Construction materials usually constitute a major portion of the total cost in a building construction project. Materials management Is made problematic by materials shortages, delays in supply, price fluctuations, damage and wastage, and lack of storage space. Despite the potential benefit of ICT, convincing construction organisations to embrace its use and implementation has proved a difficult task. This study seeks to identify the implementation of ICT for materials management processes in construction projects. The findings from the case studies reveal that the implementation of ICT in the materials management processes for construction projects in Malaysia Is at early stage. Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet and handheld devices are found to be the common ICT tools adopted in the materials management processes. The main barrier is found to be the cost involvement at the initial stage or overall implementation of ICT in the materials management processes. Finally, this paper concludes the finding from interviews towards the ICT implementation of materials management in the construction projects.

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has revolutionized the world and has profound impact on the social and economic development of a country. Implementation, practice and accessibility of ICT is viewed as an integral part of any countries' strategy today. These new technologies are becoming popular due to their ability to produce, distribute and provide instant access to massive information in no time. ICT has pervaded almost every aspect of human endeavor that may include health, education, economics, governance, entertainment etc. Tourism is one such vital industry that find enormous application of ICT in its strategic and operational level, to promise long term benefits and enhance economic growth. Tourism industry in western world and some developed countries of Asia have applied ICT for more than 30 years, and have gained tremendous benefits. Nepal which is also growing as one of the favourite tourist destinations lacks proper implementation of ICT in this industry. In our study we examined how the ICT can play a vital role in developing the tourism industry of Nepal. This study is an exploratory research based on primary data collected from tourist visiting Nepal, supported by information from tour operators, government agencies, NGOs and INGOS. A framework is devised on the basis of data and information collected and finally, discussions elaborate on the prospect and challenges of implementation of ICT in tourism industry of $Nep{\grave{a}}l$.

This study was made on the concerns and implementation of the ICT(Inormation and Communication Technology)-utilized lesson by home economics teacher. The objective of this study is to investigate the stages of concern and the level of use of the ICT-utilized lesson by home economics teachers in Kyunggi Province through the concerns based adoption model(CBAM) and to provide assistance for ICT-utilizing lesson to be efficiently adopted to home economics. This study made selected 200 schools by random sampling among 233 middle schools which have two or more home economic teachers and 21 or more classes in Kyunggi Province which has a total of 395 middle schools and mail-surveyed on 400 home economics teachers by means of questionnaire. The stages of concern. the levels of use and the types of implementation were used as instruments in this survey. The results of this study on the stages of concern. the levels of use and the type of implementation of the ICT-utilized lesson by home economics teachers in Kyunggi Province were as following: First. the highest point of the concern of home economics teachers of ICT-utilized lesson was the stage of awareness. the second highest point was the stage of management. the 3rd stage. and the stage of information. the lst stage. Second. the highest level of implementation of ICT-utilized lesson by home economics teachers was the level of mechanical use. the 3rd stage(30.4％), which followed by the level of orientation. the 1st stage(22.5％). and the level of nonuse(16.7％). the level of rountine use. the 4th stage(13.7％) the level of integration. the 5th stage(11.8％). the level of preparation 2(3.9％). and the level of renewal. the 6th stage(1.0％) Third, information search was the most in the type of ICT-use and in the course of lesson CD-ROM was used the most.. During ICT-utilized lesson. most of teachers used computer one to two hours a week mainly in the lessons of clothing life and eating life. Home economics teachers took the most training of how to use word-processor(68.6％) during computer education. and 60 teachers(66.0％) gave positive response about the effect of computer education on teacher's learning. Finally. the biggest problem with ICT-use in the teacher's learning was the long preparation time for lesson. and problem with ICT-utilized lesson was the burden of time and effort spent to buy needed materials and to recompose the existing materials for the lesson. Therefore. so as to adopt ICT-utilized lesson efficiently into school it is needed that active promotion for the lesson should be made to teachers. training teachers to raise their ability to use computer and various kinds of software should be expanded. and school authorities' financial and administrative assistance should be given for the smooth proceeding of the lesson.

This research examined the mediation effects of knowledge absorptive capacity (KAC) and knowledge management capability (KMC), between information communication technology (ICT) implementation and firm performance. In the past, studies investigated KAC and KMC separately. While studies of KAC focus on the flow of information, those of KMC focus on knowledge creation triggered by innovative information. However, KAC and KMC are not mutually exclusive and as such we investigated them together in this research. We surveyed 126 companies and analyzed hypotheses with LISREL analysis. This research provided empirical support for the Nonaka's contention that the information processing has a positive effect on knowledge creation. We also found that there is a mediation effect between ICT implementation and firm performance. Not only is there a direct effect of ICT implementation on firm performance, but there is an indirect effect through KAC and KMC. KAC has a positive effect on both KMC and firm performance. However, it has been discovered that while KMC has mediation effect, it is not significant as an independent factor for firm performance.

