Increasing of the demand for energy savings for buildings, thermal barrier films have more attracted. In particular, as heat loss through the windows have been pointed out to major problems in the construction and automobile industries, the research is consistently conducted for improving the thermal blocking performance for windows. The main theory of the technology is reflect the infrared rays to help the cut off the inflow of the solar energy in summer and outflow of the heat from indoors in winter to save the energy on cooling and heating. Furthermore, this is well known for prevent glare, reduces fading caused by harmful ultraviolet radiation and easy to apply on constructed buildings if it made as a film. In addition to these advantages, apply the transparent electrode to eliminate condensation by heating. Generally ITO is used as a transparent electrode, but is has a low stability in environmental factors. In this study, ITO and its alternative, ATO, is deposited by sputtering system and then the characteristic is evaluated each material based thermal barrier thin film. The optical property was measured on wide range of wavelength (200 nm 2500 nm) to know the transparency in visible wavelength and reflectivity in IR wavelength range. The electrical property was judged by sheet resistivity. Finally the changes of the temperature and current of the deposited film was observed while applying a DC power.
Omeprazole(OMZ)-cholestyramine(CHL) and various OMZ-Dowex resin complexes were prepared by reaction between OMZ and activated resins in 0.1N NaOH solution. And their physical properties were tested by means of infrared(IR), differential scaning caloimeter(DSC), X-ray diffraction. Chemical stability of OMZ-CHL was increased markedly compared with OMZ and the decomposition of OMZ-CHL followed the pseudo first-order kinetics and the rate constants were $2.743{\times}10^{-4}/day$ at $20^{\circ}C$, $7.83{\times}10^{-3}day^{-1}$ under 80% RH and $1.68{\times}10^{-2}day^{-1}$ under UV radiation, respectively. On the other hand, the rate constants of OMZ were $2.996{\times}10^{-4}day^{-1}$ at $20^{\circ}C$, $1.17{\times}10^{-2}day^{-1}$ under 85% RH, and $4.07{\times}10^{-2}day^{-1}$ under UV radiation, respectively. The rates of dissolution of OMZ-CHL bulk and OMZ-CHL tablet were 100% and more than 85% in 15 minutes, respectively, which were increased than OMZ base and OMZ-tablet. In the acute toxicological test, the value of oral $LD_{50}$(mouse) was 4.608 g/kg. OMZ-CHL was pelletized using lactose, polyethyle neglycol(PEG), D-sorbitol, Avicel PH 101, sodium laurylsulfate and polyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP) K-30, and enteric coated with HPMCP, Myvacet, acetone, ethanol and cetanol, of which dissolution rate was found to be more than 85% in 10 minutes. From the above results, it was found that OMZ-CHL is a useful means for development of new oral dosage forms of OMZ.

Currently gas safety management in the industrial field has been done by LDAR as contact method or methane leak detector as non-contact method. But LDAR method requires a lot of man-power and methane leak detector have the limitation of methane only. Therefore the Research on the OGI(optical gas image) has big attention by industry. This research was undertaken to see the effect of background temperature difference of gas cloud on the clarity of OGI. The background temperature control panel was constructed to cool down the background temperature. OGI was taken at the various methane gas ejection rate and the designed temperature difference. The experimental results showed that the OGI(when the temperature difference is $-6^{\circ}C$) is more clear thane the OGI(when the temperature difference is zero). To quantify the clarity difference, MATLAB's RGB analysis method was employed. The RGB value of the OGI at ${\Delta}T-6^{\circ}C$ was 20% lower than the OGI at ${\Delta}T0^{\circ}C$. The clarity difference by T difference can be explained by the total radiation law. When the background temperature of the gas is lower than the air temperature, the radiation energy coming into the OGI lens is increasing. As the energy is increasing, the OGI image becomes clear.
