In this study, the maximum system efficiency of the electro-hydrostatic actuators was experimentally investigated, where small size external gear pumps with volumetric displacement under 1.3 cc/rev were combined with a 400W servomotor as the prime mover. Since the efficiency data of the servomotor, gear pumps and hydraulic cylinder were not provided by the suppliers, experimental apparatuses for their efficiency measurement were extra built up. When a gear pump with a volumetric displacement of 1.27cc/rev was used on an electro-hydrostatic actuator system, the maximum system efficiency was not higher than 70%. This was because the most effective operation ranges of the motor and pump did not coincide each other. In order to match their operation ranges as one of the most crucial design factors, a speed reduction mechanism can be used, such as a timing belt. It was shown in the study that the maximum system efficiency could be increased from 70% to 76% in that way.

This study conducted the measurements of air flow rate for blower systems with experiment and numerical. A new airflow rate test method is suggested, with which it is possible to accurate measurements and calculate the air flow rate for blower systems. The blower(axial fan) is an industrial fluid machine device that supplies a large amount of air by driving an impeller with an electric motor, and it is widely used throughout the industry such as steel, power plant, chemical, semiconductor, LC D, food, and cement. The airflow from the blower is for exchanging the heat in the cooling unit or heat exchanger. The temperature of coolants and hydraulic oil primarily depends on the amount of airflow rate through the cooling package so its accurate estimation is very important. Moreover, it required a larger investment in time and cost since it could not be executed until the system is actually made. Therefore, this research is intended to examine the phenomenon of air flow pattern when testing air flow rate, suggested new test method, and show the result of the validation test.

The goal of this research is to verify a performance test system for a low speed, high torque, and harsh reducer at low cost. The reducer rotates a cooling fan with a diameter of 10 meters, in a high temperature (50℃) cooling tower in a geothermal power plant. It requires about 500 kgf·m torque and 47.75 kW power to rotate the fan at a maximum power condition. An expensive dynamometer is commonly used for performance test of a motor or a reducer. In this paper, a low cost system is developed using a hydraulic pump as a load unit to generate torque instead of a dynamometer. We accurately calculated the required power, the flow meter, and the pressure of the pump, and selected to design and optimize the system at minimal cost. The system also applied another reverse reducer and a gearbox to increase the rotational speed and to reduce the torque from the low speed and high torque target reducer. This allows low-cost systems to be built using inexpensive components. The developed system was able to successfully measure the high torque and the low rotational speed of the target reducer at high temperature.
In order to improve the implementation of safety and health education at the site for industrial accident prevention activities, research was conducted to minimize inconvenience and increase utilization by redesigning and developing existing education methods. To date, occupational safety and health education has been conducted without considering the general work characteristics and functional facilities (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, chemical) of workers (mechanical: turbine, valve, pump, hydraulic system, electrical: generator, breaker, motor, etc.). In particular, plant facilities were classified as mechanical and electrical facilities to improve the methodology for industrial safety and health education for plant maintenance workers. In addition, the "One Page Education Plan" was announced as a learning case because the spread of COVID-19 infectious diseases made it impossible to reduce or control the number of people in all groups and groups. The improvement of this training method will play a major role in improving the effectiveness of safety education in power plant workplaces.

This paper presents the power management strategies for a compound hybrid excavator. The compound hybrid excavator has been replaced the hydraulic swing motor to the electric swing motor. This excavator requires a proper control algorithm to regulate the energy flow between the mechanical coupling and the electric devices. The controller should improve fuel economy and maintain the super capacitor voltage within a proper range. A thermostat controller and ECMS controller are designed such that these objectives can be achieved. The thermostat controller regulates the power of the engine-assist motor on the basis of the super capacitor voltage, and the ECMS controller determines it using the real-time fuel minimization strategy based on the concept of equivalent fuel. Simulation results showed that by using the hybrid excavator, the fuel economy becomes about 20% higher than that obtained using the conventional excavator and that the ECMS controller outperforms the thermostat controller.

This study was initiated to solve the difficulties of aged and female workers in agriculture society due to aging and demise of young people. In the case of the conventional elevated lift, the risk of exposure to uneven road or work environment, not the difficulty of professional qualification and operation, and the risk of exposure to the uneven road or working environment, were also studied based on previous researches so that women could easily and efficiently perform productive agriculture. First, the simulation was carried out through the prediction model of traction performance using the object of agricultural forklift, and the soil of the Kimhae city in Gyeongnam (34.125kPa, internal friction angle 35.294deg, external friction angle 13.620deg, Adhesion force 5.750 kPa, average cone index 0-15 cm cl, 1001.8 kPa). In the case of the forklift for simulation, the driving force and the kinetic resistance prediction modeling of the agricultural electric forklift are modeled. Based on this model, the motor control drive adopts the 1232E model, which is a drive dedicated to AC motor, and divides the two drivers into master and slave And the model for the simulation was designed to control motor drive, hydraulic drive, and various outputs on the main PCB. The simulation model is undergoing continuous simulation, modification and supplementation. Based on this research, we will continue research for development of safer and more efficient agricultural electric forklift.

