  • Identification and discrimination the mathematical giftedness must be based on it's definition and factors. So, there must be considered not only IQ or high ability in mathematical problem solving, but also mathematical creativity and mathematical task commitment. Furthermore, we must relate our ideas with the programs to develop each student's hidden potential not to settle only. This study is focused on the discrimination of the recipients who would like to enter the elementary school level mathematical gifted education program. To fulfill this purpose, I considered the criteria, principles, methods, tools and their application. In this study, I considered three kinds of testing tools. The first was KEDI - WISC personal IQ test, the second is mathematical problem solving ability written test(1st type), and the third was mathematical creativity test(2nd type) which were giving out divergent products. The number of the participant of these tests were 95(5-6 grade). According to the test, students who had ever a prize in the level of national mathematical contest got more statistically significant higher scores on 1st and 2nd type than who had ever not, but they were not prominent on the phases of attitude, creative ability or interest and willing to study from the information of the behavior characteristics test. Using creativity test together with the behavior characteristics test will be more effective and lessen the possibility of exclusion the superior.

  • In broadcasts such as news and coverage programs, voice is modulated to protect the identity of the informant. Adjusting the pitch is commonly used voice modulation method, which allows easy voice restoration to the original voice by adjusting the pitch. Therefore, since broadcast voice modulation methods cannot properly protect the identity of the speaker and are vulnerable to security, a new voice modulation method is needed to replace them. In this paper, using the Lightweight speech de-identification model as the evaluation target model, we compare speech de-identification performance with broadcast voice modulation method using pitch modulation. Among the six modulation methods in the Lightweight speech de-identification model, we experimented on the de-identification performance of Korean speech as a human test and EER(Equal Error Rate) test compared with broadcast voice modulation using three modulation methods: McAdams, Resampling, and Vocal Tract Length Normalization(VTLN). Experimental results show VTLN modulation methods performed higher de-identification performance in both human tests and EER tests. As a result, the modulation methods of the Lightweight model for Korean speech has sufficient de-identification performance and will be able to replace the security-weak broadcast voice modulation.

  • Magnetic resonance diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) has revealed the disruption of brain white matter microstructure in normal aging and alcoholism undetectable with conventional structural MR imaging. we plan to analyze the FA measurements of the ROI of dangerous drinkers selected from Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT) and Tract-Based Spatial Statics (TBSS) tool was used to extract FA values in the ROI from the image acquired through the pre-processing process. TBSS has a higher sensitivity of the FA value and MD value in the white matter than the brain gray matter, and has the advantage of quantitatively deriving the unlimited degree of brain nerve fibers, and more specialized in the brain white matter. We plan to analyze the fractional anisotropy (FA) measurement value for damage by selecting the center of the anatomical structure of the white matter region of the brain with high anisotropy among the brain neural networks that are particularly vulnerable to alcohol as the region of interest (ROI). In this study, we expected that alcohol causes damage to the brain white matter microstructure from FA value in various areas including both Choroid plexus. Especially, In the case of the moderate drunker, the mean value of FA in Lt, Rt. Choroid plexus was 0.2831 and 0.2872, whereas, in the case of the severe drunker, the mean value of FA was 0.1972 and 0.1936. We found that the higher the score on the AUDIT scale, the lower the FA value in ROI region of the brain white matter. Using the AUDIT scale, the guideline for the FA value of DTI can be presented, and it is possible to select a significant number of potentially severe drinkers. In other words, AUDIT was proved as useful tool in screening and discrimination of severe drunker through DTI.

  • Dynamic and static analyses of existing structures are very important to obtain reliable information relating to actual structural properties. For this purpose a series of material test, dynamic test and static collapse test of the existing two brick chimneys, in Tokoname, are carried out. From the material tests, Young's modulus and compressive strength of the brick used for these chimneys are estimated to be 3200 MPa and 7.5 MPa, respectively. The results of static collapse test of the existing two brick chimneys are discussed in this paper and composed with the results from FEA (Finite Element analysis). From the results of dynamic tests, the fundamental frequencies of Howa and Iwata brick chimneys are estimated to be about 2.69 Hz and 2.93 Hz, respectively. Their natural modes are identified by ARMAV (Autoregressive Moving Average Vectors) model. On the basis of the static and dynamic experimental tests, a numerical model has been prepared. According to the European code (Eurocode n. 8: "Design of structures for earthquake resistance") non-linear static (Pushover) analysis of the two chimneys is carried out and they seem to be vulnerable to earthquakes with 0.25 to 0.35 g.