We present new constraints on the cosmic optical background (COB) obtained from an analysis of the Pioneer 10/11 Imaging Photopolarimeter (IPP) data. After careful examination of the data quality, the usable measurements free from the zodiacal light are integrated into sky maps at the blue (${\sim}0.44{\mu}m$) and red (${\sim}0.64{\mu}m$) bands. Accurate starlight subtraction was achieved by referring to all-sky star catalogs and a Galactic stellar population synthesis model down to 32.0 mag. We find that the residual light is separated into two components: one component shows a clear correlation with the thermal $100{\mu}m$ brightness, whilst the other shows a constant level in the lowest $100{\mu}m$ brightness region. The presence of the second component is significant after all the uncertainties and possible residual light in the Galaxy are taken into account, thus it most likely has an extragalactic origin (i.e., the COB). The derived COB brightness is ($(1.8{\pm}0.9){\times}10^{-9}$ and $(1.2{\pm}0.9){\times}10^{-9}\;erg\;s^{-1}\;cm^{-2}\;sr^{-1}\;{\AA}^{-1}$ in the blue and red spectral regions, respectively, or $7.9{\pm}4.0$ and $7.7{\pm}5.8\;nW\;m^{-2}\;sr^{-1}$. Based on a comparison with the integrated brightness of galaxies, we conclude that the bulk of the COB is comprised of normal galaxies which have already been resolved by the current deepest observations. There seems to be little room for contributions from other populations including "first stars" at these wavelengths. On the other hand, the first component of the IPP residual light represents the diffuse Galactic light (DGL)-scattered starlight by the interstellar dust. We derive the mean DGL-to-$100{\mu}m$ brightness ratios of $2.1{\times}10^{-3}$ and $4.6{\times}10^{-3}$ at the two bands, which are roughly consistent with previous observations toward denser dust regions. Extended red emission in the diffuse interstellar medium is also confirmed.

This paper presents map creation algorithm and initial attitude estimation method for the proposed optical head tracker system. The optical head tracker system consists of the IR stereo cameras and infrared LEDs as features on the helmet. In order for the stereo camera to track the luminous LEDs, it must take in to account the light radiation from the LEDs to determine the position of the center points. The proposed map creation algorithm makes map data about the position of features center points on the helmet frame. Also, initial attitude estimation method is proposed to estimate the initial attitude and position of a pilot head from the camera frame by the use of the feature pattern on the helmet. Therefore, the head motion can be expressed with respect to the body frame of a flight.

Interface technologies for a user to control home automation system in wearable computing environment has been studied recently. This paper proposes a new interface method for a disabled person to control home automation system in wearable computing environment by using EOG sensing circuit and marker recognition. In the proposed interface method, the operations of a home network device are represented with human readable markers and displayed around the device. A user wearing a HMD, a video camera, and a computer selects the desired operation by seeing the markers and selecting one of them with eye movement from the HMD display The requested operation is executed by sending the control command for the selected marker to the home network control device. By using the EOG sensing circuit and the marker recognition system a user having problem with moving hands and fit can manipulate a home automation system with only eye movement.
Hair is made of proteins containing various amino acids. Ultraviolet (UV) radiation is believed to be responsible for the most damaging effects of sunlight, and also plays an important role in hair aging. The purpose of this study was to investigate the changes in morphological and chemical structures after ultraviolet B (UVB) irradiation of human hair. The UVB-irradiated hair showed characteristic morphological and structural changes, compared to those of the normal hair. The result from a scanning electron microscope (SEM) equipped with an energy dispersive X-ray diffractometer (EDX) showed that the scale of UV-irradiated hair appeared to be rough and the amount of oxygen element was higher than that of the normal hair. Fluorescence and three dimensional (3D) topographical images were obtained by a confocal laser scanning microscope (CLSM). In 3D images, the green emission intensity of normal hair was much higher than that of fluorescing UVB-irradiated hair. The intensity of green emission reflects the intrinsic fluorescence of hair protein. Also, a fluorescent imaging method using fluorescamine reagent was used to identify the free amino groups resulting from a peptide bond breakage in UVB-irradiated hair. Strong blue fluorescence of UVB-irradiated hair, which indicates a very high level of amino groups, was observed by CLSM. Therefore, the fluorescamine as an extrinsic fluorescence could provide a useful tool to identify the peptide bond breakage in UVB-irradiated hair. Infrared image mapping was also employed to assess the cross-sections of normal and UVB-irradiated specimens to examine the oxidation of disulfide bonds. The degree of peak areas with strong absorbance for the disulfide mono-oxide was spread from the outside to the inside of hair. The spectroscopic techniques used alone, or in combination, launch new possibilities in the field of hair cosmetics.
