연소실 형상비가 디젤기관의 연소특성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Aspect Ratio on Combustion Characteristics in Diesel Engine)

  • The effect of reentrant type bowl geometry on combustion characteristics was investigated in a D.I. diesel engine. The main factor was the aspect ratio (Bowl Diameter / Bowl Depth) of bowl of combustion chamber, and the cylinder pressure, engine performance and emissions of the engine using the 4 kinds of the combustion chamber were meadured. Also, the combustion characteristics compared of the experimented and the calculated values which is used by the Hiroyasu's combustion model. The results are as follows; The effect of $d_c/H$ on ignition delay period are small. The smoke is corerelated to the heat release of the premixed and the diffusion combustion, i.g, the smoke decreased by decreasing the premixed combustion or increasing the diffusion combustion on cumulative heat release. The premixed combustion process has more effect than the diffusion combustion on smoke. The formal tendency of $d_c/H$ on engine performance has not appear.

CPT와 DMT를 이용한 부산점토의 최대전단탄성계수 추정방법에 관한 연구 (The Prediction Method of the Small Strain Shear Modulus for Busan Clay Using CPT and DMT)

  • 본 연구는 콘 관입시험(CTP)과 딜라토미터시험(DMT)을 이용한 부산지역 점토의 최대전단탄성계수 추정($G_{max}$)에 관한 것이다. 이를 위해 부산신항 지역과 녹산지역에서 피에조콘 관입시험(CPT) 및 달라토미터시험(DMT)를 수행하였으며, 비교란 시료를 채취하여 hybrid oedometer 시험을 실시하였다. Oedometer 내벽에 장착된 벤더엘리먼트로 전단파 속도를 측정하여 최대전단탄성계수를 산정하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 부산점토의 최대전단탄성계수와 구속응력, 간극비, 응력이력간의 관계를 파악하였다. 현장시험 및 실내시험을 분석한 결과, $q_t$$G_{max}$의 상관계수 ${\alpha}_G$는 소성지수에 반비례하는 것으로 나타났으며, $E_D$$G_{max}$의 상관계수 $R_G$는 ($I/I_D$)$(p_a/{\sigma}'_v)^{0.5}$와 비례관계를 나타냈다. 이러한 관계를 바탕으로 본 연구에서는 CPT와 DMT 시험으로부터 $G_{max}$를 추정하는 방법을 개발하였으며, 제안된 방법은 부산점토의 최대전단탄성계수를 적절하게 예측하는 것으로 관찰되었다.

Graphene의 플라즈마 표면 개질과 박테리아 셀룰로오스와의 결합성 검토 (Plasma Surface Modification of Graphene and Combination with Bacteria Cellulose)

  • 본 연구에서는 물리적 강도가 강한 천연 고분자인 박테리아 셀룰로오스(BC)를 기반으로 전기적 성질이 매우 뛰어난 그래핀을 결합시켜 터치 스크린과 같은 투명 전도성 필름을 제조할 수 있는 가능성을 확인하고자 한다. 그래핀을 BC와 결합하기 위해서 라디오파의 인가강도와 처리시간을 달리하여 상온에서 산소 플라즈마 처리를 통해 표면을 개질시켰다. 개질된 그래핀의 물에 대한 접촉각이 $130^{\circ}$에서 $12^{\circ}$로 매우 작아진 것으로 친수성이 향상되었다. 또한, XPS분석에서는 graphene 처리 전 산소함유량 2.99%에서 10.98%로 크게 증가하였다. 그래핀의 손상은 Raman 분석에서 $I_D/I_G$ 비로 정도를 알 수 있다. 처리 전 $I_D/I_G$ 비가 0.11로 손상 정도가 가장 낮았고, 처리 후 0.36~0.43으로 처리 전에 비해 그래핀의 구조적 결함이 증가하였다. 용해시킨 BC에 그래핀을 0~0.04 wt% 첨가하여 제조한 막의 XRD 분석에 의하면 BC막과 plasma 처리된 graphene이 함유된 결합막이 동일한 $2{\theta}$로서 화학적으로 잘 결합되었음을 확인하였다. 이는 SEM 이미지에서 BC와 그래핀의 결합 상태를 확인한 것과 일치하였다. FT-IR 분석에서 플라즈마 처리한 그래핀이 함유된 결합막의 1,000~1,300 $cm^{-1}$ (C=O)에서의 피크가 커진 것으로 보아 plasma 처리된 graphene에서 산소기가 생성되었음을 알 수 있었다. 이와 같은 결과로부터 BC의 물리적인 강점을 기반으로 하여 그래핀을 결합시킨다면 신규의 투명 전도성 소재를 개발할 수 있으리라 사료된다.

