The Perception and Preference of Americans Residing in Korea Traditional Food (한국전통음식에 대한 주한 미국인의 인식 및 기호도 조사)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the perception and preference of Americans residing in Korea for Korean traditional food. Out of 250 questionnaires, 95 respondents were taken. Most of the respondents (96.8%) were experienced in eating Korean food in Korea and 66.3% of them were experienced in eating Korean food in other countries except Korea. On the appearance and color of Korean flood,94.8% and 93.7% of the respondents answered for earth that it was 'Good'. Most of the respondents (95.7%) had much interest in Korean flood. Nevertheless they proposed the improvement in hot and strongly spiced Korean food. The following Korean foods; bibimbap, bulgogi, kalbigui, samgetang, and chapchae were preferred by most Americans. The preference on 11 korean traditional foods was significantly different in gender, age, and period of residence at p<0.05. This study suggests that we need to develop the sauce and seasoning which is suitable for foreigner's taste to improve the popularity of Korean foods. And we also know that foreigners have the trends to avoid selecting the food item which is unknown for them. Therefore, we need to add the information about Korean food ingredient and the cooking method which is not familiar with foreigners on the menu.

IP Paging Architecture Using Distance-based Location Update Scheme (거리기반 위치등록 방법을 이용한 IP망에서의 페이징 지원 방안)

  • Due to the growth of mobile communication and the popularization of Internet, it is expected that wired and wireless communication network of the next generation will be integrated and flourished with IP-based. There have been a great deal of research efforts to provide mobile IP service onthe existing lower layer. The location update and the paging scheme is one of the most challenging technical issues for this topic. In this thesis, a paging method based on the distance-based location update scheme is proposed for IP network to support mobility in layer 3. The proposed scheme is implemented and verified with the OPNET.

A Study of Performance Improvement of Internet Application Traffic Identification using Flow Correlation (플로우 상관관계를 통한 인터넷 응용 트래픽 분석의 성능 향상에 관한 연구)

  • As network traffic is dramatically increasing due to the popularization of Internet, the need for application traffic identification becomes important for the effective use of network resources. In this paper, we present an Internet application traffic identification method based on flow correlation to overcome limitation of signature-based identification methods and to improve performance (completeness) of it. The proposed method can identify unidentified flows from signature-based method using flow correlation between identified and unidentified flows. We propose four separate correlation methods such as Server-Client, Time, Host-Host, and Statistic correlation and describe a flow correlation-based identification system architecture which incorporates the four separate methods. Also we prove the feasibility and applicability of our proposed method by an acceptable experimental result.

  • These days, smart phones are being widely used and accordingly, a larger number of consumers have become interested in them, thus many applications are being developed with a variety of forms. There are various fields in it, such as multimedia, games, information and education, as per users' disposition and characteristics. As for the current contents for language education in mobile environment, the market is dominated by contents for learning foreign language such as English, Japanese and Chinese, while contents for educating Korean language are minuscule. In this paper, thus, we design and implement a elementary Korean language educational contents for foreign beginners who can use the contents at their smart phones with Android OS.

  • 최근 온라인 마케팅 트렌드는 개인화된 서비스의 제공이다. 인터넷 환경의 대중화와 SNS(Social Networking Service), 모바일 환경의 보급으로 사용자는 쉽게 정보에 노출된다. 이런 환경에서 웹사이트나 애플리케이션, SNS에 대해 사용자의 패턴과 관심사를 분석하여 개인화된 서비스를 제공하게 된다. 데이터 분석은 빅 데이터 환경으로 분석되며 이렇게 분석된 개인화 정보는 사용자와 연관성이 높은 정보를 노출함으로 인해 효율적인 정보의 소비와 더불어 마케팅 효과를 누릴 수 있고, 온라인 서비스나 애플리케이션 제공자에게 사용자도 모르게 제공된 개인의 정보 소비 패턴으로 나타내어진다. 현재 널리 사용되고 있는 서버에 저장된 개인화 데이터는 보안적으로 해킹에 취약할 수 있고, 관리하는 서비스 제공자에게 있어서도 유지보수에 비용이 발생함과 동시에 사용자의 개인정보를 과도하게 수집하게 되는 우려가 나타난다. 개인화 서비스 제공의 단점을 극복하고자 HTML5 Local-Storage 기능을 사용하여 브라우저 환경에서 웹 기반 서비스를 이용하는 사용자의 정보이용 패턴을 저장하여 데이터를 사용자 측면의 저장소에 보관함으로 보다 안전하고 적은 비용으로 개인화 서비스를 제공할 수 있다.