Photothermal therapy is a treatment that necrotizes selectively the abnormal cells, in particular cancer cells, which are more vulnerable to heat than normal cells, using the heat generated when irradiating light. In this study, we synthesized a reduced graphene oxide with carboxyl groups (CRGO)-gold nanorod (AuNR) nanocomposite for photothermal treatment. Graphene oxide (GO) was selectively reduced and exfoliated at high temperature to synthesize CRGO, and the length of AuNR was adjusted according to the amount of AgNO3, to synthesize AuNR with a strong absorption peak at 880 nm, as an ideal photothermal agent. It was determined through FT-IR, thermogravimetric and fluorescence analyses that more carboxyl groups were conjugated with CRGO over RGO. In addition, CRGO exhibited excellent stability in aqueous solutions compared to RGO due to the presence of carboxylic acid. The CRGO-AuNR nanocomposites fabricated by electrostatic interaction have an average size of ~317 nm with a narrow size distribution. It was confirmed that under radiation with a near-infrared 880 nm laser which has an excellent tissue transmittance, the photothermal effect of CRGO-AuNR nanocomposites was greater than that of AuNR due to the synergistic effect of the two photothermal agents, CRGO and AuNR. Furthermore, the results of cancer cell toxicity by photothermal effect revealed that CRGO-AuNR nanocomposites showed superb cytotoxic properties. Therefore, the CRGO-AuNR nanocomposites are expected to be applied to the field of anticancer photothermal therapy based on their stable dispersibility and improved photothermal effect.
This study was performed to evaluate the temperature rise on various position of the Buchanan plugger, the peak temperature of plugger's type and the temperature change by its touching time of heat control spling. The heat carrier system 'System B' (Model 1005, Analytic Technologies, USA) and the Buchanan's plug-gers of F, FM, M and ML sizes are used for this study. The temperature was set to 20$0^{\circ}C$ which Dr. Buchanan's "continuous wave of condensation" technique recommended on digital display and the power level on it was set to 10. In order to apply heat on the Buchanan's pluggers, the heat control spring was touched for 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 seconds respectively. The temperature rise on the surface of the pluggers were measured at 0.5 mm intervals from tip to 20 mm length of shank using the infrared thermography (Radiation Thermometer-IR Temper, NEC San-ei Instruments, Ltd, Japan) and TH31-702 Data capture software program (NEC San-ei Instruments, Ltd, Japan). Data were analyzed using a one way ANOVA followed by Duncan's multiple range test and linear regression test. The results as follows. 1. The position at which temperature peaked was approximately at 0.5 mm to 1.5 mm far from the tip of Buchanan's pluggers (p<0.001). The temperature was constantly decreased toward the shank from the tip of it (p<0.001). 2. When the pluggerss were heated over 5 seconds, the peak temperature by time of measurement revealed from 253.3$\pm$10.5$^{\circ}C$ to 192.1$\pm$3.3$^{\circ}C$ in a touch for 1 sec, from 218.6$\pm$5.$0^{\circ}C$ to 179.5$\pm$4.2$^{\circ}C$ in a touch for 2 sec, from 197.5$\pm$3.$0^{\circ}C$ to 167.5$\pm$3.7$^{\circ}C$ in a touch for 3 sec, from 183.7$\pm$2.5$^{\circ}C$ to 159.8$\pm$3.6$^{\circ}C$ in a touch for 4 sec and from 164.9$\pm$2.$0^{\circ}C$ to 158.4$\pm$1.8$^{\circ}C$ in a touch for 5 sec. A touch for 1 sec showed the highest peak temperature, followed by, in descending order, 2 sec, 3 sec, 4 sec. A touch for 5 sec showed the lowest peak temperature (p<0.001). 3. A each type of pluggers showed different peak temperatures. The peak temperature was the highest in F type and followed by, in descending order, M type, ML type. FM type revealed the lowest peak temperature (p<0.001). The results of this study indicated that pluggers are designed to concentrate heat at around its tip, its actual temperature does not correlate well with the temperature which Buchanan's "continuous wave of condensation" technique recommend, and finally a quick touch of heat control spring for 1sec reveals the highest temperature rise.

The designed and fabricated millimeter-wave security screening system receives radiation energy from an object and a human body. The imaging system consist of sixteen array antennas, sixteen four-stage LNAs, sixteen detectors, an infrared camera, a CCD camera, reflector, and a focusing lens. This system requires high sensitivity and wide bandwidth to detect the input thermal noise. The LNA module of the system has been measured to have 65.8 dB in average linear gain and 82 GHz~102 GHz in bandwidth to enhance the sensitivity for thermal noise, and to receive it over a wide bandwidth. The detector is used for direct current (DC) output translation of millimeter-wave signals with a zero bias Schottky diode. The lens and front-end of the millimeter-wave sensor are important in the system to detect the input thermal noise signal. The frequency range in the receiving sensitivity of the detectors was 350 to 400 mV/mW at 0 dBm (1 mW) input power. The developed W-band imaging system is effective for detecting and identifying concealed objects such as metal or plastic.
