By the means of pervasiveness of ICT, ICT firms in the dynamic competition try to get the competitive advantage through the combination with the other industrial technologies and the firms in other industries also seek innovations in this way. To ICT suppliers, the application industries were completely different before but if ICT is applied to that industries once, the convergence phenomenon could occur as a part of an ICT industry. So, this research focuses the causality between ICT supplier's behavior and technological convergence according to the research question about what should ICT firms do for ICT convergence. We observed technological changes in the automotive industry through the Nasdaq listed firms' patent activities of 10-year period from the perspective of evolutionary theory. As a result, while the innovativeness of technological trials by ICT suppliers enhances the possibility of technological convergence, diversity of those can reduce the emergence of ICT convergence. This implies that ICT firms should focus specialized technologies for convergence rather than various technological options for the uncertain future.

This study investigates the trend of the patent applications and the future direction of ICT in Gyeongbuk Province by employing patent portfolio analysis, one of the methodology of map analyses for industry-related ICT issues. Thus, this study aims to investigate the ICT development trend based on ICT patent information in Gyeongbuk Province. The promising technologies in ICT industry are extracted by applying patent portfolio analysis, one of the patent map analyses. The analysis results can be applied to the establishment of research and development strategies. This study extracts ICT trend by applying International Patent Classification to the patents registered in Gyeongbuk. For promising technologies, this study analyzed the patents based on the ICT Classification Code. Based on the analysis results, this study presents the trend of patent application, technology share, patent activity status, the trend of patent application by each technology according to ICT classification, the growth stages of ICT market, registration parties for patents, joint researches of research parties, and primary parties of patent applications. After drawing promising technologies, this study provides the future progress direction of ICT industry in Gyeongbuk Province. The research results also can be applied to securing technology competence and developing strategy of technology policy.

With the rapid growth of the up-to-date ICT technology and ICT based convergence technologies recently, the efforts of the technical transfer and commercialization are realized actively. However, valuation methods of these technologies are mainly based on the existing valuation method of enterprise and business value review, not for the technology itself. Therefore, there are obvious limits for the accurate valuation of the up-to-date technology in ICT fields. In this study, we analyze the valuation result of the case study, in which the existing valuation method of the enterprise and business value review is applied to the rapid growth up-tp-date ICT technology. Then, we explore the problems of this valuation method considering the inherent characteristics of the ICT technology and suggest the feasible solution.

Korea has pursued economic development based on ICT through R&D policy incorporating CDMA. However, the future society of the Fourth Industrial Revolution is expected to include a new type of industrial development that combines ICT with the non-ICT industry, making it impossible to secure national competitiveness without the source technology of the ICT industry. Therefore, in this thesis, we examine the ICT industry and ICT R&D policy from the point of view of the current ICT as a future source technology source of Korea, and identify strategies to determine ICT as a future technology source through a SWOT analysis.

The ICT technology by using smartphone is leading the world. Apple opened the smart age with its smartphone on the first place in the world. In 2013, Samsung of Korea is spotlighted in the world, but China will run after Samsung with medium- and low-priced smartphones equipped with functionality and low and medium prices after 2014. That is, the life cycle of ICT technology gets shorter, and the volume of investment is increased. There is increasing uncertainty of enterprises and nations because the expanded volume of investment. Therefore, it is very important to predict emerging ICT technology, and investment development. Korea based on the creative economy is at the point of strengthening ICT. Therefore, this study aims to analyze intellectual property rights (patent) and the ICT market environment for the emerging ICT technology. The result of analysis will contribute to studying the intellectual property rights (patent) and the R&D matrix module in the ICT market environment for discovering and predicting national emerging ICT technology.

국내 ICT 산업은 글로벌 경쟁력을 갖추고 경제발전에 크게 이바지 해왔으며, 현재는 4차산업과 다양한 산업들의 융합의 구심점으로 인식되며 앞으로의 경제 성장 동력으로 주목받고 있다. 이러한 ICT 산업을 국내외에서 다양한 모습으로 인식하고 있다. 그 중, 국내외를 막론하고 ICT 산업에 대해 존재하는 강한 스테레오타입은 ICT는 남성중심(masculine)적인 산업이라는 것이다. 본 연구는 이런 ICT산업의 남성 중심성이 서과에 이떠한 여햐을 주는지 고찰하기 위해서 2015년 중소기업 기술통계조사 결과를 활용하여 ICT 중소기업에서 젠더와 기술적 및 경제적 성과 간 관계를 살펴보았다. 공동연구선호여부나 R&D 지원을 받은 경험이 중소기업의 기술적 및 경제적 성과와 어떤 관계가 있는지 분석하였다. 특히 본 연구는 ICT산업여부와 여성연구원 보유여부가 정책지원과 성과의 관계에 영향을 주는 중요한 요인으로 보고 분석을 수행하였다. 본 연구의 결과에 따르면 ICT기업 중 여성연구원을 고용하고 있는 기업은 그렇지 않은 ICT기업에 비해 높은 기술적 성과를 보이고 있었다. 경제적 성과의 측면에서는 여성연구원을 고용하고 있으며 단독연구를 선호하는 ICT기업이 다른 ICT기업에 비해 높은 신기술개발 매출액을 보였다. 연구의 결과는 ICT 중소기업의 지원정책을 구상하는 정책입안자들과 여성의 ICT산업 고용 및 경제 활동 진흥 정책을 구상하는 정책입안자들에게 다양한 시사점을 제공할 것으로 기대한다.

This Study conducts a survey of ICT SMEs participating in 'ICT Government Sponsored Loan Project' for researching general demands on Government sponsored loans and studies successful company case by inspecting background of R&D, performances, impacts, prospects, episodes, etc. Actually, survey results show that ICT SMEs demand more of Government sponsored loans and that stable financing is a core factor and the most difficult task for successful R&D. In conclusion, these results implicate that Government has to create new policies for competitive ICT SMEs to recover financial stability through developing and commercializing technologies.

To realize the healthy life of human, mental, physical, and environmental factors must be managed continuously and stably. In order to manage human health, the 21st century healthcare field is essential ongoing interactions and convergence with ICT technologies. Such demands have created a convergence of technologies (fusion technology) in combination with the heterogeneous technologies. And, with the convergence of medical technology and ICT technologies, the development of personalized therapy environments is created. Advances in ICT-converged healthcare services are progressing due to the development of diverse wearable devices. Such ICT fusion system is exponentially increasing the complexity of the ICT convergence healthcare system and is resulting in various technical, institutional, environmental, and cultural issues. This study explores the status of developments in ICT healthcare technologies from the past to date, identifies major technology and policy issues to address these challenges. Finally it will recommend healthcare policies and a future road-map.

The research analysis will be proceeded with a specific question: The kind of endeavors the ICT providers must focus on within the ICT industry's Schumpeterian pattern of using barriers of knowledge during the rapid technological transformation and pursuing appropriability of guaranteed opportunities. The study was carried out by targeting and conducting empirical observations on the proliferation of technological patent applications made by ICT companies among approximately 5,700 listed North American corporations. The risk of arising cases, in which late-coming non-ICT companies adopt and participate in the technical pertinence and concept derived from the technological advent, will be treated as an independent variable in a survival analysis. Through this analysis, innovative technological attempts and absorption capabilities indicate significance.