Study on Improvement of Marina and Marine Leisure Service (국내 마리나항만 서비스 개선방안 연구)

  • This study analyzes the operating conditions of domestic marinas in response to changes in marine leisure trends and demand for recreational boats, and suggests ways to improve services according to the types and functions of marinas. In order to popularize marine leisure and to foster coastal and marine tourism industry, the 'Act on the Development, Management, etc. of Marinas' was enacted in 2010 and 'The 1st Marina Basic Plan' was established, and more than 34 marinas are operated nationwide. In order for domestic marinas to be used as an infrastructure for marine leisure activities, measures for enhancing service functions should be prepared in accordance with the size and characteristics of marinas. It is also necessary to improve facilities for marine leisure management and tourist convenience.

  • This paper aims to develop a VR device prototype for reducing eye fatigue. As VR devices become popular, it is hoped that many cases of eye fatigue will be reported, and that the problems of VR devices will be corrected and repaired for a better future so that the fast speed and dynamic environment of 4th industrial revolution can be enjoyed with ease. In this paper, VR devices with a description of VR devices, eye fatigue related cases, time-out sensor for reducing eye fatigue, and eyeball massage functions were designed, and a VR device prototype was developed. These features can help reduce fatigue even if used for long periods of time by blocking electromagnetic waves harmful to the human body, and the future of VR could develop in the future.

  • Despite many discussions on the metaverse, there has been little concrete evidence and predictions about how firms use the metaverse, what determines firm competitiveness, and who will lead the industry. This paper attempts to answer these questions by conducting and examining a custom-designed survey of employees serving in the metaverse business. The survey results indicate that firms do not have strategic models for metaverse business yet, but they will become more affordable and widely used in the next three to five years. It is expected that many firms would coexist in the contents area, while the influence of global companies and large domestic companies with market dominance will be significant in the platform and software area.

  • Since online shopping has become common, people can easily buy fashion goods anytime, anywhere. Therefore, consumers quickly respond to various environmental variables such as weather and sales prices. Therefore, utilizing big data for efficient inventory management has become very important in the fashion industry. In this paper, the changes in sales volume of fashion goods due to changes in temperature is analyzed via the proposed big data analysis algorithm by utilizing actual big data from Korean fashion company 'A'. According to the simulation results, it was confirmed that Bidirectional-LSTM(Bi-LSTM) compared to LSTM(Long Short-Term Memory) takes more simulation time about more than 50%, but the prediction accuracy of non-periodic time series data such as clothing product sales data is the same.

  • 건강에 대한 관심이 증대되고 있고 이를 만족시키기 위해 한의학과 IT와의 융합을 통한 기술 발전은 필수 불가결한 요소가 되어가고 있다. 최근 한의학의 대중화 및 발전을 위해 여러 방면으로 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 한의학의 진단법인 4진법 중 가장 뛰어난 망진에 대한 연구의 일환으로 망진의 찰색을 위하여 색 분석을 행하기 위한 영상 획득 환경 중 스트로브 조명을 사용한 색 보정의 효율성을 확인하기 위해 연구를 진행 하였다. 영상 획득 시 다양한 환경에 처할 수 있으므로 스트로브 조명을 통한 일반화 된 실험 환경의 조성이 가능할 수도 있고 혹은 조명이 부족한 상태에서의 보충적인 재료로써의 활용이 가능하기 때문이며 획득된 영상에 색 보정을 실시하여 색 재현성의 효율성을 실제 색 분석을 통해 비교, 분석을 행하였다.
