고지방 섭취 흰쥐에서 대두 이소플라본 섭취가 혈액 내 Nitrite 함량과 항산화 효소 활성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Soy Isoflavone Intake on Nitrite Content and Antioxidant Enzyme Activities in Male Rats Fed High-Fat Diet)

  • This study was performed to investigate the effect of soy isoflavone on plasma nitrite concentration and the antioxidant enzyme activities of erythrocyte and the liver using adult male rats fed high fat diet. Seven-week old male Sprague Dawley rats were divided into three groups and fed high fat diet (15% beef tallow, 1 % cholesterol; control: IF0) or high fat diets containing isoflavone 80 ppm (IF80) or 320 ppm (IF320) for 10 weeks. Plasma nitrite concentration as a vasodilator, and antioxidant enzyme activities in erythrocytes and the liver were measured. Plasma nitrite concentration was increased by 45% and 35%, respectively, in IF80 and IF320 than in IF0 group. Erythrocyte catalase, glutathione peroxidase (GPx) and glutathione reductase (GR) activities increased by 31 %, 30% and 40% in IF320 compared to IF0 group. Especially, erythrocyte GR activity increased by 61 % in IF80 group. However, catalase activity in the liver was decreased in IF80 group. GPx and GR activities in the liver were not differ among groups. The results suggest that soy isoflavone have the protective effect against risk factors related with cardiovascular disease by improving vasodilator factor, nitrite, and antioxidant enzyme activities in blood. Court's Criteria for Judging Research Misconduct and JRPE Goals

  • Purpose: Focusing on Supreme Court precedents, we intend to establish criteria for judging research misconduct. Research design, data and methodology: In addition, I would like to propose the criteria for judging research misconduct by the KODISA, which applies the court's standards well in practice, and guidelines for preventing research misconduct. Research design, data and methodology: After classifying the case of research misconduct into six cases, the court's judgment and practical application will be reviewed. Results: First, research misconduct that has passed the disciplinary prescription can be punished. This is because the state of illegality continues to this day. Second, even if there were no punishment regulations at the time of research misconduct, it can be retroactively punished with the current punishment regulations. This is because research ethics is a universal and common standard and does not change. Third, if there is a fact that infringes on intellectual property rights, it is presumed unwritten intentions. Therefore, the act of taking and using the work of another person without permission or proper citation procedure, even if it is unintentional and for the public interest, is a research misconduct. Fourth, if there is an inappropriate citation notation, the intention of research misconduct is presumed. It is the judgment of the court that even if a quotation is marked, if it is incomplete, it is recognized as plagiarism. Fifth, if the author uses the work of another person without proper source indication, it is plagiarism even if the other person who owns the copyright agrees to it. The understanding or consent of some parties does not justify research misconduct in violation of public trust. Sixth, it is a research misconduct to create a new work without citations for one's previous work. In addition, even if there is a citation, if the subsequent writing is not original, it is a research misconduct. Conclusions: Academia should clarify the scope of research misconduct by referring to the Research Ethics Regulations of KODISA, and deal with research results that lack the value as creative works similar to those of research misconduct.

  • In this paper, we define a g-regular semigroup which is a generalization of a regular semigroup. And we want to find some properties of g-regular semigroup. G-regular semigroups contains the variety of all regular semigroup and the variety of all periodic semigroup. If a is an element of a semigroup S, the smallest left ideal containing a is Sa.cup.{a}, which we may conveniently write as $S^{I}$a, and which we shall call the principal left ideal generated by a. An equivalence relation l on S is then defined by the rule alb if and only if a and b generate the same principal left ideal, i.e. if and only if $S^{I}$a= $S^{I}$b. Similarly, we can define the relation R. The equivalence relation D is R.L and the principal two sided ideal generated by an element a of S is $S^{1}$a $S^{1}$. We write aqb if $S^{1}$a $S^{1}$= $S^{1}$b $S^{1}$, i.e. if there exist x,y,u,v in $S^{1}$ for which xay=b, ubv=a. It is immediate that D.contnd.q. A semigroup S is called periodic if all its elements are of finite order. A finite semigroup is necessarily periodic semigroup. It is well known that in a periodic semigroup, D=q. An element a of a semigroup S is called regular if there exists x in S such that axa=a. The semigroup S is called regular if all its elements are regular. The following is the property of D-classes of regular semigroup.group.