This paper presents design and implementation of the LDC(1.8 kW DC-DC Converter for Electric Vehicles). For Implementation of the LDC, the adapted topology is ZVS(Zero Voltage Switching) PSFB(Phase Shift Full Bridge) with Digital Control is adopted. Also, for the purpose of stable operation of the LDC in vehicle with variable electrical load condition, Continuous Voltage and Current Limit Control scheme based on PI controller are developed. According to real-car test mode, the prototype of proposed the LDC is verified with performance and stability. Thus, optimizing design and implement of the LDC are discussed, and experimental results are presented.

This paper presents design and implementation of the PCU(150 kVA 3-Phase PWM Inverter for Electric Vehicles). For Implementation of the PCU, it is consist with Case, Connectors, IGBT module for PWM switching, DC-capacitor for dc-source, resolver for sensing of speed & position, and PCB board for control & gate-driver. Also, for the purpose of stable operation of the PCU in vehicle with variable torque condition in motor, current control scheme based on torque-map are developed. According to real-car test mode, the prototype of proposed the PCU is verified with performance and stability. Thus, design and implement of the PCU are discussed, and experimental results are presented in this paper.

This study aims to examine agricultural college students' perception of readiness and barriers towards implementation of ICT program. Data were gathered from 175 student of agricultural college in Korea. Descriptive statistics, exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, t-test, and one-way ANOVA were applied to analyze the data. Results reveal that technology usefulness perception scores were high among the readiness components, but students readiness and school infrastructure readiness were low. Results also shows that policy and technology factors were also seen as the main barriers of ICT program implementation. Findings show that demographic variables did not significantly affect readiness and obstacles. The results of this study can provide guidance to the government or agricultural college organizations when considering readiness and barriers towards implementing ICT programs. In addition, this study contributes to improve the theory of adoption behavior and contributes to the foundation for future research aimed at improving our understanding of agricultural college students' behavior.

본 연구는 초 중등학교 교사들이 ICT를 활용한 프로젝트기반학습(Project-Based Learning) 연수를 참여한 후 수업에 ICT를 어떤 방식으로 어느 정도 활용하는지와 이 과정에서 ICT 활용을 촉진하는 환경 조건들에 대한 교사들의 인식을 조사하였다. 연구 걸과에 따르면 연수 후 수업에서 프로젝트기반학습의 수업 적용도와 수업 진행을 위한 준비 활동에 대한 변화가 있었으며, ICT활용 수업을 하지 못한 교사들의 경우, 적용을 못하는 가장 큰 이유는 수업 계획 및 준비를 위한 시간의 부족이었다. ICT의 활용을 촉진하는 환경 조건들에 대해서 교사들은 현 상태를 불편하게 인식하고 있지 않으며 시간과 보상을 주요 부족 요인으로 인식하였고, 정보통신기술 활용 교육을 위한 지식과 기능, 하드웨어, 소프트웨어, 그리고 휴먼웨어(자원), 참여의식, 제도적, 행정적, 인력 뒷받침(위임), 지도력에 대해서는 어느 정도 갖추어져 있다고 응답했다.

The study investigated the Integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to the Library and Information Science Curriculum: The Practicum in Library Schools in Rivers State. Descriptive survey design was used with a population 374 comprising 21 LIS educators and 353 Four Hundred Level Library and Information Science Students from University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State University, Port Harcourt, and Ignatius Ajuru University of Education Port Harcourt. Census sampling technique was used to select the LIS educators and purposive sampling technique was used to the select the Four Hundred Level LIS students. Questionnaire and checklist were used for data collection. 90% and 97% responses were found valid for analysis for LIS Educators and LIS students respectively. The study was analyzed using mean rating, standard deviation and simple percentage. The study revealed that ICT courses were integrated into LIS curriculum in Library schools in Rivers State but LIS educators lacked the ICT skills to teach ICT practicum consequently, the students were not properly taught ICT practicum. However, students had positive perception of ICT practicum. Notwithstanding, lack of ICT skills, poor policy implementation, lack of state-of-the-art infrastructure and nonchalant attitudes of staff towards the adoption of ICT constituted the challenges faced in the implementation of ICT practicum. The study therefore, recommended that the management of library schools in Rivers State should implement ICT practicum by hiring competent staff maybe from computers science department to teach the practicum for the interim. Subsequently, recruitment of librarians should include strictly ICT compliant.
