한·중 현직교사교육 비교 (Comparison of incumbent teacher education in Korea and China)

  • 본 연구는 한·중 현직교사교육의 목적, 내용, 모형에 대한 비교를 통하여 서로의 차이점과 공통점을 알아보는 데에 있다. 그 차이점과 공통점을 통하여 양국 현직교사교육에 대한 계시 점을 제시하도록 한다. 연구결과는 중국에서 교사의 도덕 교육과 과목지식을 중시하며 한국은 교사의 문화 역량, 전공 지식을 중시하는 것, 구체적인 연수 내용과 이수 시간 모두 정확하게 규정되어 있는 것 등이 있다. 연구력과를 바탕으로 중국 측에게 개인중심으로 진행하는 연수 지원, 한국 측에게 교육연수기관 간 협력 체제 내실화 등 계시 점을 제시하도록 하였다.

  • Isik & K$_1$l$_1$c (1998: Mathematics Education and its Appraising in the Primary School Teacher Certificate) found that many prospective mathematics teachers for primary schools who attended at newly established certificate programs made significant misconception on mathematics education because they were not graduates of education faculties. The levels of conceptual knowledge and procedural knowledge of students from a secondary school in Erzurum, Turkey were investigated in order to reveal how serious misconception the teachers have been made so far. The conceptual knowledge is very important to students, however in this research, it was found that procedural knowledge was much more important than conceptual knowledge.

Dynamic analysis of a cylindrical boom based on Miura origami

  • The dynamic behavior of the deployment and folding process of a foldable boom based on the Miura origami pattern is investigated in this paper. Firstly, mechanical behavior of a single storey during the motion is studied numerically. Then the deployment and folding of a multi-storey boom is discussed. Moreover, the influence of the geometry parameters and the number of Miura-ori elements n on the dynamic behavior of the boom is also studied. Finally, the influence of the imperfection on the dynamic behavior is investigated. The results show that the angles between the diagonal folds and horizontal folds will have great effect on the strains during the motion. A bistable configuration can be obtained by choosing proper fold angles for a given multi-storey boom. The influence of the imperfection on the folding behavior of the foldable mast is significant.

간호교육 성과 측정 도구의 탐색 (Exploratory Study on Scales of Nursing Education Outcome)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify and evaluate outcome measurement scales of nursing education such as communication, professionalism, leadership, and critical thinking. Methods: A methodological study design was used to evaluate the reliability and validity of the scales. Survey was done to the students (n=407) enrolled in baccalaureate nursing schools. Using convenience sampling method, we tried to include all grades of students. Internal consistency, convergent validity and group comparison were used to evaluate the reliability and validity of the scales. Results: All scales were reliable and valid. Only convergent validity of the scale to measure critical thinking was relatively low. It suggested that critical thinking skill and disposition might be measured separately. Also it was inefficient to measure the nursing education outcomes with separate scales. Conclusions: It is recommended to develop a new integrative scale to measure nursing education outcomes. Also it is necessary to set the norm of nursing students to evaluate nursing education outcomes for the quality control of nursing education.

미국과 영국 정보전문직 교육 현황의 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study on the Present Education for Information Professionals in the U.S.A. and the U.K.)

  • 대학의 교육과 전문직 단체의 시험이라는 상이한 제도로 출발한 미국과 영국의 석사과정 정보전문직 교육의 현황을 비교하는 것이다. 비교의 대상은 교육과 관련된 전문직 단체의 역할, 교육 기관과 학위의 명칭, 교과과정, 그리고 최근의 경향이다. 연구는 문헌조사 방법과 전문직 단체와 교육기관 홈페이지의 내용 분석으로 수행되었다. 연구의 결과로 나타난 상이함과 유사함에 대한 설명과 이것을 근거로 우리의 사서직 교육에 대한 제안을 하였다.

직관과 구술반복을 활용한 공학교육 사례 연구 (A Case Study on Engineering Education using Intuition and Verbal Repetition)

  • Applying intuitive learning method on engineering education, especially for the mechanical engineering, is hardly found from the previous case studies and is not easily proved its beneficial verification. Verbal repetition is also rarely used to investigate its positive effects on educational methodology for both science and engineering disciplines. To prove the education effects of these two methods; we used intuitive thinking time period at the beginning of each lecture and let students repeat the concepts and the equations verbally. These two methods were related to the subjects of each lecture, and were used for students to try to draw engineering thinking from natural phenomena that they could easily experience in daily life. The methods could help them to memorize theoretical ideas. We investigated the effects of intuition and verbal repetition methods by comparing the scores of final exam with those of midterm exam. The results revealed significant improvement; 77.6% of the students achieved higher score in their final exam compared to midterm exam. We plan to investigate qualitative contributions of intuition and verbal repetition methods to the students' achievement for the further research.