변곡점 검출을 이용한 AM-FM 신호의 순간주파수 추정 (Instantaneous Frequency Estimation of AM-FM Signals using the Inflection Point Detection)

  • 변곡점 추출방법을 활용하여 AM-FM신호의 순간주파수를 추정하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 AM-FM신호의 국부적인 최대값/최소값을 변곡점 추출법을 활용하여 검출하며, 검출된 인접한 최대값/최소값 사이의 시간 간격을 계산하여 FM성분의 순간주파수를 추정한다. AM성분의 경우, 검출된 최소값/최대값의 포락선을 먼저 구하고 포락선의 최고값 간의 시간을 계산하여 순간주파수를 추정한다. 컴퓨터 모의실험으로 FM성분의 주파수가 고정된 경우와 변화하는 경우에 제안된 방법의 유용성을 검증한다. FM성분의 주파수가 일정한 AM-FM신호의 경우, 제안된 방법은 두 주파수 성분을 적절하게 추정한다. FM성분의 주파수가 변화하는 AM-FM신호의 경우, AM성분의 순간주파수는 적절히 추정되었으나 FM성분의 순간 주파수는 이론적인 주파수에서 편이되는 현상을 보인다. 이는 국소적인 최고점/최대점 검출로 표본수가 적어지는 효과에 따른 것으로, 저역통과 필터와 같은 후처리로 개선될 수 있다.

선복화의 2D 및 3D 세포배양모델에서 HT-1080 인간 섬유육종 세포의 세포주기정지 및 자가포식 유도 효과 (Inulae Flos Induces Cell Cycle Arrest and Autophagy of HT-1080 Human Fibrosarcoma Cells in 2D and 3D Cell Culture Model)

  • Objective : Inulae Flos(IF) has been used to treat arthritis, sever furuncle, fear and palpitation, vomiting, stroke, asthma and cough in Korean Medicine. Although the anticancer activity of IF has been reported, the molecular mechanism is still not well understood. In this study, we investigated the growth inhibitory activity of an ethanol extract of IF in HT-1080 human fibrosarcoma cells and its underlying mechanisms using two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) cell culture system. Methods : HT-1080 cells were cultured with IF for 9 days in 3D cell culture. To check an inhibition of cell prolifelation by IF, MTT assay was performed. DNA contents were measured using flow cytometry. Western blotting was used to evaluate the regulation of cell cycle- and autophagy-related proteins. Acridine orange staining was performed to confirm autophagy, and DCF-DA staining was performed to confirm the occurrence of ROS. Results : IF controlled a spheroid formation and decreased a cell viability in 3D cell culture. IF-induced cell proliferation inhibition was associated with a distinct increase of S and G2/M phase cell distribution in 2D cell cultre. In addition, IF significantly induced autophagy and generated reactive oxygen species(ROS). Interestingly, IF-induced cell cycle arrest and autophagy were recovered after pre-treatment of N-acetyl-L-cysteine, ROS scavenger. Conclusion : Our results indicate that IF induced ROS-mediated cell cycle arrest and autophagy and it may potentially useful for human fibrosarcoma treatment.

  • In this paper, we present characterizations of the power function distribution by the independence of record values. We establish that $X{\in}$ POW(1, ${\nu}$) for ${\nu}$ > 0, if and only if $\frac{X_{L(n)}}{X_{L(n)}-X_{L(n+1)}}$ and $X_{L(n)}$ are independent for $n{\geq}1$. And we prove that $X{\in}$ POW(1, ${\nu}$) for ${\nu}$ > 0; if and only if $\frac{X_{L(n+1)}}{X_{L(n)}-X_{L(n+1)}}$ and $X_{L(n)}$ are independent for $n{\geq}1$. Also we characterize that $X{\in}$ POW(1, ${\nu}$) for ${\nu}$ > 0, if and only if $\frac{X_{L(n)}+X_{L(n+1)}}{X_{L(n)}-X_{L(n+1)}}$ and $X_{L(n)}$ are independent for $n{\geq}1$.

ON SUBDIRECT PRODUCT OF PRIME MODULES

  • In the various module generalizations of the concepts of prime (semiprime) for a ring, the question "when are semiprime modules subdirect product of primes?" is a serious question in this context and it is considered by earlier authors in the literature. We continue study on the above question by showing that: If R is Morita equivalent to a right pre-duo ring (e.g., if R is commutative) then weakly compressible R-modules are precisely subdirect products of prime R-modules if and only if dim(R) = 0 and R/N(R) is a semi-Artinian ring if and only if every classical semiprime module is semiprime. In this case, the class of weakly compressible R-modules is an enveloping for Mod-R. Some related conditions are also investigated.

CONSTRUCTION OF QUOTIENT BCI(BCK)-ALGEBRA VIA A FUZZY IDEAL

  • The present paper gives a new construction of a quotient BCI(BCK)-algebra X/${\mu}$ by a fuzzy ideal ${\mu}$ in X and establishes the Fuzzy Homomorphism Fundamental Theorem. We show that if ${\mu}$ is a fuzzy ideal (closed fuzzy ideal) of X, then X/${\mu}$ is a commutative (resp. positive implicative, implicative) BCK(BCI)-algebra if and only if It is a fuzzy commutative (resp. positive implicative, implicative) ideal of X Moreover we prove that a fuzzy ideal of a BCI-algebra is closed if and only if it is a fuzzy subalgebra of X We show that if the period of every element in a BCI-algebra X is finite, then any fuzzy ideal of X is closed. Especiatly, in a well (resp. finite, associative, quasi-associative, simple) BCI-algebra, any fuzzy ideal must be closed.
