Design of 1kW Hybrid CC/CV PCS (정전류·정전압 기능의 1kW급 하이브리드 PCS 설계)

  • Lack of proper amount of sun lights and wind strength which are major factors of solar power and wind power system may cause poor electric power generation and decrease the lifetime of batteries that are major energy saving units. Because the PCS, which is essential in solar and wind power system, for small power generation system has been rarely developed an efficient and stable PCS for small power generation system is highly required. In this paper, we design a new constant current/constant voltage type hybrid PCS by which stand alone/grid connected operation with commercial power system is available and implement the designed PCS as a protype for performance verification.

  • The on-grid distributed power system operated antiislanding due to the momently voltage sag of the power system, fault and etc. According to the 'Dispersed Generations in Distribution Systems Connection Technology Standard', the utilizable time ratio of PCS is low because of being put into in the steady state of the power system after 5 minutes. In this paper, the output characteristic is optimized with the hybrid system consisting of the wind system and PV system. And energy of hybrid system is supplied to the power system. Also, DVR function was applied to PCS to compensate the voltage sag frequently happening for a power system. The control performance of the proposed hybrid PCS is analyzed and simulated using PSIM to validate the system performace.

  • In recent years, technology for storing a preliminary power or a surplus of photovoltaic energy is required. This technique, as well as store a preliminary energy and improve the reliability of the gird safety. This system can plan a efficient power generation through the flexibility of the power supply from the perspective of not only provider but also user. Accordingly, the realization of the smart grid can be expected. This paper proposes a hybrid PCS using a photovoltaic and a lithium-polymer battery with the characteristics of high density energy. The main energy source of a hybrid PCS is a photovoltaic, grid and the auxiliary energy source is a lithium-polymer battery. The operation of a proposed system in this paper is verified with simulation and experimental results.

  • 본 논문은 DC Common 방식의 Hybrid PCS (Power Conditioning System)의 해외 실증사례에 대해 서술하고 있다. 본 시스템은 계통, PV(Photovoltaic), BESS (Battery Energy Storage System)로 구성되어 있으며 UAE의 Dubai에 60kW급 2기, 200kW급 1기를 실증한 사례를 설명한다. 각 구성품 들의 사양과 Destin Power사 Hybrid PCS를 소개하고 사양을 서술하였으며 실제 운영을 통하여 제품의 신뢰성을 검증하였다.

  • In this paper, we modeled the devices used easily in PV system circuits. In addition, for full operation of the photovoltaic system, a complete operation system for the DC-DC buck-boost converter and the MPPT control system was modeled and simulated to confirm good operation. we were constructed an actual system with the same conditions in the simulation and experimented. The purpose is to confirm the stable power supply through the load leveling by presenting the PCS considering ESS of photovoltaic power generation. we will do study to apply hybrid capacitors that have high energy density to the same size compared to the EDLC to DVR. As a result, we proposed a single-phase 3 kW grid-connected solar power converter.

A Study on the Synthesis ann Pyrolytic Properties of SiC/Ti Hybrid Ceramic Precursor by Hydrolysis (가수분해에 의한 탄화규소/티타늄 혼성 세라믹 전구체 합성과 열분해 특성에 관한 연구)

  • In order to increase the thermal stability at high temperatures, new hybrid ceramic percursors were synthesized by chemical modification of polycarbosilane (PCS). The structure of hybrid ceramic percursors were investigated by using FT-IR and $^1$H-NMR spectrometers. The syntheses of hybrid ceramic precursors were confirmed by monitoring the change of the adsorption peaks appearing at 0893, 1092, 609 $cm^{-1}$ / on the FT-IR spectra, and also by the presence of peaks at 3.8, 2.0, 0.6 ppm on the $^1$H-NMR spectra. The conversion of hybrid ceramic percursor was around 74 and 10 wt% higher than that of the pure PCS. After the heat-treatment at 150$0^{\circ}C$, the crystalline peaks for $\beta$-SiC were observed at 2$\theta$=35.7, 42.2, 61.0$^{\circ}$ on the X-ray powder diffractogram. It showed the conversion of hybrid ceramic percursor to crystalline $\beta$-SiC.

