ISO 9000 is a management standard that provides customers with assurance thu their registered suppliers have a consistent quality system to which they adhere. this paper draws on four sources to show how ISO 9000 can lead to performance improvement. 1)theories of induces innovation and improvisation 2) the literature on ISO 9000 3) a case study of a telecom company. we find that the extent to which ISO 9000 is associated with performance improvement depends on the level of its assimilation, and the degree to which an organization goes beyond the minimal requirements of the standard.

ISO 9000 series, as quality management system that assesses quality system based on the documentation such as quality manual, documented procedures, specification is properly operated and then decides to give a certification, is a screening documented system that includes factors which may influence quality. Therefore, to have a proper documented system and its performance accordant to it is very important to the company which hopes to acquire the certification of ISO 9000 series. So, the objectives of this paper are to increase the efficiency of the work by cutting down efforts necessary to establish and revise documented procedures for the certification of the ISO 9000 series in the company using the documentation system.

Up to the present, ISO 9000 series have contributed which construction of quality management system and improvement of quality competition. Therefore many enterprises have taken an increasing interest in ISO 9000 series and the number certification of it is on the increase every year. In these processes, the side effect has come out. It is of no use to competitive power of enterprise. Because they made an effort for certification without preparation for a short period or there was no continuous system control. In this paper, We review the weakness of existing ISO 9000 series, which have soon ahead of revision. In addition, We propose the considering items or contents in revision for enterprise competition power.

This article introduces definition and theoretical background of the managing records for ISO 9000 compliance, especially, quality record management and describes the method of establishing efficient system for the control of quality records in engineering corporation. To establish the best control system of quality records, the organization must not only understand ISO Code requirements for quality record completely but also identify the documents to be controlled as a quality records correctly. This will provide the guidance which need to establish the system for quality control to the organization which produces documents in accordance with ISO Code requirements.

This study deals with a case analysis on the implementation of ISO 9000/14000 Integrated Management System. The intention is to provide some general guidelines, in particular, to small-to-medium-sized companies that are planning to introduce the Integrated Management System. First we briefly review each of the ISO 9000 series, ISO 14000 series and Integrated Management System. We then investigate the case of a small-sized company that have built and is successfully operating the Integrated Management System. We start with introducing the company, and then examine the background and the procedure for implementing the Integrated Management System. We investigate effects of the Integrated Management System, which are the main focus of this paper. This study is meaningful in that, to our best knowledge, it is the first field report appearing in the literature in regard to the actual implementation of ISO 9000/14000 Integrated Management System in Korea.

The primary objective of this research is to provide the basis of total quality management policies by reviewing previous studies which investigated effective ways to reduce product liability exposure. Specifically, the present study intends (1) to examine recent patterns and trends of product liability law in OECD countries, (2) to propose quality management policies for preventing product liability litigations, and (3) to guide the proper implementation process of ISO 9000 certification programs. The survey results show that the shift from a negligence law theory to strict liability is evident in most countries. The trend has led to make it easier for consumers to bring product liability lawsuits. Furthermore, the damage awards won by consumers have been drastically increasing. To minimize product liability exposure, manufactures should reflect comprehensive product safety concepts in establishing total quality management policies. Cooperative activities are also required between departments in companies to reach safe and satisfactory quality level. These quality management activities should be performed consistently during the total product life cycle. Failure to comply with the ISO 9000 certifications might be used as an evidence of negligence or as evidence of a design defect in court. Previous lawsuit cases, however, reveal that ISO 9001-9003 registration process alone is not sufficient in terms of product liability pervention perspectives. Therefore, manufactures should take into account ISO 9004 before implementing any other section of ISO 9000 standards.

The original purpose to introduce the system for quality certification by ISO 9000 series to our nation is basically promote the civilization interchanges among the various nations. we can't help regarding that the free trade is well performed to only a party and region to an agreement, but existed the possibility of being taken advantage of a means to the exclusive limiting import on the other regions. Under the considering the above situation, this study suggest that, the usuable policies of our domestic manufacturing corporations for acquiring the certification for the quality assurance of ISO 9000 series are as followings : 1) Using the civil and national diplomatic channel for the mutual assurance among the authorized agency of certification. 2) Gradually decreasing the difference between ISO 9000 and our nation in quality certification and solving the some problems as organizing the related research center. 3) In the post management of certified corporations, intentionally performing by using the authorized national agency from the ISO Headquarter and continuously reforming the related laws and regulations standardizing around the ISO series.
