  • In our Koreans river basins there are many of monthly rainfall data, but unfortrnately streamflow data needed are rare. Analysing monthly rainfall data of Somjin river basin, the stochastic theory model for calculation of monthly streamflow series of that region is determined. The model is composed of Box & Jenkins stansfer function plus ARIMA residual models. This linear stochastic differenced time series equation models can adapt themselves to the structure and variety of rainfall, streamflow data on the assumption of the stationary covarience. The fiexibility of Box-Jenkins method consists mainly in the iterative technique of building an AIRMA model from observations and by the use of autocorrelation functions. The best models for Somjin river basin belong to the general calss: $Y_t=($\omega$o-$\omega$_1B) C_iX_t+$\varepsilon$t$ $Y_t$ monthly streamflow, $X_t$ : monthly rainfall, $C_i$ :monthly run-off, $$\omega$o-$\omega$_1$ : transfer parameter, $$\varepsilon$_t$ : residual The streamflow series resulted from the proposed model is satisfactory comparing with the exsting streamflow data of Somjin gauging station site.

  • Ischemia reperfusion injury occurs in various diseases. The role of oxygen free radicals in IR injury of the lung has been spotlighted and many studies have been performed. In this study, we tried to prepare a stable rat lung model for IR injury, focusing on surrounding conditions as hilar stripped left lung, clamped left pulmonary artery and bronchus, and declamped after determined period was passed, and right main pulmonary aretery was clamped. Arterial blood gas analyes were performed at 1, 10, 20, 30, minutes after reperfusion. Before clamping, PaO2 was 95 to 120 mmHg in all animals. There were six groups; Group I : temperature 15o C, and 120 minutes clamping, Group II: 20 oC, and 120 minutes clamping, Group III : 25 oC, and 120 minutes clamping, Group IV : 15oC, 90 minutes clamping, Group V : 20 oC, 90 minutes clamping,Group VI: 20 oC, 75 minutes clamping. Each groups contained 10 Sprague Dayley rats. The humidity was maintained 100 % as circulation imerged isotonic Hartmann`s solution of the pleural cavity. In group IV, V, and VI, PaO2 decreased significantly in all animals immediately after reperfusion, but 43 % survived till 10 minutes after reperfusion, it was 74.0$\pm$5.7, 73.3$\pm$10.8,and 88.2$\pm$17.7 mmHg. Pulmonary edema was observed histologically in 2/10 animals in group IV, 6/10 in group V , 3/10 in group VI, 9/10 in group I, and the other lungs showed all edema. We established a stable model by setting ischemic time, and temperature, between 75 to 90 minutes,15 to 20o C, and isotemperature Hartmann`s solution immersion of the pleural cavity.

  • In this paper, for continuous media access operations performed by Clustered Continuous Media Storage Server (CCMSS) system, we present the analytical model based on the open queueing network, which considers simultaneously two critical delay factors, the disk I/O and the internal network, in the CCMSS system. And we derive by using the analytical model the stochastic model for the total service delay time in the system. Next, we propose the integrated stochastic admission control model for the CCMSS system, which estimate the maximum number of admittable service requests at the allowable service failure rate by using the derived stochastic model and apply the derived number of requests in the admission control operation. For the performance evaluation of the proposed model, we evaluated the deadline miss rates by means of the previous stochastic model considering only the disk I/O and the propose stochastic model considering the disk I/O and the internal network, and compared the values with the results obtained from the simulation under the real cluster-based distributed media server environment. The evaluation showed that the proposed admission control policy reflects more precisely the delay factors in the CCMSS system.

  • A series of O,O-dialkyl-1-phenoxyacetoxy-1-methylphosphonate analogues (1~22) as a new class of potent inhibitors of pyruvate dehydrogenase were synthesized and 3D-QSARs (three dimensional qantitative structure-activity relationships) models on the pre-emergency herbicidal activity against the seed of cucumber (Cucumus Sativa L.) were derived and discussed quantitatively using comparative molecular field analysis (CoMFA) and comparative molecular similarity indeces analysis (CoMSIA) methods. The statistical values of CoMSIA models were better predictability and fitness than those of CoMFA models. The inhibitory activities according to the optimized CoMSIA model I were dependent on the electrostatic field (41.4%), the H-bond acceptor field (26.0%), the hydrophobic field (20.8%) and the steric field (11.7%). And also, it was found that the optimized CoMSIA model I with the sensitivity to the perturbation ($d_q{^{2'}}/dr^2{_{yy'}}$ = 0.830) and the prediction ($q^2$ = 0.503) produced by a progressive scrambling analyses were not dependent on chance correlation. From the results of graphical analyses on the contour maps with the optimized CoMSIA model I, it is expected that the structural distinctions and descriptors that subscribe to herbicidal activities will be able to apply new an herbicide design.

