  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of consumers' fashion design evaluation factors on design value and brand loyalty. After confirming a research hypothesis, 247 people were selected as subjects for empirical analysis, and the results of the study are as follows. As a result of the analysis of 'the influence of consumer's fashion design evaluation factors on design value', the fashion design evaluation factors of 'convenience', 'social activity usefulness' and 'fashion ability' had an effect on the emotional design value. 'Convenience', 'functional usefulness', 'social activity usefulness', 'fashionableness' and 'aesthetic' factors affected the rational design value. 'Convenience', 'fashionableness', 'aesthetic' and 'psychological self-conformity' had a positive (+) effect on kinesthetic design values. As a result of the analysis of 'Influence of consumer's fashion design value on brand loyalty', 'emotional design value', 'rational design value' and 'kinesthetic design value' affect attitude brand loyalty, and 'emotional design value' and 'kinesthetic design value' affect brand loyalty. It was found that 'kinesthetic design value' has an effect on behavioral brand loyalty. As a result of the analysis of 'the effect of consumer attitude brand loyalty on behavioral brand loyalty', it was analyzed that attitude brand loyalty had a statistically significant positive (+) effect on behavioral brand loyalty.

  • This research examines the effects of perceived design personality on consumer responses such as attitude toward products and purchase intention. Furthermore, the study analyzes if the design typicality moderates the effects of design personality on consumer responses. The research results found that when consumers are exposed to a typical design, they are more likely to perceive sincerity and ruggedness at a higher level. On the other hand, consumers tend to perceive a higher level of excitement and sophistication, as they are exposed to the atypical design. Besides, competence and ruggedness have positive effects on buying intention in the case of a typical design, while sincerity, excitement, and sophistication have positive impacts on buying intention in the case of an atypical design. Lastly, competence and ruggedness are found to have positive impacts on design attitude more in the typical design than in the atypical design, whereas sophistication showed positive impacts on design attitude more in the atypical design than in the typical design. Additionally, competence has more influence on product buying intention in the typical design and excitement has more effect on it in the atypical design.

As human sensibility ergonomics which is recently signified In various fields is an attempt to quantitatively analyze factors of human sensibility and apply it to design operation, it can be apt for analyzing caf atmosphere. Employing human sensibility ergonomics this study examined issues to be considered for preferred caf interior design. The outcome of this study indicated that the most significant caf design factors are "'style', 'artificiality' and 'enjoyment'. It also suggested a design guideline by evaluating features of each factor. Constructing a successful interior design can be achieved by applying this design guideline.

  • Design took a radical turn in the 1980's, deconstructing the rigid ideology of the Modernism, often with great humor. Contemporary representable Avant-garde designers, Philippe Starck and Ron Arad brazenly borrowed from the 'historical elements' of previous styles and created bio-morphic forms with whimsical names of furniture. This study is proposed to understand the diversity of contemporary design, by comparing these two furniture designers. It also covers the common factors in contemporary furniture design, and analyzes their individual differences and similarities in design. It helps to plan the foundation of design methods for 21C, and predict and respond to the future as a reference point. Philippe Starck links Romantic Rationalism within Minimal style and Ron Arad links Deconstructivism within High-tech style but both of them pursue of Organic concept design in their furniture through the concept of humanism. They are able to establish a base of contemporary furniture design by adapting new conceptual form, and design process for the general public.

  • Service design refers to an activity to design a user's service experience and a design area for professionally executing it. In order to design services from the people's point of view away from the supplier-oriented policy decisions in the past, the recent public participation business model using the service design methodology is increasing. In particular, the Ministry of Public Administration and Security formed the 'National Design Team' in 2014 to design services from the perspective of the public throughout the policy process. The public participatory policy model is being operated in which the public as policy consumers, service designers and public officials as suppliers participate in the overall policy process to develop and develop public services through service design techniques. This study is meaningful in that it presented the developmental direction of the actual project site through the case of the National Design Team sign improvement project with the goal of establishing a regional revitalization strategy using the service design methodology. However, as this study is about the current project, verification of the application of future project sites and user satisfaction evaluation have not been conducted. When the project is completed in the future, it is necessary to conduct a project satisfaction survey targeting consumers.

  • The progress made by scientific development achieved the goal for making human environment convenient and functional. However, it also caused excessive expanse of artificial environment, which in turn produced undesirable segregation between human and nature. Recently we frequently see ecological space designs which try to be synchronized with nature not only in technological terms, but also in psychological terms. This paper examines various viewpoints for ecological space design. First, it studies philosophical backgrounds of ecological space design through comparative analysis between eastern and western ideas of nature. Then it classifies the types of viewpoints for ecological space design with supporting explanations from scientific proofs. Finally, it provides case analyses for each of these views. This research aims at proving the value of ecological space design so that it can guide future direction of space design toward reestablishing the organic relationship between human and nature.

Among them, carpets made of various materials and technologies are becoming popular interior item. Academic and industrial sectors agreed on the need to produce premium design carpets. Prior research on carpet design was mostly focused on patterns, history, with insufficient investigations on the type. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to provide basic data to develop premium design carpets by analyzing their expression types. To analyze expression types, this study covered about 400 design carpets surveyed on the websites of eight major carpet companies from January 2021 to March 2021. Based on the analysis results, the five expression types of are as follows. Firstly, the expression type was expressed in various atypical forms that was deviated from the formal form. Secondly, it was a type that improves visual and tactile effects through a variety of 3-D textures. Thirdly, it was a type of diversification of motifs, which was based on the works of artists and designers in various fields. Fourthly, it was a type that combines two or more different materials and techniques. Finally, it was a modular type that can be applied in various ways to various spaces. Based on the analysis results of this study, it is hoped that the data will be helpful to produce premium design carpets in Korea.
