  • The Wafer Level Packaging is one of the most important technologies in the semiconductor industry today. Its primary advantages are its small form factor and low cost potential for manufacturing including test procedure. The CASIO's WLP samples, application example and the structure are shown in Fig.1, 2&3. There are dielectric layer , under bump metal, re-distribution layer, copper post , encapsulation material and terminal solder .The key technologies are 'Electroplating thick copper process' and 'Unique wafer encapsulation process'. These are very effective in getting electrical and mechanical advantages of package. (Fig. 4). CASIO and CMK are developing a new System Packaging technology called the Embedded Wafer Level Package (EWLP) together. The active components (semiconductor chip) in the WLP structure are embedded into the Printed Wiring Board during their manufacturing process. This new technical approach has many advantages that can respond to requirements for future mobile products. The unique feature of this EWLP technology is that it doesn't contain any solder interconnection inside. In addition to improved electrical performance, EWLP can enable the improvement of module reliability. (Fig.5) The CASIO's WLP Technology will become the effective solution of 'KGD problem in System Packaging'. (Fig. 6) The EWLP sample shown in Fig.7 including three chips in the WLP form has almost same structure wi_th SoC's. Also, this module technology are suitable for RF and Analog system applications. • Metal matrix composites had generated a lot of interest in recent times because of significant in specific properties, it was also highlighted as the material of frontier industry because strength, heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant were superiored. In recent years, the study of metal matrix composite has increased by aluminum alloy. The study is based on the tribological properties of AC4CH that is a part of the mechanical property of metal matrix composites. Metal matrix composite that is produced from matrix material AC4CH and reinforcement SiO$_2$, Al$_2$O$_3$ and TiO$_2$ are added to the metal matrix composite fur strength so binding among the whisker can take place. Each metal matrix composite is produced using the squeeze casting method. To test for tribe a pin-on-disk machine and lubricant is used without paraffine 8.2CST at room temperature which is 40$\^{C}$. As the results of this study, the tribological properties of each specimen are more improved than AC4CH. The variation of coefficient resistance is more stable at the AC4CH and TiO$_2$, but the variation rates are higher at the inanimate binder.

  • In order to grow the crystalline solar cells industry continuously, development of alternate low-cost manufacturing processes is required. Plasma doping system is the technique for introducing dopants into semiconductor wafers in CMOS devices. In photovoltaics, plasma doping system could be an interesting alternative to thermal furnace diffusion processes. In this paper, plasma doping system was applied for phosphorus doping in crystalline solar cells. The Plasma doping was carried out in 1~4 KV bias voltages for four minutes. For removing surface damage and formation of pn junction, annealing steps were carried out in the range of $800{\sim}900^{\circ}C$ with $O_2$ ambient using thermal furnace. The junction depth in about $0.35{\sim}0.6{\mu}m$ range have been achieved and the doping profiles were very similar to emitter by thermal diffusion. So, It could be confirmed that plasma doping technique can be used for emitter formation in crystalline solar cells.

  • In order to provide priorities of the factors affecting the introduction of Smart Factory, This study reconstructed the factors and calculated the priorities through AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process). The first layer of the hierarchy have 4 factors; productivity increase, brand image improve, marketing improve, cost reduction. The second layer of the hierarchy have 3 factors belong to the first layer, so the total number of second layer is 12. We divided the characteristics of enterprises into type of manager and age. The C.R. (consistency ratio) values of the respondents were found to be less than 0.1 and were judged to be a 'reasonable test'. As a result, the weights of the higher layer and the lower layer were obtained respectively, and then the weights of the higher layer and the weights of the lower layer were multiplied to obtain the total weights. Unlike previous studies that only surveyed factors that companies consider when introducing smart factory, (1) weighing and prioritizing factors were achieved. There are differences in priorities, (2) smart factory can be studied with the type of manager and firm age. When establishing policies, it is a practical implication (3) to assess its strategy not only for government officials but also for executives.

  • This review was performed to investigate the current researches on the welfare of rearing environments system in farming chicken, including stocking density, perch, housing system and research trend. The investigation indicated that most of the developed countries took much efforts into making appropriate regulations to improve the welfare of rearing environment about broilers and laying hens, particularly more parts in laying hens. Recently the regulations have varied a lot, to be more detailed than before. Moreover, some regulations give valuable suggestions to improve well-being of poultry industry such as additional facilities. Until now it has been known, the quality of the products will improve and the income of producers will increase along with the improvement of welfare. Therefore the relevant agencies and organizations can strengthen the belief of consumers especially the competition is so fierce today. In conclusion, improvement of poultry welfare should be carried out in the real situation and international trends to create the appropriate rules such as professional consulting and training.

