Effect of Always Being on Call after Work-hour on Conflict between Work and Life Balance: Mediating Effect of Job Insecurity (IT업계 종사자들의 업무시간 외 상시연결성이 일과 삶의 갈등에 미치는 영향: 직무불안정성의 매개효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between always being on call and the conflict factors between work and life balance among employees' in the IT relative industry. The results are as follows: always being on call factor perceived by employees' in the IT relative industry influences to conflict factor between work and life balance. Moreover, always being on call factor negatively effects on all factors of job insecurity which are impotent feeling and possibility of job loss. From the analysis of relation between job insecurity and conflict between life and work balance showed that the factor of impotent feeling influence on conflict between life and work balance while the factor of job loss does not. In addition, job insecurity(impotent feeling and possibility of job loss) partially mediated between always being on call and the conflict factors between work and life balance among employees' in the IT relative industry.

Determinants of IT Industry Employees' Intent to Leave (IT업계 종사자들의 이직의도 결정요인)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the determinants of intent to leave among IT industry employees, based on the Price's structural model of employee turnover. The sample used in this study were composed of 370 employees from 10 IT firms located in Seoul and Gyeonggi-Do. Data were collected with self-administered questionnaires and analyzed using structural equation modelling technique. This study found that four task reward variables(job variety, job autonomy, job challenge, and role ambiguity), two social reward variables (supervisory support and coworker support), three organizational reward variables(promotional chances, job security, and distributive justice) and one environmental variable(job opportunity), had significant effects on IT industry employees' intent to leave in terms of total effects and his directions of those significant effects were consistent with theoretical predictions; and that two mediating variables, job satisfaction and organizational commitment had the most important effects on IT industry employees' intent to leave in terms of total effects. The theoretical and practical implications of the research findings were discussed and the directions for future research were suggested.

  • Various applications are developed with the extension of the smart phone market. This affects the change of contents and market for mobile advertisement. Mobile advertisement has been changed from the text type in feature phone environment to banner type which are added on the applications and branded app which are application itself for commercials. This research shows the difference in views between users and professions for the factors which affects the acceptance of mobile advertisement in smart phone environment. The analysis results present two groups have significant differences in the views for the users' acceptances of mobile advertisement. This research provides the important factors which need to be considers in creating mobile commercials. It also suggests that professions in advertisement field have to consider the aspects of smart phone users when they create advertisements in smart phone environment.

  • This study investigates the factors of job stress from working environment of employees' in the IT relative industry and explore its effects on both job involvement and affective commitment. 15 companies and individuals(IT freelancers) working in Seoul and Gyeonggi Provence were chosen for this study. Data were collected for 4 weeks from May 27 to June 28, 2019. A total of 400 employees' were attended in this research and finally 352 samples were used for the empirical analysis. The result of this study showed that 'role ambiguity' factor and 'role conflict' factor among the job stress factors influence on job involvement. Moreover, all factors(overload, role ambiguity, role conflict) among job stress influence on affective commitment.

In-depth Study on the Turnover and Stress of Fashion Industry Workers in Their 20s-30s (20~30대 패션업계 종사자들의 이직과 스트레스에 대한 심층연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to conduct an in-depth examination into the cause of stress as well as reasons for turnover relative to fashion industry workers in their 20s-30s, thereby seeking effective improvement methods to reduce turnover. The study method consisted of one-on-one in-depth interviews to collect data on 15 fashion industry workers. Results were as follow. First, causes of stress for fashion industry workers in their 20s-30s include work related factors, interpersonal relations, and organizational culture, while the most frequently mentioned reasons for turnover were concerns about career track and aptitude as well as annual salary, revealing that self-improvement related growth potential is the most significant factor for turnover. Second, it was not one stress factor that influenced turnover but a composite of several stress factors that motivated individuals to change jobs. Last, time flexibility, self-esteem, and development potential were critical factors for turnover. Self-esteem and development potential that provide a sense of acknowledgment were especially emphasized as the most significant, revealing that the younger generation considers personal happiness to be critical and the more this aspect is not treated adequately the more the odds of choosing turnover. To mitigate this issue, an in-house educational system for self-development and an assignment rotation system must be adopted for workers to change to positions that fit their aptitude.

The Exploratory Study for the Application of the Sports Field in the Fourth Industrial Revolution: Focus on the Social Big Data (4차 산업혁명의 스포츠 현장 적용을 위한 탐색적 연구: 소셜 빅데이터 활용 방안을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to introduce the case and to provide related information for the physical education major to handle and utilize the social big data through the exploratory study for the application of sports industry in the fourth industrial revolution. For this study, data was collected from the article database, which covers the keyword such as 'Social Big Data', 'Sports' and so on. The analyzed articles were 86 articles. As a results, The research on social big data applied to sports industry are as follows: 1) Analysis of major issues related to sports fans' interests and sports events, 2) A study on media sports engagement, 3) The prediction analysis of sports game based on the sentiment analysis, 4) Development of salary estimation model for professional player in sports, 5) Research trend analysis and so on. In conclusion, the social big data analysis technology in the sports industry and management can be utilized variously. Therefore, the specialists of the sports industry and management field need to learn the techniques, to acquire the know-how for the research project, to convert the convergence thinking.

  • It is important to maintain information by application or 3D modeling through the satellite and UAV image which is a real world. The prevention business has recognized the need for accurate 3-D geospatial information around the disaster region to identify objects to 3D modeling. In this paper, we presented an approach to create 3D model and loading, processing the image using GIS techniques, and the digital topographic maps were used for the DEM and the features of the area. The result is a implementation of the simple application that illustrates the objects in 3-D. The presented approach will be used for identifying objects and assisting in regional planning around the airfields.

  • Despite many discussions on the metaverse, there has been little concrete evidence and predictions about how firms use the metaverse, what determines firm competitiveness, and who will lead the industry. This paper attempts to answer these questions by conducting and examining a custom-designed survey of employees serving in the metaverse business. The survey results indicate that firms do not have strategic models for metaverse business yet, but they will become more affordable and widely used in the next three to five years. It is expected that many firms would coexist in the contents area, while the influence of global companies and large domestic companies with market dominance will be significant in the platform and software area.