  • 본 연구에서는 실증기능 구현을 위해 75KW로 설계된 리튬-폴리머배터리(Lithium Polymer Battery 이하 배터리)와 ESS(Energy Storage System) 내장형 Hybrid-PCS(이하 PCS)을 이용하여 불균일한 풍력 발전원에 대한 Smoothing 제어 및 정출력 제어 대한 연구를 진행 하였다. 잦은 전류 변동으로 인해 발생되는 출력 변동의 안정화를 위해 인버터 전류제어, 벅/부스트 전압제어 기법을 사용하였다. 최적의 Smoothing 제어를 위한 필터 계수 값을 찾기 위한 시험을 진행 하였으며 Energy shift을 위한 정출력 시험도 진행 하였다. 또한 각 제어 모드에서 ESS 중요 파라미터인 SOC(State Of Charge 이하 SOC)변화를 배터리 특성과 관련하여 분석해 보았다.

Bond Strength and Corrosion Resistance of Coated Reinforcing Bar Using Hybrid-Type Polymer Cement Slurry (Hybrid형 폴리머 시멘트 슬러리로 도장한 철근의 부착강도와 부식저항성)

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the bond strength and corrosion resistance of coated reinforcing bar using hybrid-type polymer cement slurry(PCS). PCS coated steels, which is made from two types of polymer dispersions such as St/BA and EVA are prepared, and tested for bond strength and various corrosion resistances such as autoclaved cure, carbonation and H2SO4 solution. From the test results, the bond strength of PCS coated reinforcing bar using ordinary portland cement at 1-5, 2-1 and 4-5 of mixes is higher than that of uncoated regular steel. However, bond strength of almost PCS coated reinforcing bars using ultra rapid high strength cement is higher than that of epoxy coated bar, is also in ranges of 102% to 123% compared to that of uncoated regular steel. In autoclaved accelerating test, the ratio of corrosion of uncoated regular steel is increased with the increase in NaCl content, but the corrosion of PCS coated steel was very small. In the acceleration test for carbonation, increasing the amount of NaCl the corrosion of coated steel did not produce. The corrosion of uncoated regular steel is increased with the increase in the amount of NaCl. It can be seen that the NaCl following the acceleration test for carbonation can lower the corrosion resistance of concrete. As a result, the corrosion of steel largely is affected by the acceleration curing, chloride ion penetration and carbonation and shown more severe corrosion by applying complex factors. These corrosions of steel can be suppressed by the coating of PCS.

The relationship between reinforcing index and flexural parameters of new hybrid fiber reinforced slab

  • In this paper, a new hybrid fiber system (NHFS) is investigated for the application of slab. The steel fiber, polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) fiber and calcium carbonate ($CaCO_3$) whisker is added to form NHFS. The four-point bending test is carried out on the flexural properties of slab with plain, steel fiber, traditional hybrid fiber system (THFS) and NHFS reinforced cementitious composites. The flexural behavior is evaluated by ASTM C1018-97, JCI-SF4 and post-crack strength (PCS) technique. The evaluation parameters of flexural toughness such as toughness index (TI), equivalent flexural strength (EFS) and PCS are determined. The size of slab specimens is $15mm(thickness){\times}50mm(width){\times}200mm(length)$. The results show that adding $CaCO_3$ whisker to THFS can significantly improve the flexural strength, TI, EFS, PCS of the slab. The empirical relation between reinforcing index ($RI_v$) and flexural parameters show that flexural parameters of slabs increase first and then decrease; which indicates that optimum $RI_v$ values can be helpful in the considering the mix design of steel-PVA fibers-$CaCO_3$ whisker composites for achieving the desired flexural-related properties. The scanning electron microscopy is performed to observe the micro-morphological characteristics of the fracture surface, which proved the positive hybrid effect among the different fibers in cementitious composites. The NHFS can arrest the generation and propagation of the crack from micro to macro level.

Hybrid MIMO Antenna for the Mobile Handset (휴대 단말기용 하이브리드 MIMO 안테나)

  • A hybrid MIMO(Multi Input Multi Output) antenna which is operating both a monopole and a IFA(Inverted F Antenna) is designed. It's applied Vlade(Vertical lade) technique to reduce antenna space, and a diagonally fed MIMO antenna is designed on the bare board for the data communication. Return losses due to variables of antenna length are simulated for the design. Antenna for the hexa-frequency band of LTE700, CDMA, GSM, DCS, PCS and WCDMA is designed and implemented. This antenna is satisfied 3:1 VSWR over the whole design band by the measurement of return loss. And average gains and efficiencies were -3.67 ~ -2.53dBi and 42.06 ~ 55.84% for LTE700/CDMA/GSM frequency band, -3.27 ~ -1.21dBi and 47.08 ~ 75.6% for DCS/PCS/WCDMA frequency band. The isolation between 2 antenna that is one of important factors for the MIMO system was measured good performance as -8.14 ~ -25.77dB over the whole service band.