  • During the last years phytochemistry and phytopharmaceutical applications have developed rapidly and so there exists a high demand for faster and more efficient analysis techniques. Therefore we have established a near infrared transflectance spectroscopy (NIRS) method that allows a qualitative and quantitative determination of new polyphenolic pharmacological active leading compounds within a few seconds. As the NIR spectrometer has to be calibrated the compound of interest has at first to be characterized by using one or other a combination of chromatographic or electrophoretic separation techniques such as thin layer chromatography (TLC), high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), capillary electrophoresis (CE), gas chromatography (GC) and capillary electrochromatography (CEC). Both structural elucidation and quantitative analysis of the phenolic compound is possible by direct coupling of the mentioned separation methods with a mass spectrometer (GC-MS, LC-MS/MS, CE-MS, CEC-MS) and a NMR spectrometer (LC-NMR). Furthermore the compound has to be isolated (NPLC, MPLC, prep. TLC, prep. HPLC) and its structure elucidated by spectroscopic techniques (UV, IR, HR-MS, NMR) and chemical synthesis. After that HPLC can be used to provide the reference data for the calibration step of the near infrared spectrometer. The NIRS calibration step is time consuming, which is compensated by short analysis times. After validation of the established NIRS method it is possible to determine the polyphenolic compound within seconds which allows to raise the efficiency in quality control and to reduce costs especially in the phytopharmaceutical industry.

  • Brachyspira (B.) hyodysenteriae is a causative agent of swine dysentery that is responsible for death and economic losses in the pig industry. It is imperative that clinical samples be delivered fresh for accurate diagnosis. The viability and DNA detection of B. hyodysenteriae using lab-made (phosphate buffered saline and modified tryptic soy broth) or commercial transport media (C, D, and E) were compared by culturing and real-time PCR at $4^{\circ}C$ or room temperature (RT), respectively. B. hyodysenteriae grown in D (Anaerobe Systems, USA) and E (Starplex Scientific, Canada) media was viable for 4 days at $4^{\circ}C$ and RT. However, B. hyodysenteriae in A, B, and C (culture swab; BD Biosciences, USA) media were not recovered after 2 days at RT. Ct values for real-time PCR at $4^{\circ}C$ and RT ranged from $27.2{\pm}2.1$ (C) to $29.6{\pm}0.5$ (B), and $28.0{\pm}0.9$ (E) to $30.2{\pm}1.5$ (B), respectively. Considering the field conditions, it is important that transport media is used for specimen isolation and PCR to obtain an accurate diagnosis of swine dysentery.

  • This study was performed to understand the changes in wood extractives, mainly acetone extracts, in pine woods (Pinus densiflora and Pinus rigida) treated by three blue stain fungi (BSF) such as native BSF in Korea, Leptographium sp., screened Albino strain(BSFcs-1) and commercial Cartapip and fungicide, Wood guard. In addition their pulping and bleaching properties were investigated. BSF treatment has significantly reduced acetone extracts, $25.1{\sim}30.4%$ decreasing in red pine and $22.9{\sim}28.1%$ in pitch pine. Three week aging treatment showed about 20% decreasing in red pine and 19.3% in pitch pine. There were not so significant differences in extracts reduction among native BSF and Albino-type strains (Albino strain, BSFcs-1, and commercial Cartapip). But fungicide, Wood guard, treated wood showed relatively lower decreasing rates of extractives, 14% in red pine and 10.1% in pitch pine. Therefore it is understandable that the fungicide could protect the wood from blue stain fungi attack, but has no effect on its extractive reduction. Concerned to pulping properties of BSF and fungicide treated woods, red pine and pitch pine, optimum pulping condition was 20% active alkali, wood to liquor ratio 1 to 6, $170^{\circ}C$, and 2.5 hr. In the case of BSF woods, optimum pulping condition was same as the sound wood, $43.5{\sim}45%$ of pulp yields and $1.3{\sim}1.45%$ of rejects. Screened pulp yield of fungicide treated wood was lower than those of BSF treated woods. Rejects in pulps were higher in fungicide-treated wood than BSF treated woods. Bleaching pulp yields were ranged of 92 to 93.5%. BSF, Cartapip and fungicide treated woods resulted in lower brightness of $55{\sim}58%$, but Albino-type strain(BSFcs-1) $61.3{\sim}62.3%$, very similar to untreated one. Therefore bleaching chemicals could be saved in the processing of chemical pulping.
