This study is intended to look into the structural relationships between project manager's creative thinking, entrepreneurship, and project performance. To achieve this, research model and hypothesis were established to carry out statistical analysis based on the results of an empirical sample survey. The findings showed that project manager's creative thinking didn't improve project satisfaction directly, but it improved project satisfaction through the mediating effects of project manager's entrepreneurship. While it had a direct effect on perceived project performance, project manager's entrepreneurship was not mediated in this process. This suggests that even if project managers have a high expertise, thinking skill and motivation as creative thinking in working on the project, they have the limitation in leading to customer satisfaction from a personal perspective.

Technology developments accelerate the change of the society and companies with unparalleled pace, so large scaled projects are in progress urgently. Large scaled projects deal with high technologies and massive tasks, and these need enormous labor force and costs, it is necessary to manage strategic conflicts based on human psychology and complex system theory. However, traditional management plan fails to suggest practical mechanism for successful projects. We study failure cases and key elements, leadership for projects, and suggest project management plan with psychological and behavioral economy approach by focusing on complexity and conflict structure on large scaled projects. Project behavior management plan, suggested in this study, is designed with phased strategy and practice to solve the failure of large scaled IT projects originally and preemptively. We verified the effectiveness of behavior management plan suggested by investigating experts and working groups, and stable projects are to be progressed with introducing this plan on large-scaled projects.

Project risk assessment is the most important activity performed at the beginning of a project because it can judge the performance of the project in advance. In this study, We were evaluated risk with traditional risk factors such as technology and schedule, etc, and Indirect risks factors such as financial, strategic, and special risks. and then, we analyzed what kind of relationship these risk evaluation factors have on business performance and customer satisfaction. As a result of the research, it was found that the risk evaluation items had a relationship with performance and customer satisfaction. However, It is possible that the performance may differ depending on how risks are managed after risk assessment. Therefore, follow-up studies should be conducted, including information on risk management practices. This study is meaningful that presenting practical risk evaluation items and at the same time identifying the relationship with performance. We plan to further the study in future studies including the evaluation of risk management process.

본 연구는 감리품질에 따른 감리성과와 프로젝트성과에의 영향으로 감리의뢰기관이 해당 감리기관에 재구매의도 또는 재계약의도에 대한 영향을 조사하였다. 연구결과, 설정된 연구모형을 중심으로 전반적인 분석을 수행하였으며, 경로분석 결과 모든 영향관계가 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 감리품질이 프로젝트성과와 감리효과 및 만족도에 정의 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 프로젝트성과와 감리 효과 및 만족도를 향상시키기 위해서는 감리품질뿐만 아니라 감리품질에 영향을 미치는 감리서비스요인에 대해 판단할 필요가 있으며, 감리효과와 만족도가 높으면 재구매에 정의 영향을 미치고, 프로젝트 성과가 높으면 재구매에 정의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

프로젝트 관리 성숙도(Project Management Maturity Model)란 기업 조직의 프로젝트 관리 관행이나 도구 및 기법 적용의 성숙도 단계를 정의한 것이며, 계량적인 성숙도 측정을 통해 프로젝트 관리의 장단점을 파악하고 개선하여 기업의 성과를 향상시키는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 논문에서는 프로젝트 관리성숙도를 활용하여 첫째, 한국 IT산업의 프로젝트 관리 성숙도를 측정하였고 둘째, 프로젝트 관리영역 중 범위관리와 원가관리의 계획 프로세스와 통제 프로세스간 성숙도를 비교 분석하였다. 연구 결과로 원가관리와 위험관리의 성숙도가 타 영역에 비해 낮아 개선의 노력이 필요하며, 범위정의 프로세스와 범위변경통제 프로세스간 프로젝트 관리 성숙도의 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 성과로는 프로젝트 관리 성숙도 측정과 분석을 통해 기업의 프로젝트 관리 성숙도 향상과 프로젝트 성과 및 기업 성과 향상에 기여하는데 있다.

Many studies have been published on the relationship between project management styles and project performance. In recent researches, it is argued that project management styles should be different based on project characteristics and these project characteristics may have an effect on the relationship between project management styles and project performance. However, there are few empirical studies covering these issues. In this study, we examined the effect of project characteristics (i.e., degree of newness) on the relationship between project management styles (i.e., team autonomy, internal and external communication, individualism orientation) and project performance. The empirical results using 78 government sponsored R&D projects showed that team autonomy has a stronger positive effect on project performance as project newness becomes higher. In addition, as project newness becomes higher, internal communication showed a stronger positive effect on project performance, while external communication had a stronger negative effect.