A small hydraulic winch system with an automatic tension control unit was designed to improve the work efficiency of coastal small vessels and the dynamic response characteristics of the winch system operated in the open loop condition was investigated. The inlet and the outlet pressures in hydraulic motor, the torque and the rotating speed of winch drum were measured as a function of time, and the behaviour in autotension mode for stepped load changes was analyzed. The results obtained are summarized as follows : 1. The developed winch system for coastal small vessels will result in better fishing with improved efficiency and lower manpower consumption by remote control of winch system. 2. The rotating delay times of winch drum for on/off operations of solenoid valve were 0.09 see at CW mode and 0.04 sec at CCW mode, respectively. After the solenoid valve was controlled, response characteristics were unstable slightly but showed good tracking behaviour over short time. 3. The driving torque of winch system in autotension mode was kept almost constant of 55.9 kgf·m, and 11.1 then the rotating speed of winch drum was kept almost constant of 5.1 rpm in the larger torque than 55.9 kgf·m and 11.1 rpm in the lower torque than that. 4. The 5% settling times in the transient response characteristics of autotension mode under rapid increasing and decreasing conditions of load were 0.12 sec and 0.2 sec, respectively, and then the rotating speeds were 11 rpm and 5.3 rpm, respectively. 5. The tracking behaviour of torque and rotating speed by remote control operation were stable within 0.23 sec at CW mode and 0.37 sec at CCW mode, respectively.

Purpose: The development of compact tractors that can be used in dry fields, greenhouses, and orchards for pest control, weeding, transportation, and harvesting is necessary. The development and performance evaluation of power transmission units are very important when it comes to tractor development. This study evaluates the performance of a driving power transmission unit of a 50 kW multi-purpose narrow tractor. Methods: The performance of the transmission and forward-reverse clutch, which are the main components of the driving power transmission unit of multi-purpose narrow tractors, was evaluated herein. The transmission performance was evaluated in terms of power transmission efficiency, noise, and axle load, while the forward-reverse clutch performance was evaluated in terms of durability. The transmission's power transmission efficiency accounts for the measurement of transmission losses, which occur in the transmission's gear, bearing, and oil seal. The motor's power was input in the transmission's input shaft. The rotational speed and torque were measured in the final output shaft. The noise was measured at each speed level after installing a microphone on the left, right, and upper sides. The axle load test was performed through a continuous equilibrium load test, in which a constant load was continuously applied. The forward-reverse clutch performance was calculated using the engine torque to axle torque ratio with the assembled engine and transmission. Results: The loss of power in the transmission efficiency test of the driving power unit was 6.0-9.7 kW based on all gear steps. This loss of horsepower was equal to 11-18% of the input power (52 kW). The transmission efficiency of the driving power unit was 81.5-89.0%. The noise of the driving power unit was 50-57 dB at 800 rpm, 70-77 dB at 1600 rpm, and 76-83 dB at 2400 rpm. The axle load test verified that the input torque and axle revolutions were constant. The results of the forward-reverse clutch performance test revealed that hydraulic pressure and torque changes were stably maintained when moving forward or backward, and its operation met the hydraulic design standards. Conclusions: When comprehensively examined, these research results were similar to the main driving power transmission systems from USA and Japan in terms of performance. Based on these results, tractor prototypes are expected to be created and supplied to farmhouses after going through sufficient in-situ adaptability tests.
This study was conducted to develop the semi-crawler type mini-forwarder that can be operated comfortable small-scale logging operation in the steep terrain and also used at a variety of operations such as the civil work in erosion control and forest-road. Considering the minimum turning radius and the width of forest operation road, the total length, width and loading capacity of the semi-crawler type mini-forwarder is 5,750 mm, 1,900 mm and $2.5m^{3}$, respectively. The maximum engine power is 96ps at 3600 rpm. Selected hydraulic pumps are consists of two main pumps and two sub-main pumps. Main hydraulic pumps are utilized to running motor of the front wheel and rear crawler. Sub-main pumps are utilized to the actuation parts such as steering, crane, out-rigger and dump cylinder. The transmission was adapted as the HST (Hydro-Static Transmission) system. The driving parts are designed and manufactured as the front wheel type and the rear crawler type. The steering type was manufactured as the ackerman type. Driving control parts type was designed and manufactured as driver's seat type of normal cars. It is also attached on auxiliary equipments such as winch, log grapple and out-rigger. The traveling speed of the semi-crawler type mini-forwarder in forest road was 5.3 km/hr to 7.7 km/hr.