Effect of Galactose and Dextrose on Human Lipocortin I Expression in Recombinant Saccharomyces cerevisiae Carrying Galactose-Regulated Expression System

  • The expression kinetics of human lipocortin I (LCI), a potential anti-inflammatory agent, was studied in the shake-flask and fermenter cultures of Saccharomyces cerevisiae carrying a galactose-inducible expression system. The cell growth, expression level of LCI, and the plasmid stability were investigted under various galactose induction conditions. The expression of LCI was repressed by the presence of a very small amount of dextrose in the culture medium, but it was induced by galactose after dextrose became completely depleted. The optimal ratio of dextrose to galactose for lipocortin I production was found to be 1.0 (10 g/l dextrose and 10 g/l galactose). With optimal D/G ratio of 1.0 and the addition of galactose prior to dextrose depletion, LCI of about 100~130 mg/l was produced. LCI at a concentration of 174 mg/l was porduced in the fed-batch culture, which was nearly a twice as much of that produced in the batch culture. The plasmid stability was very high in all culture cases, and thus was considered to be not an important parameter in the expression of LCI.

재조합 인간 상피세포성장인자(DWP401)의 흰쥐에서의 약물동태 (Pharmacokinetics of Recombinant Human Epidermal Growth Factor (DWP401) in Rats)

  • Pharmacokinetics of DWP401, a recombinant human epidermal growth factor (rhEGF), was studied using radioimmunoassay (RIA) and $^{125}I$-DWP401 in rats. When DWP401 was adm inistered i.v. at doses of 50 and 500 mcg/kg, the plasma DWP401 disappeared biiexponentially with terminal half life of 4.7 and 92.8 min. The $C_{max}$ and $T_{max}$ after s.c. administration of ti at doses of 50 and 500 ${\mu}g$/kg were determined to be 23.6 and 17.5 ng/ml at 50 ${\mu}g$/kg, and 261.4 ng/ml and 36.8 min, respectively. Both the total urinary and biliary recoveries of intact DWP401 2343 very low (<0.4%), probably due to its extensive degradation in the body. the concentration ratio of DWP401 between the organ and plasma decreased especially in the liver and kidney as the dose and time after the dose increased. For example, the liver/plasma and kidney/plasma concentration ratio of DWP401 at 2.5 min after i.v. doses of 50 ${\mu}g$/kg were comparable and much larger than unity. But, the ratio at 2.5 min after i.v. doses of 500${\mu}g$/kg was much larger in the kidney that in than in the liver. These results suggest that the systemic administration of DWP401 might be subject to rapid and extensive clearance from circulation within several hour after main distrbution to liver and kidney.

  • We Observe a sequence of i. i. d random variables with density f or g. Only if g is true we should stop the process. Hence. the testing problem is completely described by a stopping time. Among all stopping times with error probability of first kind not exceeding a given bound, the one-sided sequential probability ratio test has smallest expected sample size if g is true. Moreover, the generalized one-sided SPRT has smallest expected sample size for g in the class of stopping times with expected sample size under f not falling below a given bound.

Post-pillars design for safe exploitation at Trepça hard rock mine (Kosovo) based on numerical modeling

  • In the mine exploitation stage; one of the critical issues is the stability assessment of post-pillars. The instability of post-pillars leads to serious safety hazards in mining operations. The focus of this study is to assess the stability of post-pillars in the 130# stope in the central ore body at Trepça hard rock mine by employing both conventional (i.e., critical span curve) and numerical methods (i.e., FLAC3D). Moreover, a new numerical based index (i.e., Pillar Yield Ratio-PYR) was proposed. The aim of PYR index is to determine a border line between stable, potentially unstable, and failure state of post-pillars at a specific mine site. The critical value of pillar width to height ratio is 2.5 for deep production stopes (e.g., > 800 m). Results showed that pillar size, mining height and mining depth significantly have affected the post-pillar stability. The reliability of numerical based index (i.e., PYR) is verified based on empirical underground pillar stability graph developed by Lunder, 1994. The proposed pillar yield ratio index and pillar stability graph can be used as a design tool in new mining areas at Trepça hard rock mine and for other situations with similar geotechnical conditions.

