다특성 목적함수를 고려한 영구자석 매입형 전동기의 새로운 자속장벽 최적설계 (Novel Design of Flux Barrier in IPM type BLDC motor by considering the Multi-response Taguchi Method)

  • This paper proposes the novel flux barrier that built in q-axis in rotor of IPM type BLDC motor. The novel flux barrier aims to reduce the motor vibration with reduced cogging torque and lessened torque ripple by the sinusoidal waveform distribution of the flux generated in the permanent magnet. For optimization of the novel flux barrier, the Taguchi method is effectively employed which considered multiple objective quality characteristics, such as cogging torque, average torque and efficiency. The result of proposed model compare with the initial model and it is verified by 2D finite element method (FEM) results.

  • this paper presents a rotor shape optimization of interior type permanent magnet (IPM) motor for vibration minimization. the vibration of permanent magnet motor is generated by cogging torque, radial force and commutation torque ripple which are electromagnetic source of vibration. In order to minimize the vibration, the optimal notches are put on the rotor pole face and the arc type pole face is applied. The variations of cogging torque and radial force of each model vibration frequency are computation by finite element method (FEM) and the validity of the analysis and rotor shape design is confirmed by vibration experiments.

  • This paper presents the rotor study on the deal with the shape design with a flux barrier to minimize the cogging torque of Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(IPMSM). In order to consider the notch effect, the torque characteristics according to the shape of notch is performed and analyzed. From the this results, we found that an optimal location and radius of the notch effectively suppresses the torque pulsation of the IPM drive. The rotor shape design also shows improvement in the average torque

  • Recently, Interior Permanent Magnet Machine(IPM) is widely used for traction motor in the high speed train. Higher efficiency and power density are the superb performance of IPM. Due to the high power density, however, it has lots of heat source which are originated from copper losses and core losses. These heat source can cause the permanent demagnetization in magnet and the loss of torque and power. To prevent the undesirable loss in the traction motor, the accurate loss calculation and the thermal analysis should be preceded. Especially, the end-winding area and permanent magnet area should be examined correctly. In this paper, the electromagnetic fields were examined by finite element method to analyze the electromagnetic properties of IPM and thermal analysis are carried out with pre-calculated losses. To validate the analysis result, the experiment set with forced air cooling system is manufactured.

  • This paper presents the vibration characteristic of interior type permanent magnet (IPM) motor according to rotor design. In the design methods, the optimal notchs are put on the rotor pole face, which have an effect on variation of permanent magnet (PM) shape or residual flux density of PM. Through the space harmonics field analysis, the positions of notch are found and the optimal shapes of notch are decided by using Finite Element Method (FEM). The validity of the proposed method is confirmed with experiments. Therefore, the vibration, starting current and efficiency of IPM is measured by experiment.

  • This paper proposes a novel design method for flux barrier which built in q-axis in rotor of IPM type BLDC motor.   • The use of BLDC motor in Vehicle and industrial field, it is operated by continuous and intermittent driving. When the intermittent driving is occurred by the rise and fall of temperature repeatedly, it was represented by different characteristics in case of continuous driving. So, it is very important that heat source estimation according to the duty ratio. In this paper, temperature characteristics according to the operating method of BLDCM was calculated by using the thermal equivalent circuit, and the validity of the study was demonstrated as compared to the calculated and experimental results.

  • In this paper, the variation of air-gap field intensity caused by the slot-opening in interior permanent magnet (IPM) motor is investigated, which is for predicting the instantaneous magnetic field more preciously in analytical method further. It is different with the approach of dealing the slot-opening effect on the air-gap field distribution with the "relative permeance" function in surface permanent magnet (SPM) motor. The prediction of the air-gap field in IPM motor is much more complex than SPM motor. In this study, an approximate estimation method is adopted based on analyzing the changing of flux path in both the IPM rotor part and stator part, and in additional an analytical function defined as "relative pole-arc" is built. The finite element method(FEM) is used for confirming the slot-opening effect on the field prediction.

  • This paper deals with optimal design technique to reduce torque of IPM BLDC motor having concentrated winding. Optimization process using experimental design method which is one of the design technique is explained. Finally, the validity of experimental design method is proved by the results between prototype and optimization model.

  • 본 논문에서는 외전형 영구자석 동기전동기(Outer rotor Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor)의 회전자 형상에 따른 토크특성을 비교하였다. 표면부착형 영구자석(SPM) 형태의 FAN용 PMSM을 설계하고 이 모델을 기준으로 동일한 외경사이즈를 갖지만 더 높은 토크 밀도를 갖는 4가지 매입형 영구자석(IPM) 형태의 PMSM을 제시한다. Finite Element Analysis(FEM)을 통하여 각 모델의 특성을 해석하고 자석 사용량과 토크를 비교 및 분석하였다.