  • This paper presents an NVH test of Automotive power steering system performed at a half-car Test-rig. The test was done for neutral and full turn(or relief) conditions in steering wheel at a fixed rpm first, then followed by the same conditions for the rpm run-up. The sound intensity measurement verified the results from the frequency and order analysis, especially about the identification of major noise sources and their dominant frequencies. The results from thie study can be utilized in the system noise tuning when a new steering component is installed. In particular, the noise and vibration reduction at the relief condition will be accomplished through the knowledge obtained from this study and from the on-going research on the hose tuning techniques usign silencers and tuning cable inserted in the pressure hose.

  • The purpose of this research was first to analyse and compare the types of microbes inherent among the unwashed and washed Kupori textiles, and second to investigate whether there is a difference between unwashed and washed Kupori textiles on the susceptibility of contamination by microorganism when exposed to the same microbial environment. Microbial identification procedure and the Shake Flask Test for investigating the effect of exposure to microbial environment were carried out separately. The result of microbial identification procedure indicated that a variety of bacteria and fungi were inherent in both unwashed and washed textiles and that the population of contaminated microorganism became more diverse after washing. The result of Shake Flask Test indicated that given the same exposure condition, the unwashed textiles tend to be more susceptible to bacterial contamination than the washed textiles. The results of the present study supported the current conservation procedures adopted in Korean museums which include washing and humigation procedures before long-term storage or display of exhumed textiles.

  • Free running model tests gives us only maneuvering indices not hydrodynamic derivatives. For this reason, system identification method has been applied to the measured data to identify mathematical model describing hydrodynamic force. However It is difficult to obtain complete set of maneuvering derivatives because of strong correlation of sway velocity and yaw rate. Therefore, in this paper, we assumed that sway velocity related coefficients would be obtained by oblique towing test. and then proposed new procedure to estimate yaw related coefficients. To do this, correlation and regression analyses were carried out to establish modified model and estimate maneuvering derivatives. Also D-optimal rudder input scenario was found based on the modified model and confirmed the validity of its sufficient richness as a input scenario.

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the reliability and the validity of Deficiency and Excess Pattern Identification Questionnaire. The number of subjects enrolled in this study was 248, from July 2015 to March. 2016. The surveys was conducted two times with 3 month interval. The Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ analysis for internal reliability, Pearson Correlation Coefficient analysis for test-retest reliability were conducted. Factor analysis with varimax rotation for construct validity was used. Kappa analysis for diagnostic reliability were used. The significant p-value was < .05. The Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ was .929 in Deficiency and .932 in Excess questionnaire. The reliabilities between test and retest Intra Correlation Coefficient (ICC) was .71-.762 in the Deficiency, and .58-.786 in Excess questionnaire, respectively. Deficiency was divided by five factors, and Excess four factors. The factor convergence was 72.54% in the Deficiency and 67.5% in Excess questionnaire. The test-retest agreement of four pattern was 68.5% and Kappa was .530. This study reveals that Deficiency and Excess Pattern Identification Questionnaire is a reliable and valid. However, further study to validate the questionnaire is needed.

  • The objective of this study was two folds: to investigate the relationship between paternal identification rate and sperm quality parameters such as motility and sperm chromatin structure assay after heterospermic insemination; to see if mutual complement between tests and development of useful technique to enhance the fertility in artificial insemination. In individual boar's fertilizing ability, 3 high fertility boars showed significantly high fertility (p<0.05) compared to 3 low fertility boars, but there was no difference in litter size between two groups. Sperm motility test in pooled and individual semen using computer assisted sperm analysis (CASA) revealed that no significant difference among boars. The high fertile boar showed tendency of low %Red (High red fluorescence/green+red fluorescence) in sperm chromatin structure assay (SCSA) but paternal identification rate from piglets did not differ after heterospermic insemination. The correlation coefficient between individual or pooled semen function test and farrowing rates were well correlated as follows: %Red with litter size (r= - 0.53, p=0.03); %Red with paternal identification rates (r=-0.51, p=0.03); paternal identification rates with litter size (r=0.57, p=0.02). These results indicate that sperm chromatin structure assay and sperm quality parameter test in pooled semen are useful method to predict and evaluate the fertilizing capacity after heterospermic insemination in boars.