Peak mooring forces in the horizontal interlaced multi-layered moored floating pipe breakwater

  • Present study aims to investigate the influence of relative breakwater width W/L (W=width of breakwater, L=wavelength), wave steepness $H_i/gT^2$ (Hi=incident wave height, T=wave period) and relative wave height d/W (d=water depth) on forces in the moorings of horizontal interlaced multi-layered moored floating pipe breakwater (HIMMFPB) model. Studies were conducted on scaled down physical models having three layers of Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC) pipes, wave steepness $H_i/gT^2$ varying from 0.063 to 0.849, relative width W/L varying from 0.4 to 2.65 and relative spacing S/D=2 (S=horizontal centre-to-centre spacing of pipes, D=diameter of pipes). Peak mooring forces were also measured and data collected is analyzed by plotting non-dimensional graphs depicting variation of $f_s/{\gamma}W^2$ ($f_s$=Sea side Mooring force, ${\gamma}$=specific weight of water) & $f_l/{\gamma}W^2$ ($f_l$=Lee side Mooring force) with $H_i/gT^2$ for d/W varying from 0.082 to 0.276 and also variation of $f_s/{\gamma}W^2$ and $f_l/{\gamma}W^2$ with W/L for $H_i$/d varying from 0.06 to 0.400.

  • To investigate the influence of cross section geometries on the behavior of composite beams in the case of small span to depth ratio and deep beams. the static flexural behavior of composite I-beams and Box- beams was evaluated. 12 types of composite I -beams composed of LVL flanges and particleboard or plywood web and 3 types of composite Box-beams composed of LVL flanges and plywood web were tested under one-point loading. The load-deflection curves were almost linear to failure, therefore, the behavior of tested composite beams was elastic. The theoretical flexural rigidity of composite beams was calculated and compared with observed flexural rigidity. The highest value was found in I-W type beams and the lowest value was found in G-P type beams. The difference between theoretical and observed flexural rigidity was small. Theoretical total deflection of tested composite beams was calculated using flexural rigidity and compared with actual deflection. Shear deflection of these beams was evaluated by the approximation method, solid crosss section method and elementary method. The difference between actual deflection and expected deflection was not found in D, E and F type beams. This defference was small in G, H and I type beams or Box-beam.

선망의 침강 저항 해석 - d/l이 다른 모형망의 경우 - (An Analysis of Sinking Resistance for Purse Seine - In the Case of the Model Seine with Different d/l -)

  • 그물실의 직경과 발 길이의 비율 d/l이 선망의 침강 운동에 어떤 영향을 끼칠 것인가를 해명하기 위해서 그물실의 직경은 0.45mm(PES 28 tex${\times}$2${\times}$2)의 것으로 모두 같고, 발 길이는 4.3, 5.0, 5.5, 6.0, 6.6 및 7.7mm로 각각 다르게 편망된 6종류의 무결절 그물감을 사용해서 뜸줄의 길이 450cm, 그물의 폭 85cm가 되도록 제작하고 뜸 160g과 발돌 50g을 매달아서, 각각 I,II,III,IV,V및 Ⅵ형 그물이라고 했다. 회류 수조의 수로 상에 투망 장치를 설치해서 정지 상태의 수중에 선망 그물을 투망하고 상방과 측면에 설치한 비디오 카메라를 사용하여 그물의 침강과정을 촬영 톡화했으며, 그물에 표시한 측정점의 좌표를 화상 해석 장치로 읽고 실험 값을 구했다. 그리고, Runge-Kutta-Gill법에 의한 연립 미분방정식 해법을 이용하여 수치 해석을 행하였으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1.그물 아랫자락의 침강속도는 d/l이 가장 작은 Ⅵ형 그물이 가장 빠르고, V,IV,III,II및 I형 그물 순으로 늦게 나타났다. 2.그물 벽에 대한 저항 계수는 d/l의 크기에 의존하여 $K{\arg}$=0.081$(d/l)^-0.5$의 관계식으로 나타낼 수 있었다. 3.그물 다발의 저항 계수는 d/l의 크기에 의존하지 않은 $C_R=0.91(\frac{p}{$p_u$})$의 관계식으로 나타낼 수 있었다.
