한미 대학생 소비자의 충동구매성향 비교연구 : 자기조절학습과 자기조절소비를 중심으로 (A Cross Cultural Study of Self-Regulation and Impulsive Buying of College Students from South Korea and United States)

  • The purpose of this study is to compare the impulsive purchasing tendency of Korean and U.S. college students. In particular, the study examined the effects of self-regulated learning and self-regulated consumption on college students' impulsive buying tendency. A total of 680 valid samples were obtained from online self-reported surveys in Korea and the United States. Both self-regulated learning and self-regulated consumption (self-control and self-supervision) were higher in US college students than Korean students. Self-regulated learning did not influence impulsive purchasing tendency. However, the impulsive purchasing tendency increased as the level of self-supervision among self-regulated consumption decreased. When purchases were made in stores, impulsive purchasing tendency increased in both South Korea and the US. Therefore, it is necessary to make efforts to decrease the impulsive purchasing tendency by fostering self-regulated consumption capacity of college students through consumer education.

위험이 구매의도에 미치는 영향의 재조명 : 전자상거래 이용자 집단의 혁신성을 중심으로 (Reexamination of Effect of Perceived Risk on Purchasing Intention)

  • There are so many studies on perceived risk and purchasing intention. But the results of those studies were inconsistent; some studies showed the positive effect of perceived risk on purchasing intention; others showed the negative effect. This research supposed that the inconsistence of studies resulted from the difference of group innovativeness and set up research hypotheses : among users from the lower innovativeness group, perceived risk has a negative effect on purchasing intention, but from the higher group, perceived risk has a positive effect on purchasing intention. We compared Internet shopping mall users of South Korea representing low innovativeness with those of China representing high innovativeness. The results provided that among South Korean users, perceived risk had the statistically insignificant negative effect on purchasing intention, but among Chinese users, it had the statistically significant positive effect on purchasing intention. Additionally, this study found that perceived risk influenced users' fun which in turn influenced purchasing intention.

인터넷 커뮤니티를 통한 소비자 정보탐색 -혼수용 한복을 중심으로- (A Study on Marketing Strategy according to Exploration of the Consumer Information through Internet Community)

  • The first purpose of this study was to compare the factors of information searching before purchasing with the factors of information offering after purchasing of the products, which were communication contents about the wedding Hanbok in internet communities. The second purpose was to propose marketing strategies for internet wedding Hanbok marketer. To accomplish the goal, the content analysis method which considered references and opinions of internet community members was used. Two hundred cases from WEDDING CLUB(62,893members), WEDDING GONGBU (18,649members), and WEDDING DOUMI (17,326members) in Daum internet portal site were selected from August 1 to September 21, 2003. The results were as follows: First, the information factors which were considered seriously when consumers purchased wedding Hanbok, were design, the level of sewing, price, store location, cognitive power, service level, and manufacturing time. Second, the consumers considered the price as the most important factor when they searched internet information. Third, the service factor was also considered importantly, and it was recognized important factor so much after purchasing as before purchasing wedding Hanbok. Fourth, the factors such as cognitive power, manufacturing time and store location were seriously considered as the information searching factors before purchasing. It showed higher rate when compared with information offering factors of after purchasing the wedding Hanbok. Fifth, the factor of sewing was considered as lower rate than other factors. It showed similar results before and after purchasing the wedding Hanbok.

  • Domestic distribution environment in Korea has rapidly and qualitatively been developed due to the open of distribution market. However, the function of commercial establishment goes beyond the place value that simple transaction of capacity takes place, and it is recognized as life groove space enhancing the satisfaction of costumers' purchasing pattern. For this reason, there has been the need to change the purchasing environment of commercial space. The change factors of commercial space contributed to the establishment of consumption identity formed by change of consumers' lifestyle and the purchasing pattern. It is necessary to see the change factors of the purchasing pattern as the conversion of distribution environment in terms of supplier and as the change of consumers' lifestyle in terms of consumers. In reality, however, the commercial facility ill-imitated the advanced model and qualitatively was developed. In this situation, the change of the purchasing pattern according to the conversion of facility is needed as an early stage. The purpose of this study is to analyze the overflow supply of commercial facility. Also It will discuss the plan characteristics of commercial space conversion of facility conforming to the change of the purchasing pattern that is predicted in the lifestyle on a conversion stage of facility.

Effect of Local Cosmetic Brand's Global Images on Domestic Consumers' Purchasing Decision

  • This research was carried out by setting hypotheses on recognition of the global image of the research subject, a domestic cosmetic brand and consequent quality of the brand, reputation of the brand, purchasing decision, influence of images of expanded countries and their correlations to investigate what effect the global images of local brands practically have on domestic consumers' purchasing decision. The analysis results show that overseas expansion of the research subject brand has positive influence on the brand possessing global images. However, it can be seen that the quality of the brand has much larger influence on the reputation of the brand than the images of global brand. In addition, the images of the expanded countries have influence on purchasing decisions but the global images based on the expanded countries did not have much influence on purchasing decisions. Therefore, it can be seen that global images based on high levels of brand reputation and quality are requirements of a most competitive brand than images of the expanded countries in forecasting likelihood of purchase.