중등학교 가정교과 교사의 직무연수 운영 실태 및 인식 조사 - 강원도 지역을 중심으로- (A Survey on the Actual Administrating Condition and Teacher′s Recognition on the In-service Training of Home Economics Education in the Secondary School - Centering around Kangwon Province-)

  • The purpose of this research is intended to analyze the actual condition of in-service training for the teachers who teach Home Economics Education in the middle and high school and to survey their viewpoints on the actual condition of the in-service training. So I could find the effective ways on the in-service training by finding many kinds of needs and improvements on the basis of present problems in the Home Economics Education. The research results are as follows : 1. This research indicated that most teachers answered that the most proere significant per time of the in-service training was the school vacations(49.5%). 63.4% of the teachers answered that the present 60 hours on the question of how many hours are appropriate is proper. On the question of what the most proper cycle for the educational training is. 47.2% of the teachers answered that the present 3-year cycle is appropriate. 35% of them supported the selecting system for the trainee according to the experienced or non-experienced for the up-to-date in-service training. And 35% of them answered that the speakers for the training program must be the experienced teachers in education. In the contents of the training program. many teacher insisted that the percentage of the text for the major should be raised(49.6%). According to the survey about the teaching and learning methods and evaluation. teachers were satisfied with the levels of satisfaction on the teaching and learning methods in 65.1%. This survey indicated that teacher preferred the discussion and case study(35.9%). the practice-centered class(29.3%) and the on-the-spot study(20.9%) in order on the teaching methods. In terms of the educational environment. 56.9% of the teachers answered the number of trainee is too many and they suggested that the proper number of trainee is about 20∼30. 2. This research showed that the most important problem of this training system was the over-population of the trainee(33.5%) and the most severe problem of the educational environment was the lack of air-cooled and heated system(24.8%).

평화통일교육의 과제를 통해 본 기독교통일교육의 방향 탐구 (Exploring the Direction of Christian Unification Education through the Tasks of Peace Unification Education)

  • 연구 목적 : 이 연구는 한국에서의 평화교육과 통일교육의 역사적 흐름을 살펴보고 평화통일교육의 과제를 검토한 후 평화교육으로서의 기독교통일교육의 방향과 과제를 탐구해 보는데 목적이 있다. 연구 내용 및 방법 : 평화교육은 시민사회로부터 출발한 평화운동 및 교육적 담론이 활성화되며 영역이 확장된 반면, 통일교육은 정부의 통일 및 대북 정책에 따라 계획이 세워져 교육 실천 현장으로 나아가는 모습을 보인다. 그러나 평화를 염원하는 통일교육의 특성상 두 분야의 접목은 꾸준히 이어져 왔고, 이에 당면한 평화통일교육의 연구도 지속적으로 수행되었다. 연구 목적을 수행하기 위해 두 영역의 시대적 흐름을 검토하고, 선행연구 분석을 통해 도출된 평화통일교육의 과제를 기반으로 평화교육으로서의 기독교통일교육의 방향과 과제를 제안하였다. 결론 및 제언 : 평화교육으로서의 기독교통일교육은 한반도 평화와 안녕의 지속가능성을 위해 전쟁과 폭력의 문화에서 평화의 문화로 전환하는데 앞장서는 평화시민 양성을 교육 목표로 삼아야 한다. 이를 위해 첫째, 적대자상의 해체를 위한 기독교교육의 방향성을 모색해야 한다. 둘째, 교수·학습에 있어 톱다운 방식(top-down)에서 벗어나 학습자의 주체성과 자율성을 보장하는 활동이 이루어져야 한다. 셋째, 일상과 연결되는 실천 과정이 구성되어야 한다. 결론적으로 평화교육으로서의 기독교통일교육은 통일이라는 국가적 과업에 목표를 두기 보다는 다양한 구성원들이 공존할 한반도 내의 평화시민의식을 고양시키는 것이 한반도 평화의 문화 조성에 전진하는 길임을 잊지말아야 한다.

Identification and Characterization of a New Alkaline SGNH Hydrolase from a Thermophilic Bacterium Bacillus sp. K91

  • est19 is a gene from Bacillus sp. K91 that encodes a new esterase. A comparison of the amino acid sequence showed that Est19 has typical Ser-Gly-Asn-His (SGNH) family motifs and could be grouped into the SGNH hydrolase family. The Est19 protein was functionally cloned, and expressed and purified from Escherichia coli BL21(DE3). The enzyme activity was optimal at 60℃ and pH 9.0, and displayed esterase activity towards esters with short-chain acyl esters (C2-C6). A structural model of Est19 was constructed using phospholipase A1 from Streptomyces albidoflavus NA297 as a template. The structure showed an α/β-hydrolase fold and indicated the presence of the typical catalytic triad Ser49-Asp227-His230, which were further investigated by site-directed mutagenesis. To the best of our knowledge, Est19 is a new member of the SGNH hydrolase family identified from thermophiles, which may be applicable in the industrial production of semisynthetic β-lactam antibiotics after modification.

윤리적 공학교육이란 무엇인가: 그 필요성과 실천전략 (What is Ethical Engineering Education : its Necessity and Practical Tasks)

  • This study started from a critical review of the current problem of ethics education in engineering colleges, how it has become stereotyped and perfunctory and hence, is failing to properly foster engineers with a sense of responsibility. Existing engineering ethics education occupies a very limited role and weight in the periphery of the engineering curriculum, unable to hold a central position. This situation is of grave concern, especially when the leadership of engineers with social and professional responsibility is of great importance. Therefore, this study explored new directions and strategies for engineering ethics education while reviewing domestic and foreign studies dealing with the current status and problems of engineering ethics education. First, this study discussed the need for and direction of shifting to ethical engineering education instead of ethics education centered on liberal arts courses. Second, this study presented specific practical strategies to construct the ethical engineering curriculum. For example, it is necessary to establish the ethical engineering curriculum with an education linking ethics with human development goals, ethics education using Korea's current issues and agendas, micro- and macro-level analysis related to engineering, and leadership education.
