The most important parameter for hydraulic active suspension system is to sustain desirable vehicle maneuvering stability and ride comfort without increasing consumption power. The performance of hydraulic active suspension system depends on damping force of body damping valve and piston damping valve. Hydraulic actuator design and damping valve parameter selection are essential and basic procedure to design hydraulic active suspension system. This paper is on computer simulation with use of mathematical model that was delivered from dynamic characteristic of hydraulic actuator, as know basic damping characteristics of hydraulic active suspension system. The aim of this paper is to select the system parameter that affect mainly hydraulic active suspension, and identify the validity on the system parameter selection.

In General, the hydraulic system of T-50 Advanced Trainer is applied to flight control system, wheel & Brake system and fuel system for aircraft operation. The hydraulic system is operation with pressure of 3000psi. and many mechanical parts which is operated by hydraulic system has been stressed in incomplete environment same as heat and friction. for example, Oil leakage had occurred in the shutoff valve of FFP used in a certain period of time. After study, The crack progressed by fatigue due to the irregular hydraulic pressure and vibration has been identified as the reason of oil leakage. This paper presents life cycle extension plans of FFP shutoff valve by configuration improvements of shutoff valve and FFP hydraulic motor.
The electro-hydraulic servo system with a servo valve is applied widely in force control. However, the composition of control system using a servo valve is difficult due to nonlinearities in the servo valve, such as square-root terms in flow equation. The electro-hydraulic servo system using a DDV(Direct Drive Valve) instead of a servo valve was proposed and it's characteristics was estimated. The DDV and whole system are modelled by parameter identification using the input-and-output data, then the models are verified by the comparison of simulation with experiment. Also, the state feedback controller has been designed based on this model, then the performance of the electro-hydraulic force servo system using a DDV is evaluated by simulation and experimental results.
In light of the environmental challenges, energy-saving strategies are currently under investigation in the construction industry. This paper focuses on the energy-saving method used in the hydraulic system based on independent metering (IM) technologies, which can overcome the lost energy at the main control valve of the conventional electrohydraulic servo system. By scientifically arranging the proportional valves, the IM system can individually control the flow rate of the inlet and the outlet ports of the actuators. In addition, the IMV system can be used to effectively regenerate energy under different operating modes, thereby saving more energy than conventional hydraulic systems. Therefore, the IMV system has a great potential to improve the energy efficiency of hydraulic machinery. The overall IMV system, including the configuration, proportional valve, operation mode, and the control strategy is introduced via state-of-the-art hydraulic technologies. Finally, the challenges of IM systems are discussed to provide researchers with directions for future development.
A rear axle steering (RAS) system is attached to the rear of medium and large commercial vehicles that transport large cargo. The existing RAS systems are driven by electro-hydraulic actuator (EHA), and most commercialized EHAs consist of electric motors, hydraulic pumps, relief valves, prefill valves and cylinders. The prefill valve required for such EHAs is a type of check valve with extremely low cracking pressure that should not allow RAS to have noise or vibration, and the prefill valve prevents system negative pressure as well as unstable operation. Most papers on this topic rely on experiments to predict valve performance, and theoretically detailed modeling of valves or pipelines is performed, but it is very rare to evaluate hydraulic vibration characteristics by analysing everything from hydraulic pumps to valves comprehensively. In this study, we proposed an experimental circuit that can predict the performance of the prefill valve. The study also analysed the pressure-flow pulsation that is transmitted to the valve through the pipeline, and how the transmitted pressure-flow pulsation affects the valve vibration.
The typical hydraulic system of hoist is composed of a hydraulic supply unit, a directional control valve, counter balance valve, and flow control valves. The flow capacity coefficients of flow control valves should be adjusted so that the hoist is operated at moderate speed and the hydraulic energy loss is minimized. However, it is difficult to adjust the flow coefficients of flow control valves by trial and error for optimal operation. Here, the steady state model of the hoist hydraulic system including the differential cylinder circuit is derived and the optimal flow capacity coefficients of flow control valves are obtained using the complex method that is one kind of constrained direct search method.

This study deals with the application of high speed on-off valves to an electro-hydraulic servo indexing system incorporated electro-hydraulic servo valces. Comparing with the electro-hydraulic servo valve the high speed on-off valve has some merits. Which included low price robustness to the oil contamination and dircect control without D/A converter. The considered sys-tem of this study is controlled by pulse width modulation(PWM) of the control law which is pro-duced by a PID controller which is used broadly in industrial equipments. The dynamic character-istics corresponding to variations of system parameters such as inertia moment system gain and supply pressure are investigated by computer simulation and experiment. Consequently the availability of the application of high speed on-off valve to servo indexing system instead of electro-hydraulic servo valve is confirmed.
In this work, a circuit with a hydraulic power unit is formulated as a means of predicting the behavior of the prefill valve in the future. The behavior of the prefill valve can be examined by the measurements of the configured power unit, and the performance is determined by using hydraulic pumps, relief valves, and hydraulic hoses that make up the power unit. In particular, pressure/flow pulsation generated by hydraulic pumps can cause instability in the prefill valve and cause noise-induced degradation of the overall performance and reliability of the hydraulic system containing the prefill valve. Therefore, to study the behavior and performance of the prefill valve in a relatively accurate manner, the prediction of the characteristics of the hydraulic power unit driving the prefill valve is very important. In this study, the pulsation characteristics of the hydraulic pump were analyzed to theoretically demonstrate its relationship with different settings of the power unit, such as relief valve pressure settings and the presence/absence of the hose.
The load-sensing hydraulic system which was developed to improve energy efficiency of conventional hydraulic systems has its own properties. The instability of system responses, linearity of a servo valve, robustness for variation of external load, and dynamic interference between hydraulic motors are such properties which have much to do with control properties of the system. The load-sensing hydraulic system has instability tendancy because the load-sensing mechanism makes a positive feedback loop between the motor part and the pump part. A flow property of the servo valve can be said to be linear because the flow through the valve has nothing to do with a load pressure and the flow is strictly proportional to a valve opening which is adjusted by a valve command signal. The resultant control property can be said to be robust because the steady-state control performance is independent to the load actuated on the motor shaft. In the case when one pump simultaneously drives more than two hydraulic motors, the pump outlet pressure is determined by a hydraulic motor of the largest load pressure among all of the hydraulic motors, and, thus, the other motors are dominated by the largest load pressure. That is, the other motors can be said to be interfered by the motor of the largest load pressure.
