DC-DC 전력변환장치용 Hybrid EMI 필터 개발 (Development of the Hybrid EMI Filter for DC-DC Converter)

  • Recently, using the electronic devices was increased with semiconductor developments. So, the EMI(Electromagnetic interference) problem become to important issue for coexistence with each electronic devices. The EMI is caused by switching operation from the power switches as the FET and the transistor in power conversion devices. In this paper, the hybrid EMI filter that composed with active components and passive components was described. The EMI filter is applied to the 160 watts LED driver experimentally verify the performance. The hybrid EMI filter is compared with non-filter, only passive filter and only active filter. The proposed EMI filter attenuated CM noise more than traditional passive filter.

LED 가로등 구동용 하이브리드 태양광 전원장치 개발 (Development of Solar Power System of Driving a Hybrid LED Streetlight)

  • 태양광 가로등 시스템에 사용되는 전원 장치는 배터리 충전을 위한 충전기와 LED Lamp를 구동하기 위한 LED 드라이버로 구성되어 있는데 일반적인 시스템에서는 별도의 전원장치로 구성되어 있다. 본 연구에서는 충전기와 LED 드라이버를 한 개의 전원장치로 구성하였다. 특히 장치의 효율을 높이기 위하여 계통 연계형 태양광 발전시스템에 적용하는 최대전력추적(Maximum Power Point Tracking: MPPT) 방식을 충전기에 적용하였다. LED 드라이버에 필수적인 정전류 방식은 충전기의 전류제어 루틴을 사용하여 구현하였다.

PHEV용 Charge Indicator 시험기 개발 (Development of Charge Indicator Inspection System for Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle)

  • In this work, we have developed a test system to examine whether the charge indicator of the plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) works properly or not. In PHEV, the driver should charge the necessary electricity by plugging in manually and be able to know the charging status through the charge indicator conveniently located for the charging individual. Our system used the CAN bus to transmit the same commands from ECU to the indicator to test the proper operation of the indicator lights. It measured the electric current values during operation and analyzed to determine the quality of the indicators. The inspection items included the proper packaging, the electrical shorts, the LED lighting during charging, the LED lighting for charging failure, and the LED lighting when errors occur. We developed the system for the operators in the factory allowing them to approve the test results at the site. We developed the hardware, the control software, and the software to store the test results and the history of the products in the database. Serial numbers were given to the good quality products and the bar code labels were printed to trace the products afterwards. Through this work, we developed a system to inspect the electric parts in real time upon fabrication. We are planning to further improve our system to inspect the brightness of the indicator by adding the vision inspection in future.

POSS계 첨가제를 가지는 실리콘 젤의 제조와 LED 봉지재 응용 (Preparation of Silicon-Based Hybrid Gels with POSS Additives and Their Application to LED Encapsulants)

  • 고경도의 LED 봉지재로 치밀한 구조를 가지는 polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane(POSS)를 첨가제로 사용한 실리콘 젤을 제조하였다. 실록산 수지와의 상용성을 증가시키기 위하여 알킬기와 올리고실록산기를 가지로 갖는 POSS를 합성하였다. Hydrosilylation 반응을 통하여 가지와 POSS를 연결하였고, 1-decanol과 9-decen-1-ol의 반응에는 $H_2PtCl_6$을, 말단에 비닐기를 가지는 올리고실록산의 반응에는 1,3-divinyl tetramethyldisiloxane[Pt(dvs)]을 촉매로 사용하였다. 알킬기를 가지는 POSS(Decyl-POSS, Decenyl-POSS)를 사용한 실리콘 젤의 경우 실록산 수지와의 혼화성이 낮아서, 가시광선 영역의 투과도가 낮았으며 경도값도 낮았다. 이에 비해 올리고실록산기를 가지로 가지는 POSS(Siloxy-POSS)를 적용하였을 경우에는 실록산 수지와 혼화성이 우수하여 높은 투명도를 보였으나, POSS의 첨가로 인한 경도 증가는 뚜렷하게 나타나지 않았다.

Swallow-Tail Terrylene Bisimide 적색 유기 형광체 제조 및 특성 연구 (Preparation and Characterization of Swallow-Tail Terrylene Bisimide as Organic Phosphor)

  • Perylene bisimide derivatives are developed for red organic phosphor because of their advantages, such as excellent luminous efficiency and high thermal stability. Despite these advantages, they have poor solubility characteristics in organic solvents and short emission wavelength as red organic phosphor for hybrid light-emitting diodes (LEDs). In this study, we prepared terrylene bisimide using a coupling reaction and swallow-tail imide group, which has excellent solubility. The structures and properties of swallow-tail terrylene bisimide (9C) were analyzed using 1H-nuclear magnetic resonance (1H-NMR), Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR), UV/Vis spectroscopy, and thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA). The maximum absorption wavelength of (9C) in the UV/Vis spectrum was 647 nm, and the maximum emission wavelength was 676 nm. In the TGA, (9C) demonstrated good thermal stability with less than 5 wt% weight loss up to 415℃. In the solubility test, (9C) has a good solubility of more than 5 wt% in chloroform and dichloromethane. When the compounds (9C) were mixed with PMMA (polymethly methacrylate), the films showed peaks at 680 nm in the PL spectra. The results verify the suitability of (9C) as a red organic phosphor for hybrid LEDs.