전통적으로 소프트웨어 프로젝트는 납기지연, 예산초과, 높은 결함율 등으로 타 산업분야의 프로젝트에 비해 매우 높은 실패율을 기록하고 있는 것으로 알려져 있다. 이 같은 소프트웨어 프로젝트의 실패원인에 대한 많은 연구결과는 소프트웨어가 갖고 있는 범위와 요구사항 정의의 어려움, 비가시성으로 인한 초기견적의 부정확성, 역시 가시성의 부족으로 진행상황파악의 어려움에 따른 진척관리의 애로, 더욱 큰 문제는 변경의 용이성과 변경에 대한 추적의 어려움 등을 지적하고 있다. 실패한 프로젝트들의 내용을 보면 대부분 계획의 부정확성이나 위험에 대한 대처의 부족 또는 진행 중 발생하는 변경에 대한 통제의 실패에서 찾아 볼 수 있다. 정확한 예측과 위험 예방 그리고 효과적인 통제대책이 소프트웨어 프로젝트를 성공으로 이끄는 3두 마차라는 지적이다. 정확한 예측의 핵은 프로젝트 산출물인 제품에 대한 정확한 규모측정에 있고, 위험 예방은 복잡도가 높거나 불확실성이 높은 컴포넌트의 자원소요에 대한 예측과 이에 대한 준비의 소홀에서 찾을 수 있으며, 효과적인 통제대책은 프로젝트 관리 프레임워크가 튼튼하지 못하거나 이의 준수를 위한 노력의 결핍에서 찾을 수 있을 것이다. 본 논문에서는 이 3두 마차 중 가장 근간이 되고 시발점이 되는 제품의 규모에 대한 예측에 초점을 맞추어 규모측정에 가장 합리적이고 객관적이며 실용성이 높다고 현재 국제적으로 높은 평가를 받고 있는 기능점수를 프로젝트 관리에 어떻게 활용해야 프로젝트를 성공시킬 수 있을 지의 방법에 대한 검토 결과를 제시고자 한다.

In construction industry, project performance should be evaluated in terms of project value objectives, i.e., cost, time, quality, safety, and environment. However, there have been few, if any, systematic approaches in assessing comprehensive performance level which encompasses the whole spectrum of project value objectives. It is non trivial to establish the standardized performance metric system due to the project individualities. This study provides a new approach in assessing the wide variety of project performance types by collecting the real industry project data. In addition, the proposed system has been validated through industry survey on project practitioners. It is concluded that the developed quantitative project performance measurement system would be effectively useful in indicating the level of current status of a particular project and furthermore, to provide a meaningful strategy for the future project in a more sustainable way.

Main concerns of IT project managements are concentrated on the output control and process management. IT project, however, is difficult to measure the quality of achievement, because it produces invisible and intangible outputs. Many studies have been carried on to quantify the intangible aspects of process management. However, most of them have been focused on the technological aspects. This study measures the priority of factors to manage IT project by applying the IT-BSC and PMBOK method. Established indexes include the factors of managerial, social and future-oriented perspectives to check the different aspects of project management over the technical factors. This study uses AHP method for quantitative measurement. This study can be meaningful because of following reasons. First, this study re-arranges IT project management evaluation indexes by balanced scorecard. Second, this model includes human factors of developers and users who are directly related to the project development and operation. Third, important items of each stakeholder have been separated, and the weights of each item have been quantified to have fixed values.

정보화가 기업 경쟁력의 핵심 요소로 부각되고 있으며 기업 및 정부기관은 앞 다투어 정보화에 투자하고 있는 상황이다. 정보시스템 개발 프로젝트도 이제는 대형 프로젝트 수가 급증하고 있다. 최근 소프트웨어 CMMi 수준에 관한 인증 여부는 기업 경쟁력의 핵심적인 요인으로 그 중요성이 날로 강조되고 있다. 또한 PMI의 PMBOK는 프로젝트 관리의 바이블 격으로 업종 업태를 불문하고 광범위하게 적용되고 있는 상황이다. 프로젝트 관리자의 관점에서 볼 경우 CMMi 모델과 PMBOK 모델간의 중첩되는 부분, CMMi 프로세스를 실적용 시 관리영역에 대한 혼선 부분, 또한 PMBOK 상위지침의 구체성 미흡 부분에 대한 통합 및 조정이 필요하게 되었다. 현재 상용되는 개발방법론에는 관리적인 요소가 매우 미약하고, 국내에 아직까지 체계적으로 정립된 관리방법론이 없는 상황이다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 프로젝트 관리자가 숙지해야 하는 프로젝트 관리영역, 프로젝트 관리단계, 제반 절차, 유관 정보시스템과의 연동(Interface) 등을 정보화 개발 프로젝트 생명주기(Life Cycle)에 맞춰 재구성 및 통합하여 프로젝트 관리자(Project Manager)에게 일관된 관점(Single Point of View)을 제시하여 프로젝트 생산성을 제고 하고자 한다.