여성 화장품 용기디자인이 구매성향에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Influence of Package Design of Female Cosmetics on Purchasing Preference)

  • This study investigated the influence of package design of female cosmetics on the purchasing preferences of view The subjects of this study were the consumers of female cosmetics from their twenties to the forties, and were 195 consumers who dropped into beauty counters to buy their cosmetics. With this study, it can be said that package design Is an effective factor on purchasing of female cosmetics. In general, most consumers prefer to practical and useful package design. But the younger consumers tend to be more influenced by luxury and expensive package design than an elderly consumers on purchasing cosmetics. And it made a little difference in purchasing preferences by academic background.

소비자 특성 및 관여도가 유아복 구매 행동에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Consumer′s Characterististics and Involvement on Infant′s Clothing Purchasing Behavior)

  • This study aims to make clear how consumer's characteristic and involvement in infant's clothing effect on the purchasing behavior. Using questionnaire as a researching tool, I collected the date from 366 housewives who live in Seoul and have kids aged from two to six year-old. The results of the study were as follows : First, they showed a significance on the correlation between sub-variants of involvement in their child's clothing like interest, importance and cognition of danger and those of purchasing behavior like directions to trademark, beauty and practicality, and so that, ti was realized that the involvement have a great effect on their purchasing behavior like. This was of the same opinion that when they think economic significance seriously, they also think practical function importantly. It seems that such a result derived from the fact that infant's clothing is most involved in practicality and economy rather than in trademark, beauty and popularity which are important on adult's clothing because infant's growth is so rapid that it requires to change sooner. Second, as for the correlation between the involvement in their child's clothing and the purchasing behavior according with the consumer's characteristics, they showed a significant correlation according with the consumer's characteristics like husband's profession, average monthly income and monthly expense to purchase infant's clothing. I found, therefore, economic factors like husband's profession, average monthly income and monthly expense to purchase infant's clothing were of most important. It suggests that the higher the consumer's income is, the grater it have an effect on the purchasing behavior.

외국인의 에스닉 푸드에 대한 태도가 한식 구매 의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Foreigner's Ethnic Food Attitudes on Purchasing Intentions of Korean Foods)

  • In order to globalize Korean foods successfully, it is necessary to understand foreigners' attitudes about ethnic foods and how foreigners perceive Korean foods. It would be valuable to survey the degree of interest from foreigners when purchasing Korean foods. Thus, a survey was performed on the most common tourists in Korea, the Japanese, Chinese and Americans. 313 respondents completed the survey on ethnic foods (16 questions), purchasing intention of Korean foods (3 questions), and socio-demographic conditions (9 questions). Factor analysis and reliability analysis were conducted to identify the indicators of attitudes toward ethnic foods. Correlation analysis was conducted to confirm the relation between attitudes toward ethnic foods and Korean food purchasing intention. From the results of factor analysis, 5 factors emerged from the 13 out of 16 questions; and were labeled new food seekers, ethnic food seekers, familiarity seekers, new taste seekers and challenge seekers. Items were analyzed to determine the differences according to nationality by using the ANOVA, and it showed that Americans have the highest Korean food purchasing intentions. The regression analysis indicated that attitude factors on ethnic foods, new foods and new taste seekers are strongly related to Korean food purchase intentions.

  • This study aims to examine the structural relationship between consumers' health-related lifestyle. purchasing attitude and purchase intention in the rice-based bakery products market. Data were collected from 397 consumers in their 20 years old and more. Results showed that purchasing attitude positively affected nutrition, trends and taste, and it was a key variable in explaining the intention to purchase rice-based bakery products. Therefore, it is necessary to develop and cultivate rice flour varieties containing various nutrients and develop products by capturing the food trends among consumers to induce them to purchase rice-based bakery products. Purchasing attitude fully mediated the relationship between taste and purchase intention, which suggests that it is necessary to hold tasting or sampling events and carry out promotional activities for consumers to perceive that rice-based bakery products taste good, which may lead to positive purchasing attitude.

A study on functional cosmetics purchasing behavior and satisfaction based on psychological characteristics post-COVID-19

  • This study aims to quantitatively understand the influence of changes in functional cosmetics purchasing sentiment on purchasing behavior and purchase satisfaction after the COVID-19 pandemic and present empirical analysis results regarding the rapidly changing cosmetics consumption market. This study empirically analyzed the structural relationship between non-face-to-face service purchase behavior, functional cosmetics purchase behavior, and functional cosmetics purchase satisfaction to predict purchase behavior of functional cosmetics by psychological characteristics after COVID-19. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 22.0 (Statistical Package for Social Science) program and Amos 21.0, and correlation analysis was performed to understand the relationship between consumers' purchasing behaviors of functional cosmetics according to their perception of risk of COVID-19 carried out.Summarizing the results of this study, it was found that the higher the anxiety after the corona outbreak, the higher the non-face-to-face service purchase behavior and the functional cosmetics purchase behavior. It was found that purchase satisfaction increased when purchasing behavior of functional cosmetics increased, but purchase satisfaction decreased as anxiety increased after the outbreak of Corona.In this study, a sample of 1452 people were used as research data, and the theoretical implications for the development of functional cosmetics were presented by confirming the effect of changes in non-face-to-face service purchase behavior according to psychological characteristics after Corona 19 on consumer satisfaction.
