According to the star formation rate and metal enrichment rate given by the disk-halo model of Lee and Ann (1981), the two different forms of time-dependent initial mass function (IMF) and the present day mass function (PDMF) of nearby stars have been examined. It was shown that the constraint for the initial rapid metal enrichment requires the time-dependence of IMF at the very early phase ($t{\lesssim}5{\times}10^8$ yrs) of the solar neighborhood. The computed PDMF's show that the PDMF is nearly independent of any specific functional form of IMF as long as the latter includes a Gaussian distribution of log m. This result is due to the very small fractional mass $({\times}5%)$ of stars formed at the very early period during which the IMF is time-dependent. The computed PDMF suggests the presence of more numerous low mass stars than shown in Miller and Scalo's (1979) PDMF, supporting the possibility of the existence of low-velocity M dwarfs. According to the number distribution of stars with respect to [Fe/H], the mean age of these low mass star must be very old so as to yield the mean metal abundance $\bar{[Fe/H]}{\approx}-0.15$ for the stars in the solar neighborhood.

The purpose of this study was to compare the attitudes and behaviors toward money among college students after and before IMF economic crisis. The subject of investigation consists of 389 students in the year of 1995 and 112 students in the year of 2000 in Wonkwang university. The major findings are as follows: 1) The exploratory factor analysis of money attitudes and behaviors scale drew four factors such as; power, obsession, money management and pleasure. 2) Male students have a tendency more likely than females not only to look upon money as power but also to have an obsession before IMF economic crisis. But gender differences were disappeared after. 3) In comparison of the before and after IMF economic crisis, the behavior value in reference to money is generally increased. The social power and the cognitive attitude like an obsessional increased smaller than that of a practical such as money management or pleasure. The pleasure is raised the largest. 4) The level of attitudes and behavior for money management is raised the most for female students while, the value of the pleasure has the greatest increase for male students rate.

이 연구의 주된 목적은 IMF 외환위기를 계기로 사회경제적 차별출산력의 양상이 어떻게 변화하였는가를 파악하는 것이다. 이 연구는 2003년 전국출산력조사 자료를 활용하여 20-49세 기혼 여자의 총출생아수와 1998년 이후의 출생아수를 비교분석하였다. 또한, 분석대상을 1997년 이전에 결혼하였거나 재혼한 부인들과 1997년 이후 처음 결혼한 부인들의 두 집단으로 구분하여 출산력 수준과 출산행태를 비교함으로써 IMF 외환우기 이전과 이후의 변화양상을 파악하고자 시도하였다. 총출생아수에 대한 분석 결과. 부부의 사회경제적인 조건과 출산수준은 대체로 뒤집어진 J 자형의 관계를 유지하는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 즉 사회경제적 지위가 높아질수록 출산수준이 낮아지는 경향이 발견되었다. 그러나 사회경제적 지위가 가장 높은 집단은 바로 밑의 집단 보다 출산수준이 상대적으로 높았다. 그런데, 최근의 출산수준은 이러한 사회경제적 차별출산력과는 뚜렷하게 대조적인 양상을 나타냈다. IMF 외환위기 이후 출산수준 감소의 폭은 기존의 출산수준과 정비례하는 방식으로 미루어졌다. 출산수준이 높은 집단일수록 급속한 출산력 저하가 이루어졌으며 출산수준이 낮은 집단에서는 상대적으로 변화가 완만하였다. 그 결과, 최근의 출산수준은 중상층에 해당하는 사회경제적 지위를 지닌 집단이 가장 높고, 다음이 최상위 집단, 그리고 하위 집단의 순으로 바뀌었다. 이러한 경향은 부부의 교육수준, 직업, 종사상 지위, 주관적 계층에 따른 최근 출산력의 변화양상에서 일관적으로 나타났다.

본 연구에서는 헥셔-오린 모형에 기초해 환경규제의 강화로 인한 오염방지비용의 증가가 우리나라 제조업의 국제경쟁력에 어떤 영향을 미쳤는지를 분석하였다. 사용된 분석 방법은 고정효과모형, 패널GLS이며, 사용된 자료는 1993~2007년까지 15년간의 산업별 패널 자료이다. 주요 분석 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 환경오염방지 비용이 순수출에 미치는 효과는 큰 유의한 음의 값을 가졌고, 특히 그 값은 IMF 경제위기 이후 크게 나타나 IMF 경제위기 이후 우리나라 제조업의 국제경쟁력을 결정짓는 가장 중요한 변수인 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 요소집약도와 관련해서는 숙련노동이 우리나라 제조업의 순수출에 미치는 효과가 가장 컸으며 IMF 경제위기 이후 그 효과는 더욱 증가한 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 연구개발비 역시 IMF 경제위기 이후 우리나라 제조업의 순수출에 미치는 효과는 큰 것으로 나타났다.

In a series of investigations to develop a potential anti-obese agent, we prepared a immature Citrus fruits (IMF) and compared its lipid excretion effects to those of Citrus fruits (MF, CP, JP) in an ICR mouse model of obesity induced by a high fat diet. The body weights of IMF fed mice were found to be significantly lower from 2 weeks oral administration, despite the fact that their food intakes were similar to that of the HFD control mice. The fecal cholesterol content showed a significant increase in IMF (52.0 mg/g) at 7 weeks oral administration, and mature Citrus fruits (MF, 41.3 mg/g), immature Citrus peel (CP, 32.2 mg/g), mature Citrus peel (JP, 30.0 mg/g) respectively. And also, the triglyceride content in the feces showed a significant increase in MF (14.6 mg/g), and IMF (14.2 mg/g), CP (10.5 mg/g) and JP (10.0 mg/g), respectively. On the other hand, in the inhibition activity of pancreatic lipase, MF (0.78 nmol/min/ml) showed the greatest decrease in glycerol, CP (0.79 nmol/min/ml), JP, (0.93 nmol/min/ml) and IMF (1.42 nmol/min/ml).

(주) A유통은 IMF시대의 경제불황에도 불구하고 PC 판매액을 전략적 마케팅활동을 통해서 5개월만에 200% 성장을 이루었고 '99년에는 250% 성장을 계획하고있다. (주) A유통의 컴퓨터 사업부는 '98년 8월 마케팅부서를 개편하면서 전략적 마케팅계획을 수립하였다. 마케팅계획의 핵심은 고객의 입장에서 (주) A유통의 영업활동을 평가하고 판매자 입장에서 제공하는 편익이 아니라 고객의 입장에서 고객이 원하는 편익을 제공하는 것이었다. '98년 IMF 상황만큼 국내경기 여건이 어려웠기 때문에 기업의 모든 경영지표가 역(-)성장을 기록하는 상황이었으나 막대한 경영자원의 투자 없이 전략적 마케팅 활동만으로 PC 판매액을 두배 이상 성장시키는 결과를 가져왔다.

인쇄와 관련된 해외 투자건수가 1989년부터 한해 평균 3-4건에 불과하던 것이 지난 2001년에는 12건으로 가장 높은 투자건수를 기록했으며 2002년에는 10건, 올 상반기에는 4건으로 나타나 IMF 이후 증가한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 투자금액도 IMF 이전인 1996년 383만5천달러에는 못 미치지만 예년에 비해 높아져 2001년에는 119만2천달러, 2002년에는 166만8천달러, 올 상반기에는 4건에 260만9천달러를 기록해 건수에 비해 투자금액이 증가하고 있다.
