Research results show (1) there are two dimensions characterizing Korean IS practitioners : 'project -operation' and 'product-orientation-strategic-orientation', (2) there are two distinctive and main career paths of Korean IS practitioners : generalists who support using information systems in the context of operation and specialists who are engaged in software development or improvement projects, and (3) Korean IS practitioners are experiencing serious and pervasive knowledge and skill deficiencies. Research results also provide clear evidence that Korean universities fail to provide eligible entry-level software developers and that the shortage of eligible entry-level software developers distorts both IS specialists' careers and knowledge and skill requirements for them.

This research identifies the most important domains in health care administration from now to the year 2005 and differentiates job skill, konwledge, and ability requirements necessary for successful management. Fellows of the Korean Hospital Association from about thirteen percents of the country responded to mail inquiry. Five of eleven domains, in order of ranked importance, were health care delivery concepts, leadership characteristics, quality management, cost/finance and human resources management. Results indicated that while a business orientation is needed for organizational survival, and equal emphasis on person-oriented skills, knowledge, and abilities is required.

본 논문에서는 교수와 학생들에게 '신규 IS 실무자들이 그들의 직무를 성공적으로 수행하기 위해서 각 IS 지식과 소프트웨어/IT 전문 기술을 얼마나 필요로 할 것인가'에 대해 설문 조사를 시행하고, 그 결과를 IS 지식과 소프트웨어/IT 전문 기술의 필요성에 대한 IS 실무자들과 IS 실무자 채용 담당자들의 인식과 비교하였다. 분석 결과는 학생과 교수는 매우 유사한, 그리고 다른 집단과는 뚜렷이 구별되는 인식을 공유하고 있다는 것을 보여 준다. 분석 결과는 또한 두 집단 모두 여러 유형의 지식과 기술 간의 중요도의 차이를 뚜렷이 인식하고 있지 못하며, 과거의 MIS 환경에서, 시스템 운영과 소규모의 개발 및 보수유지 업무를 주로 하던 전산요원에 가까운 인식을 갖고 있다는 것을 보여준다. 분석 결과는 이러한 점이 최근의 전문화된 대규모 프로젝트 환경 하에서 작업할 수 있는 소프트웨어 개발 전문가의 육성과 한국 소프트웨어 산업의 발전을 저해하는 가장 중요한 요인 중의 하나라는 것을 시사한다.

기존의 많은 연구자들이 프로그래머, 시스템분석가, 그리고 IT 관리자와 같은 정보인력에게 요구되는 지식과 스킬에 대하여 조사하고 연구하였다. 이러한 연구결과가 급변하는 정보기술에 대한 이해를 도왔을 뿐만 아니라, 정보기술관련 종사자들이 경력을 준비하는데 있어서도 도움을 주었다. 하지만, 웹 개발자와 같은 새로운 직업에 대해서는 거의 연구가 이루어지지 않았다. 본 연구는 인터넷에 게재된 구인광고를 수집하여 분석함으로써 웹 개발자에게 요구되는 지식과 스킬을 살펴보았다. 웹 개발에 대한 구체적인 기술적(technical) 요구사항은 Java나 JSP와 같은 프로그래밍 언어와 데이터베이스, 인터넷/웹에 관한 지식/스킬이었다. 비즈니스(business) 영역에서는 프로젝트 관리와 관련한 지식/스킬과 일반적인 관리능력이 주로 요구되었고, 시스템(system) 영역에서는 개발에 관한 지식/스킬이 높게 요구되었고, 정보기술에 대한 보편적인 지식도 요구되었다. 연구의 결과는 웹 개발에 필요한 다양한 지식과 스킬을 이해하는데 도움을 줄 것으로 기대한다.

The National Competency Standards(NCS) has been developed a good curriculum to reflect the demand in the industry. NCS is defined as systemizing the knowledge, skill, and attitude required to perform a task in the industry. It is an effort to reduce the gap between educational requirements and occupational requirements. However, when NCS is applied, the task level is changed to the title of qualification according to the policy outcomes for the government project. And, the NCS has been emphasizing the purpose of license acquisition, rather than using the standard for tasks in the industry. It means that the misuse of NSC hinders utilizing it as the original purpose of standardizing a task. It requires the customer to study the required competency unit with a no-choice option. Moreover, it makes it hard for companies or industry autonomically run the NCS. Therefore, we define the operational range in terms of the education field, the qualification field, and the career field to diffuse and apply NCS, and suggest the effective utilization method.

IT의 융합과 함께 시작된 새로운 천년을 맞이하면서 도서관 전문직은 새로운 변화에 적응하기 위해 지속적으로 기술개발과 평생학습을 위한 노력을 해야 하는 상황에 직면하고 있다. 이 논문은 인도의 도서관계에서 이러한 상황에서 실무와 교육을 위한 전문지식과 기술을 지속적으로 새로이 하기 위해 마련하고 있는 최신의 프로그램과 활동들을 분석하였다. 특히 이 논문에서는 인도가 가지고 있는 조직적인 인프라와 문헌정보학의 교육과 연구, 실무에 응용할 수 있는 새로운 분야들에 대해 집중적으로 살펴보았다. 이러한 프로그램과 이를 통해 얻은 잠재적인 능력들은 인도는 물론 서아시아를 포함한 인근국가의 프로그램개발과 인프라구축, 나아가서는 인력개발을 위한 협력에도 도움이 될 것이다.

