  • In this paper a remote monitoring and control system using SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol) for UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems is proposed. The local remote system by RS-232 or RS-485 communication code or the wide remote system by modems is used for conventional remote monitoring & control system for UPSs. But recently because of communication cost and long distance the system is changed to remote control systems through internet and information communication network. And serial communication method by RS-232 or RS-485 is used between agent and UPSs. In this study. we designed and developed the system which is able to control UPSs and to monitor errors. statuses and actual values transmitted from UPS through internet.

  • This paper describes the implementation of UPS system controlled by the DSP. The digital techniques have been used tn overcome the problems of UPS system controlled by analog control circuits. By developing these systems using the digital technique we could increase the reliability and improve the electrical characteristics. And we designed and developed the system which is able to control UPSs and to monitor errors, statuses and actual values transmitted from UPS through internet. The UPSs also impose high demands on battery life time, reliability and energy-efficiency. These requirements can only be met by employing sophisticated battery management system(BMS). Therefore, a highly accurate, universal and inexpensive measuring system for BMS was developed.

  • 본 논문에서는 납 축전지를 사용하는 산업용 전기차량의 SOC(State Of Charge)를 별도의 BMS(Battery Management System)장치 없이 추정하는 방법에 대해 기술한다. SOC를 추정하기 위한 기존의 전통적인 방법들 중 전력을 적산하는 방법(Ampere hour counting)이 널리 사용되는데 이는 장치의 내, 외적인 요인에 의해 발생한 오차가 누적될 수 있다. 배터리의 전압을 측정하여 SOC를 추정하는 OCV(Open Circuit Voltage) 방법은 배터리가 안정 상태에 도달하기까지 충분한 휴지 시간이 필요해 실시간으로 적용하기 힘들다. 이 외에 칼만 필터를 이용하는 방법은 시스템을 정확히 모델링해야 하고 계산이 복잡하다는 단점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 전력을 적산하는 방법을 기본으로 하고 배터리의 전압을 적절히 이용하여 누적되는 오차를 보정하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법에 대해 시뮬레이션 하고 실제로 산업용 차량인 AC 전동 지게차로 실험하여 그 타당성을 검증 하였다.

Analyzing Tesla's International Business Strategies: A Closer Look at the Korean and Chinese Markets

  • Purpose: Taking Tesla Motors as a case study object, this research aims to summarize the management strategy of Tesla Motors through an evaluation of its business models in Korea and China then helps other new energy automobile enterprises in formulating strategic directions in a targeted manner. Research design, data and methodology: Using the case study method, this study conducts in-depth research on the business model of Tesla, a representative enterprise of the new energy automobile industry. This study mainly uses secondary data obtained from the official websites to support our research. Results: With its top-level innovative technology, distinctive marketing model, and extensive strategic model, Tesla holds the largest share of the new energy vehicle market. Local market brands such as BYD and Hyundai-Kia still have a considerable competitive advantage, and there is a need to learn from each other for further development. Conclusions: To adapt to the needs of economic transformation and environmental development, implementing business strategies related to new energy automobile enterprises is a topic worthy of study. Enterprises such as BYD and Hyundai-Kia have unique advantages in their home markets. However, as sustainable development progresses, these advantages will gradually weaken, and further measures are necessary to maintain their competitive advantage.

  • In this study, the shock resistance of a gas turbine package subjected to a shock load caused by non-contact underwater explosion was investigated using numerical analysis. To perform shock analysis, the time-history shock load was calculated according to BV-043 (German Navy Regulation). The direct transient response analysis in the time domain for the simplified Whole Engine Model (WEM) was performed using the calculated shock load. In addition, the structural integrity of a detailed model was evaluated by considering the shock load transferred to each component. As a result, it was confirmed that the safety factor was at least 1.0 as compared with the reference stress. Finally, the structural and functional integrity of the Engine Management System (EMS) of the gas turbine package was verified through an actual shock test.

  • 침몰한 잠수함 승조원의 구조용으로 사용되는 구난잠수정은 주 전원과 보조전원으로 축전지가 필수적으로 사용된다. 그러나 사용 중인 축전지 모듈이나 뱅크의 일부 셀(Cell)에 불량이 발생하면 전체 축전지 뱅크의 기능이 저하되어 구난정 시스템을 적절히 운영하지 못하여 제대로 임무를 수행하지 못하거나 커다란 손실을 가져온다. 그리고 축전지에 과 충전이나 과 방전이 발생하면 축전지가 폭발하여 화재가 발생하거나 축전지 내부 구조의 파괴로 더 이상 사용 못하는 경우가 발생한다. 따라서 이와 같이 축전지에 손상을 줄 수 있는 상황을 미연에 방지하여 축전지가 최적의 동작 상태를 유지할 수 있도록 해주고 전체 시스템의 신뢰성을 향상시키기 위하여 본 논문에서는 구조잠수정용 리튬폴리머 (Lithium Polymer) 축전지 관리장치의 개발을 수행하였다. 본 논문을 통해 축전지 관리 장치(BMS : Battery Management System)의 핵심기술인 H/W 및 S/W 설계기술, 각 Cell의 전압 제어기술, SOC(State of Charge) 제어 알고리즘 도출 및 시스템 운영 기술을 구현하였으며 개발된 알고리즘과 기능은 충 방전 부하시험과 한국 선급인증시험을 통해 유효한 방식임을 확인하였다.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the global value chain of the global automotive industry to investigate the success factors through the example of the value chain of Hyundai Motor. It looks at the value chain of the well-known Korean automaker, Hyundai Motor, to find success factors with cases. It examines the process to build the supply chain of Hyundai Motor to analyze what impact it has on the growth of Hyundai Motor to look closely at the vertical division of labor of vehicle parts manufacturers. Korea's automobile industry has been expanding cooperation between two sectors as a multifunctional promotion focusing on electronic communications technology in machinery and technology center. Through introducing the nation's first vertical integration in the sector, Hyundai Motor has secured competitiveness of cost reduction and prestige car production. Hyundai Motor has operated and established factories in the United States, India, Turkey, the Czech Republic, Russia, and Brazil. Hyundai Motor operates 51 affiliates, such as Hyundai Mobis, by restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and building their own vertical division of labor around it. Hyundai Motor has been overcoming dependence on foreign modules businesses and maintaining the supply value chain around Hyundai Mobis.

  • This paper describes introductory remarks on risk management and risk-based design for ships and offshore installations with potential hazards. Clients' requirements on safety and performance was related to the risk management and risk-based design. A general procedure for risk-based design was also suggested with each step explained in detail. Various risk-based design approaches were emphasized with their needs and methodological characteristics taken into account. Related rules, standards, and regulations were summarized. The last part included recommendations for Korean ship building industries about the risk management and risk-based design.