K대역 마이크로파 움직임 감지 센서를 이용한 에너지 절감형 LED 모듈 개발 (Development of a Energy-saving LED module Using K-band Microwave Motion Detecting Sensor)

  • 본 논문에서는 실외용 움직임 감지에 적합한 K대역 마이크로파 움직임 감지 센서를 활용한 에너지 절감형 LED 모듈을 제안하였다. 헤어핀 형태의 마이크로스트립 공진기를 이용한 발진기를 설계하여 안정성을 높이고 제작이 쉽도록 하였다. 신호의 방사를 위해 송수신 2채널 패치 배열 안테나를 개발하여 적용하였다. 수신된 신호로부터 도플러 천이 값을 획득하기 위해 윌킨슨 전력분배기 및 링 하이브리드 혼합기를 개발하여 적용하였다. 신호의 안정성 및 원치 않는 외부잡음으로부터 보호하기 위해 쉴드 캔을 제작하여 장착하였다. 제안된 움직임 감지 센서를 실증용 LED 모듈에 장착하여 에너지 절감 성능을 모의실험을 통하여 검증하였다.

UHD 방송용 LED 조명의 조도제어 방법 (A Dimming Method for the UHD Broadcast LED Lighting)

  • This paper proposes a dimming method and a hybrid LED driving circuit suitable for the ultra high definition (UHD) broadcasting. There are major two problems during the dimming control for traditional LED broadcast lightings; one is a flicker that occurred when camera filming to these lightings, and the other is that linear control is impossible for LED luminous intensity under 10% due to LED electrical characteristics. The proposed dimming method and the driving circuit are designed to solve two problems simultaneously. For high level dimming control region from 10 to 100%, the analog control method was applied to the switching regulator constructed by MOSFET operated in the saturation region. For low level dimming control region under 10%, the fast PWM control method with the linear regulator constructed by MOSFET in the ohmic region was used. We verified experimentally that the dimming method is able to control the luminous intensity linearly from 1 to 100% and the flicker disappears on images taken by the charge coupled device (CCD) and the complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) cameras. Therefore, the proposed method is suitable for the UHD broadcasting.

식물재배를 위한 최적LED 배열조합설계 (LED array design for optimal combination of plant grown)

  • This paper is suitable for household plant factory by design and using both energy-saving LED and solar technology. Conventional household plant factory only depending on natural sunlight is sensitive for the change of external environment. Another a big problem of conventional common household plant factory is large power consumption. Recently interest in wellbeing food such as chemical-free is increased abruptly. To solve these two problems, this paper describes hybrid type of household plant. In particular, reducing the power photosynthesis photon flux density (PPFD) is kept uniform to enhance the growth of the plant. Ambient light sensor is adopted for the control of proper combination of sunlight and LED to keep PPFD constant.

  • LED는 우수한 특성으로 인하여 차세대 조명으로 각광받고 있지만, 높은 비용에 따른 시장 활성화가 더딘 상태로서 저가격화 노력이 꾸준히 이루어지고 있다. 현재는 LED조명을 구동하기 위한 정전류 Driver, AC-DC컨버터를 배제시킬 수 있도록 AC 입력으로 LED를 구동하는 기술이 선보이고 있지만, AC성분 특성상 낮은 효율과 역률, 높은 THD의 문제점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 직렬 콘덴서를 통해 AC 입력전압으로 LED를 구동하는 방식에서 입출력변동에 따른 정전류 제어와 높은 THD를 개선하기 위한 스위칭 기법을 제안하였고, 이러한 회로의 용량성 역률을 보상하기 위하여 유도성 부하인 방전램프(고압나트륨램프)와 결합을 통한 역률을 보상하는 하이브리드 조명회로를 제안하였다.

3D적층/절삭 하이브리드가공기의 구조최적화에 관한 연구 (Structural Optimization of Additive/Subtractive Hybrid Machines)

  • In the recent fourth industrial revolution, the demand for additive processes has emerged rapidly in many mechanical industries, including the aircraft and automobile industries. Additive processes, in contrast to subtractive processes, can be used to produce complex-shaped products, such as three-dimensional cooling systems and aircraft parts that are difficult to produce using conventional production technologies. However, the limitations of additive processes include nonuniform surface quality, which necessitates the use of post-processing techniques such as subtractive methods and grinding. This has led to the need for hybrid machines that combine additive and subtractive processes. A hybrid machine uses additional additive and subtractive modules, so product deformation, for instance, deflection, is likely to occur. Therefore, structural analysis and design optimization of hybrid machines are essential because these defects cause multiple problems, such as reduced workpiece precision during processing. In this study, structural analysis was conducted before the development of an additive/subtractive hybrid processing machine. In addition, structural optimization was performed to improve the stability of the hybrid machine.