The Korea Electric Power Research Institute (KEPRI) has developed performance demonstration programs for non-destructive testing personnel who analyze ECT(eddy current testing) data for steam generator tubing since 2001 The purpose of these performance demonstration programs is to ensure a uniform knowledge and skill level of data analysts and contribute to safe operation of nuclear power plants. Many changes have occurred in non-destructive testing of steam generator tubing such as inspection scope, plugging criteria and qualification requirements. According to the Notice 2004-13 revised by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), the analyst for steam generator tubing shall be qualified as the qualified data analyst (QDA), and the site specific performance demonstration (SSPD) program shall be implemented. KEPRI developed these performance demonstration programs and they are being successfully implemented. The analyst's performance is expected to be improved by the implementation of these programs.

E-business curriculum needs to be developed reflecting requirements of the industry which involve a close relation with a job performed in the field, and a professional knowledge and an expert skill. In this paper, we present a method based on a market-oriented approach for developing an I-business curriculum. For the purpose, we analyze the opinion data resulting from the surveyed opinions of respondents working for I-business companies and evaluate the importance of each course being involved in the curriculum with respect to the job classification (e.g., Web planner, Web master, Web programmer, Web marketer, Web designer, Web PD), and then, complete a flow diagram considering precedence and relative difficulty among the selected courses. The E-business curriculum developed by the proposed method is useful to provide guidelines for determining courses required toward a desired job and for making a partial amendment of the curriculum.

본 연구는 복합운송주선업에 종사하는 물류관리자들이 갖추어야 할 기술 및 자격요건이 무엇인지 파악하고, 기업 내 각 자격요건들의 관리수준을 파악하기 위해 복합운송업체들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 선행연구와 전문가집단과의 토의를 거쳐 자격요건 항목들을 추출하여 4개 그룹(물류공통, 물류전략, 물류운영, 물류기술)로 분류하였고, 추출된 항목들을 평가하기 위해 신뢰성, 요인분석, IPA(Importance-Performance Analysis)분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 복합운송주선업 물류관리자의 자격요건들 중, 고객지향성, 책임감, 의사결정능력, 의사소통능력, 물류전체프로세스 이해 등이 중요한 것으로 밝혀졌다. 둘째, 항목별 관리수준은 복장, 성실성, 외국어구사능력, 성취지향성, 고객 지향성 순으로 나타났다. 셋째, 자격요건들의 중요도와 관리수준을 비교한 결과, 복장, 성실성, 외국어구사능력, 성취지향성, 학력수준, 문서작성 능력 등이 중요도에 비해 비중 있게 관리되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 넷째, 의사소통능력, 물류원가 수익성분석, 물류컨설팅, 프레젠테이션, 다양한 업무파악능력 등은 그 중요도에 비해 상대적으로 낮은 수준의 관리를 받고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 향후 이 항목들을 배양할 수 있도록 물류관리자들을 독려해야 할 것으로 생각한다. 본 연구의 결과는 복합운송주선업에 근무하는 물류관리자 뿐 아니라 향후 복합운송주선업계로 진출하기를 희망하는 미래의 물류인, 물류를 전공하는 학생들, 이들을 지도하는 학자들 그리고 복합운송주선업에 진출을 계획하는 기업에게 유용한 정보가 될 것이라고 사료된다.

본 연구는 물류관리자들이 갖추어야할 기술 및 자격요건이 무엇인지 파악하기 위해 중국에 진출해 있는 국내기업의 물류관리자들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 조사에 사용할 총 43개의 항목을 문헌연구 및 전문가집단과의 토의를 거쳐 추출하였고, 요인분석을 통해 이 항목들을 특성별로 4개의 그룹으로 분류하여 연구에 사용하였다. 조사 결과, 공급체인에 관한 인식정도, 의사결정능력, 분석능력, 의사소통스킬, 공급체인의 비용에 관한 지식, 대인관계기술, 정보흐름의 통합능력 등을 포함하는 물류계획그룹의 항목들이 가장 중요한 물류관리자의 자격요건인 것으로 밝혀졌다. 반면, 회수물류의 기술이나 환경관련 법규의 파악정도 등이 포함된 환경인식그룹의 항목들은 그 중요도가 가장 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 전체적으로는 요인분석 결과 선택된 총 23개 항목 중 물류관리자들의 업무에 유의한 영향을 주는 것으로 밝혀진 것은 14개로 전체의 61% 정도였다. 본 연구의 결과는 물류업계로 진출하기 희망하는 미래의 물류인, 물류를 전공하고 있는 학생들, 이들을 지도하는 학자들 그리고 중국시장 진출을 계획하는 기업들에게 흥미로운 정보를 제공할 것으로 생각한다. 기업의 입장에서는 상위에 랭크된 요건들을 갖추고 있는 관리자들을 중국으로 파견할 수 있을 뿐 아니라 기업 내 교육훈련프로그램의 가이드라인으로 활용할 수도 있을 것이다. 또한, 현재 혹은 잠재적 물류관리자들이 자신들의 경쟁력을 향상시키기 위해 어떤 부분에 노력을 경주해야 하는지 판단하는 데에도 도움이 될 것으로 생각한다.