  • Here is presented the measurement on SrO- and SrCaO-PDP operated at lower voltage. SrO- and SrCaO-PDP attain high luminous efficacy at low voltage, where the breakdown voltage is 30 % lower than that of the ordinary MgO-PDP. A one-dimensional fluid model is applied for the simulation of PDP discharge. High VUV radiation efficiency is confirmed at high ${\gamma}_i$ and both low and high $V_s$ as in the experiment. Discharge analysis in simulation also shows that the high ${\gamma}_i$ protective layer leads to high plasma density especially near the cathode electrode, being responsible for high efficiency.

  • In this paper, a modeling and co-simulation methodology is proposed to predict the radiated electromagnetic interference (EMI) from on-chip switching I/O buffers. The output waveforms of I/O buffers are simulated including the on-chip I/O buffer circuit and the RC extracted on-chip interconnect netlist, package, and printed circuit board (PCB). In order to accurately estimate the EMI, a full-wave 3D simulation is performed including the measurement environment. The simulation results are compared with near-field electromagnetic scan results and far-field measurements from an anechoic chamber, and the sources of emission peaks were analyzed. For accurate far-field EMI simulation, PCB power trace models considering IC switching current paths and external power cable models must be considered for accurate EMI prediction. With the proposed EMI simulation model and flow, the electromagnetic compatibility can be tested even before the IC is fabricated.

  • In O2O environment(Online-to-Offline), providers attract new customers via web sites and lead them to pay online, then induce them again to offline when receiving products. Thus, online and offline channel is integrated and create synergy for marketing in O2O context. As online and offline channel coexist in O2O, consumers' perceptions for products and services that providers offer cannot help being different compared to an independent channel (i.e., either online or offline). Therefore, this research aims to develop the O2O service quality model(O2O-SQ model). Especially, O2O is the unique environment where offline, online, and mobile commerce are integrated so that the current paper suggests the $1^{st}$ O2O-SQ model by integrating the common factors of offline, online, and mobile service quality model through the previous literature review. Hence, this study conducts FGI(Focus Group Interview) for customers who have experienced in purchasing products in O2O commerce. Among integrated common service quality factors of $1^{st}$ O2O-SQ model, the current paper identifies the specific service quality factors that customers perceive significantly through FGI analysis. Moreover, after extracting the unique O2O-SQ factors with this qualitative analysis and integrating with the $1^{st}$ O2O-SQ model, the paper develops the final O2O-SQ model.

  • The recent trend in multiple-use land management planning is using Model I and Model II formulations designed for timber activity scheduling problems. Numerous models hate been developed, with MUSYC(Johnson and Jones, 1979) being the first to incorporate both model structures. Currently the most popular computer program using both Model I and Model II is FORPLAN(Johnson and others, 1986). A Model I formulation requires fewer rows and provides more direct information on what happens to an acre from rotation to rotation. In some problems, Model II provides a much more compact problem matrix with much fewer columns and only a moderate increase in row number. In this paper we examined and evaluated their usefulness in comprehensive multiresource forest management planning.

  • In this paper, We assume that the closed computer system model composed of multiprocessor system is analyzed by BCMP queueing network theory with priority levels. In this system that contains terminals, processors and I/O devices, We show maximum throughput and the number of active terminals in the optimum multiprogramming levels. It is compared the performance with the other. In the result, it is obtained the optimum number of processors and active terminals. Therefore, the system model consisted of the optimum number of processor and multiprogramming level m is analyzed by the servers with a priority level. Each server is applied to the type of server which is characterized terminal, processor I/O device etc.. This model is analyzed by the server with a probability ditribution. Ideal state is proposed by the modeling for priority levels. Finally, we try to increase the performance in overload system.

  • In order to set public policy to overcome 'water crises' on both quantity and quality of water, we looked into the national-economic role of Korea water utility by two approaches. First, we examined the relationship between water consumption and economic growth during 1978-94, a period of rapid increase in water consumption caused by prompt industrialization and urbanization. The price and income elasticities of aggregate and sectoral demand for water were estimated. Second, we developed a static input-output(I-O) framework for analysing water issues in the short run. In addition, we discussed two topics in its application: i) sectoral failure(shortage) costs by supply-driven I-O model, ii) Leontief price model's sectoral pervasive effects of price due to rise in water rate. In conclusion, we found that investments to water sector and water shortage has a big influence on the standard of living and industrial production. Also we found that raising water rate to encourage conservation or to create investment funds decreases demand for water significantly but has a small influence on overall price levels.
