Nowadays the flow of international trade is that there seems to appear economic block significantly because most countries contract FTAs, so our market condition is changing to a severe competitive situation. Korea which has 70% of foreign dependence of trade must get involved in regionalism, and also actively promote FTA more than any other countries. FTA on February in 2006, the pharmaceutical industry are anxious. The pharmaceutical industry in Korea has recently come to a crisis that it is hard to expect a growth due to structure of profit and a change for the worse of management. If Korea-U.S. FTA are contracted in this kind of situation, domestic pharmaceutical companies will be at stake. We can anticipate that FTA with the country that has a strong competitive power like U.S. affect negatively on pharmaceutical industry, because the industry doesn't have enough self-competitiveness. Considering this kind of surroundings, we need to present the policy to enhance competitiveness for damage limitation on pharmaceutical industry by Korea-U.S. FTA. Under this background, this research has groped for a direction to strengthen the competitiveness to develop pharmaceutical industry in quality. The competitive enhancement plan is presented which is divided into the government policy part, the R&D part, and the management part. Although Korea-U.S. FTA is analyzed to wither the pharmaceutical industry, it would be thought that it is a good chance to upgrade domestic pharmaceutical industry if we make the best use of it, and also to make in roads into foreign market.

As the convergence among technologies is reorganizing industry sectors, it is quite important to evaluate the probability of technological convergence, and to analyze how the technologies in a certain industry sector affect the same or other industry sectors. As a result, the large number of studies have been focused on the industry convergence. However, most of them have dealt mainly with case studies or strategy and policies and few efforts have been made to study it using quantitative data. The investigation of industry convergence using quantitative data will help understand the characteristics of industry and forecast the future of the industry from an objective point of view. Therefore, this research proposes a methodology to evaluate the possibilities of industry convergence using patent data. In particular, we emphasize the possibilities of technology convergence and suggest a technology relationship matrix to evaluate the technology convergence, as an antecedent of industry convergence. The feasibility and utility of the suggested methodology was verified with a case study on the convergence of IT and BT. The research results are expected to provide a useful guideline for developing a measure of convergence.

This study has conducted the economic effects of R&D investment in the IT industry using multi-regression analysis with three independent variables; capital stock, labor input and R&D stock. In this study, the IT industry has been categorized into three sub-industries; broadcasting communication appliances, information appliances and electronic components industry. Our analysis has found that auto-correlation shows considerable levels whereas figures of t-value and R-square show significant levels among all the IT sub-industries. Meanwhile, the values of R&D stock in the information appliances industry and that of labor input coefficients in the electronic components industry were minus, thus multi-collinearity was suspected. We have solved the problems regarding auto-correlation and multi-collinearity through Cochrane-Orcutt estimation and principal components analysis. This paper has derived the implications that R&D investment in the broadcasting communication industry is much more influential than any other IT sub-industry.

The health industry of China is faster than before, so it will be rank 5th at world-wide markets in 2010. Firstly, the custom tariff was lower at 15% in 2000 and at 10.4% on June 2005. And, it will be lower into 9.8% in 2010. Secondly, this is because of expansion of purchase power on increase in economic growth, extended human life expectancy. As it is entered the WTO in January 2002, it will positively affect on export of Korea for China. This paper focuses on the analysis of export increase caused by reduction of custom tariff in China. As above mentioned, the time schedule on average reduction of custom tariff was 15% in 2000, 10.4% in 2005. Then, it will be lower into 9.8% in 2010. As the empirical test related health industry, it presents 19.80% export increase rate for China of Korea on reduction of custom tariff from 2001 to 2010. The exporting of drug for China will be up to 17.85% for 10 years. Also, the exporting of Biomedical will be up to 20.99%, and respectively 22.95%, 22.60% in Cosmetics and food industry. Conclusionally, the exporting of this health industry will be increase greatly, compared with any other industries. So, it is necessary that firms increase in R&D investment and government support as policy for health industry.

Recently, Green Business/IT becomes very important for management of company, because there are many new regulations about the environment protection, especially to reduce green house effect. The purpose of this research is to investigate present situation of Korean manufacturing industry about the Introduction of Green Business/IT. For the people who is in charge of the decision whether to Introduce Green Business/IT or not, this paper aim to provide some useful findings. We made a research framework consisting of 5Ps (Philosophy, Partner, Process, Product, Public) from literature review, then we found that almost all of the companies in manufacturing industry prepare for the regulations by introducing and using Green Business/IT concepts. There are some differences between production goods industry and consumer's goods industry. Also we found that there are a lot of relationships with recognition level and planning level. The higher the level of profitability, the lower the level of preparing social responsibility. This means there are two opposite perspectives(profitability, social responsibility). Therefore organizations who are adopting Green Business IT/should strive for harmony of sight.

