Manufacturing of a Prototype Hybrid Step Motor and Evaluation of Its Characteristics (하이브리드 스텝모터의 시작품 제작 및 특성시험에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, an efficient method of a hybrid stepping motor is proposed using permeance method. To be specific, hybrid stepping motor is modelled firstly as an equivalent nonlinear magnetic circuit including the saturation effects of iron parts, and then the static holding torque of the motor is calculated as a function of each design factor via Newton-Raphson's method. To show the validities of the proposed method, a prototype of hybrid stepping motor for 5 1/4 inches FDD header drive is made and tested in laboratory. As a result, the experimental data for the static holding torque is shown to be within 10% error compared with that of the simulated results.

  • The hybrid step motor has found applications in a wide range of mechanical systems as a low cost, open-loop positioning device. The step motor provides good stiffness at rest against disturbing load influences, a combination of moderate speed fine resolution, high reliability and simplicity. In recent years, considerable competition has arisen over the technological issue of wheather the device should be applied as a 2-Phase or 5-Phase machine. In this paper, to compare two systems, we have atempted to derive the mathematical. model, and analysed operating detent torque with this model. The analysis shows that a fundamental component of the permeance distribution produces the average torque and that harmonic components produce the ripple torque.

  • In this paper, a voltage equations, a thrust force equations and kinetic equation are derived from the basic structure of a 2-phase hybrid type linear stepping motor(HLSM). And a micro-stepping method in order to eliminate effectively the resonant phenomena and to increase the positional resolution of the HLSM was proposed. The proposed micro-stepping method can divide one step into the maximum 128 micro-steps under simple control system. The dynamic characteristics of proposed micro-stepping method were analyzed by the ACSL(Advanced Continuous Simulation Language) with the voltage equations, the thrust force equations and the kinetic equation, and were measured by laser experimental system. As the result, the justice of theory was confirmed, and the resonant phenomena, the positional resolution and dynamic thrust were improved by the proposed micro-stepping method.

  • The subject of this study is to improve the position performance of the linear motion for hybrid type Linear Pulse Motor (HLPM). Generally, there are two applicable methods to ensure precise position control ; a good processing method. This paper is suggested an electrical 125 microstep driving method so as to achieves the excellent control performance, besides the small mechanical manufacture of teeth pitch. The compensation method of digital PI control is apply to step response of stable position control, step error, vibration suppression and the approach to high stability, and the Ziegler-Nichols tuning method is applied to the proper design of control parameter. The proposed control method has been verified by simulation results of the suitable gain and phase margin of bode plot, and from experiment result of step response.

  • This paper did the study target for modeling, characteristics analysis and harmonic reduce with the detent torque of a 4 phase and 5 phase hybrid type step motor. For this, it was attempted to derive the mathematical modeling and used the permeance method for flux field analysis. Through this analysis result, this paper acquired the detent torque of this model. To compare the characteristics analysis of phase difference with two motors structure it have obtained to derive the operating detent torque with this model. Here, 5 phase motor has known the harmonic reduce of detail torque compare with 4 phase motor. Also, that has showed to improved the step response.   • This paper presents dynamic characteristic of a 2 phase hybrid stepping motor which includes pull-out torque with constant voltage drive and one step response. In order to analyze this characteristics, vector diagram of a synchronous motor and torque-voltage equation are used. Analytic results are good agreement with experimental results.

  • The permanent magnet in hybrid step motor is magnetized to the axial direction. Accordingly the 2D analysis method such as 2D finite element method cannot guarantee the analysis accuracy. In this paper, the characteristics of hybrid type step motor are analyzed by using 3D equivalent magnetic circuit network method(3D EMCNM). 3D EMCNM supplements magnetic equivalent circuit by numerical technique using distributive magnetic circuit parameter and 3D EMCNM is used for the accurate and efficient analysis. The validity of the analysis results is confirmed by comparing with the experimental ones.

  • As a stringing troy wire is installed by manual operation, it is necessary to scheme the automatic system for stringing troy wire. To accomplish a task of this kind, in this paper an approach to designing controllers for the hybrid Position/Tension control of a stringing troy wire is presented. Position control system is designed based on equation of dc motor and motion equation of robot, it is controlled by feedback with a detected speed dc motor. Tension control system is designed based on equation of ac servomotor for generating torque and dynamic equation of a troy wire, it is controled by feedback with a detected tension. The control parameters is determined by simulation in independence operation of each system. To suppress a mutual interference that the disturbance occur in operating of two task at same time. Dynamic hybrid control is proposed by feed forward compensator with a disturbance accelerator and a step torque at start. The operation of proposed system is simulated and experimented, results is verified the utilities.
