulators after the ignition test. As the result the following conclusions were obtained. First, the porcelain insulator was degraded in electrical characteristics when the insulator was subjected to the fire for approximately 5 minutes; whereas, the polymeric insulator was not degraded though there were some damage on its sheds. Second, after 20 minute exposure to the fire, the polymeric insulator lost a lot of parts of sheds, but the electrical characteristics was lowered by around 20%, but the porcelain insulators were electrically degraded by more than 80%.

밀리미터 스케일 촉매 연소기에서의 수소-공기 예혼합 가스의 촉매 연소 특성 (Catalytic Combustion Characteristics of Hydrogen-Air Premixture in a Millimeter Scale Monolith Coated with Platinum)

  • In the present study, catalytic combustion of hydrogen-air premixture in a millimeter scale monolith coated with Pt catalyst was investigated. As the combustor size decreases, the heat loss increases in proportion with the inverse of the scale of combustion chamber and combustion efficiency decreases in a conventional type of combustor. Combustion reaction assisted by catalyst can reduce the heat loss by decreasing the reaction temperature at which catalytic conversion takes place. Another advantage of catalytic combustion is that ignition is not required. Platinum was coated by incipient wetness method on a millimeter scale monolith with cell size of $1{\times}1mm$. Using this monolith as the core of the reaction chamber, temperatures were recorded at various locations along the flow direction. Burnt gas was passed to a gas chromatography system to measure the hydrogen content after the reaction. The measurements were made at various volume flow rate of the fuel-air premixture. The gas chromatography results showed the reaction was complete at all the test conditions and the reacting species penetrated the laminar boundary layer at the honeycomb and made contact with the catalyst coated surface. At all the measuring locations, the record showed monotonous increase of temperature during the measurement duration. And the temperature profile showed that the peak temperature is reached at the point nearest to the gas inlet and decreasing temperature along the flow direction.

흡기포트 분사식 LPG 엔진의 연료량 제어 및 연소 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Combustion Characteristics and the Control on the Fuel Flow Rate of LPG Intake Port Injection Engine)

  • In this paper, characteristics of a port injection type LPG fuel system were investigated to adopt the system to a spark ignition engine through rig test. Engine combustion characteristics for limited conditions and the precise control method of LPG fuel supply were also studied. As a basic experiment, the effects and the relationships of parameters such as orifice area, fuel delivery pressure, fuel temperature and flow coefficient were established. From this, one dimensional compressible flow equation can be applied to control gaseous fuel flow rate by setting pressure difference between vaporizer and manifold to a certain range, for example about 1.2 bar in a naturally aspirated engine. The combustion analysis results of LPG engine were also compared with those of gasoline engine according to spark timing and load change. At part load and stoichiometric condition, the MBT spark timing of LPG fueled engine is retarded by 2$^{\circ}$ - 4$^{\circ}$CA compared to that of gasoline engine. On the contrary, the spark timing of LPG fueled engine can be advanced by 5$^{\circ}$- 10$^{\circ}$ CA at WOT, which results from higher Octane Number and burned fraction of LPG fuel compared to gasoline.