The computer was only used to calculate and solve the mathematical problems, to send the simple data, and to exchange the text based informations in the early 1990's. But nowadays, computer technology give us the chance to exchange digital goods and services, etc. And more, computer and computer based systems can be applied everywhere, for example, it can be used at office, at home, and at school. Most of all, one of the remarkable changes is the development of mobile industry, which can be applied anywhere and anytime. So, this study focused on the current situation and promotion plans of the mobile industry. Mobile is based on the IT, IT and mobile technology are the foundation stone of ubiquitous computing environments. Accordingly, this thesis analysis the meaning of ubiquitous, the meaning and roll of mobile industry. With the analysis of this, the conclusion is that to develop and success the new business model at home and overseas, the cooperation of government section and industry section is the most import thing to make it out.

IT has contributed much to Korea's economic growth and has helped the innovation of social paradigm. It helps the improvement of productivity, efficiency, convenience and communication, and also helps the critical changes of life style. IT convergence with other technologies or industries has appeared and it promotes new changes and innovations. It is the convergence of IT advancement and other areas of technology development, and it promotes and creates new industries. In major countries, including Korea, the resources and capabilities has focused selectively into this new industry. In this paper, we try to study IT integration strategy and technology development trends and to evaluate the level of IT integration capabilities in Korea based on experts survey results. In the conclusion, we suggest some Strategic Recommendations for developing and leading the new IT Convergence industries.

Under the sudden change of competitive environment, the economic cooperation as a part of survival strategy is being a big issue among countries. There was much discussion based on the geological adjacency as well as cultural homogeneity regarding the economic cooperation of three countries, Korea, China, Japan. It has been also known that major trade countries of the world concluded the treaty of region trade, then extended the number of export, and drew a success in foreign direct investment. Resent automobile industry is being ran by the center of America, Europe and Japan. Korea only has a successful experience of restoration of automobile industry in the half of a century after his beginning. It is true that China is trying to do best to raise his automobile industry. Also Japan is a leading automobile country guiding automobile industry all over the world. It can be considered that Korea will play a major role in the three countries' automobile industry based on Japanese demonstrated technology, Chinese resources, market and experience with their economic cooperation. Therefore it is expected that a big result will be achieved throughout such a role play of each country. This paper has a purpose to light up the distinctive quality and the present condition of each country in automobile Industry, and to promote the foundation of three countries' economic cooperation. It is convinced that the economic cooperation of three countries, Korea, China and Japan in automobile industry, will play a great role in the world automobile market.

In this study, we define Fintech services as review previous literatures and identify the traditional Fintech service market for analysing the economic effects of the Fintech Industry by using the 2014 Input-Output Table. We can identify the current market of Fintech industry which consists of VAN, PG, financial SW, mobile banking and Fintech R&D and we conduct Input-Output analysis by using non-competitive import model. The Input-Output analysis results show that production inducement effect and front/rear chain effect of the Fintech Industry are below average of other industries. This is because the Fintech technology and industry were emerging in Korea at that time (2014), and thus the ripple effects are not significant. Especially, due to the existing white risk financial regulation, new business opportunities have not been open to adapt new ICT-financial technologies. Therefore, when the business ecosystem is build through deregulation and platforms of the financial sector, it is expected that the Fintech Industry will have a high ripple effect. In this study, we identify the current market of Fintech industry from ICT indusries and conduct Input-Output analysis. The economic effects of the Fintech industry are not remarkable, but it is significant to identify the emerging market and present the basic analysis of issued research field.

It can be said that the fishery industry in ancient China did not originally occupy a very special economic area even when it was started. At that time, the fishery industry was only treated as a means for the livelihood of ordinary people. Over time, the value and economic benefit of aquatic products began to be valued. Its origin can be said to have originated from Yugong(禹貢), which was established by King Yu. These records made it clear that the ancient kings placed great importance on the economic value of seafood and the importance of the fishery industry in the government. Thus, the fishery industry was established as a part of the socio-economic system. In ancient China, the fishery industry was one of the industrial systems that supported traditional Chinese society along with agriculture. It will be possible to analyze the way of thinking of modern Chinese people on the fishery industry through the study of the fishery industry in the traditional era of China. And based on this analysis, I think that it will be able to contribute to a certain extent in establishing a theoretical foundation for countermeasures against the reckless overfishing of fishery resources by Chinese fishermen in the West Sea, which is currently a problem.
