A New Non-isolated Boost Converter with Two-Inductor and One-Transformer for Hybrid Electric Vehicle and Electric Vehicle (하이브리드 차량 및 전기 차량용 두 개의 인덕터와 하나의 변압기를 갖는 새로운 비절연형 부스트 컨버터)

  • 하이브리드 차량 및 전기차량 구동 모터의 권선저항에 의한 손실 및 모터의 크기를 줄이기 위해 고효율, 고승압형 DC-DC 컨버터 사용이 요구된다. 기존의 부스트 컨버터는 기생저항 성분에 의해 고승압이 불가능하여 변압기를 사용하여 승압비를 향상시킨 current-fed push-pull, current-fed full bridge, dual inductor-fed 부스트 컨버터 등으로 변형되어 사용되어 왔다. dual inductor-fed 부스트 컨버터의 경우 동일조건하에서 앞서 기술된 2가지 컨버터보다 2배의 승압비를 얻을 수 있으며 1차측 전류 스트레스가 낮은 장점을 가지고 있어 대전력, 고승압 응용에 적합하다. 하지만 변압기의 누설인덕턴스에 의한 써지성 전류/전압을 제한하기 위한 부가적인 snubber회로의 사용으로 효율을 떨어뜨리게 되는 단점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 단점을 보완할 수 있는 새로운 2개의 인덕터와 1개의 변압기를 갖는 DC-DC 컨버터를 제안한다. 제안된 컨버터의 동작원리와 모드해석을 실시하고 최종적으로 400W, 42Vdc (Battery)/400Vdc (Electric Motor) 실험결과를 통해 이를 검증한다.

  • An electric water pump for engine cooling system has an advantage which particularly in the cold start, the use of the electric water pump saves fuel and leads to a corresponding reduction in emissions. The canned type electric water pump without mechanical sealing elements was selected to meet the requirements for operational reliability and life. However, the electric water pump for internal combustion engine generates much more heat loss than for hybrid electric vehicle since it is operated by the electric power of high current and low voltage. In this study, the fluid flow and thermal characteristics of the canned type electric water pump as an inverter integrated water pump has been investigated under the effects of heat generation. The analysis conditions such as outdoor air temperature of $125^{\circ}C$, water pump speed of 6000 rpm, coolant temperature of $106^{\circ}C$ and coolant flow rate of 120 L/min was used as a standard condition. Therefore, flow fields and temperature distribution inside the water pump were obtained. Also, we checked the feasibility of the canned type for the electric water pump in comparison with the mechanical seal type.

  • Recently, the market has been released a lot of excellent NVH performance cars such as hybrid, electric and luxury cars. Therefore, the consumer is a tendency of many sensitive of the noise inside the vehicle than in the past. In order to match the propensity of such consumers, the automotive industry defines the standard of product related to noise generation of a single product. However, it is difficult to reduce the noise of the product to automobile part suppliers to follow these standards. In this paper, we propose a method for evaluating several necessary in order to find a way to reduce the noise.

  • This paper dealt with the insulation evaluation by a measurement of partial discharge(PD) on traction motors used in a hybrid vehicle. The PD method has been accepted as an effective and a non-destructive. technique to evaluate insulation performance of low-voltage electric and electronic devices. In this paper, the PD measurement system which was manufactured with a coupling network, a low noise amplifier, and an associated electronics is described. The PD measurement system has the frequency bandwidth of $1[MHz]{\sim}30[MHz]$ at -3 [dB] and the stable sensitivity of 19 [mV/pC] for the traction motor. From the experimental results, discharge inception voltage (DIV) and apparent charge (q) were $1,100[V_{rms}]$ and 105 [pC] for the used motor, and $1,400[V_{rms}]$ and 84 [pC] for the new one. By comparing the DIV and q, we could evaluate the insulation condition for the traction motors.

  • 본 논문은 전기자동차 (Electric Vehicles, EVs) 및 플러그인 하이브리드 자동차 (Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles, PHEVs)용 리튬 이온 (Li-Ion) 배터리 충전을 위한 3.3 kW급 차량 탑재형 (On-Board) 충전기 하드웨어의 설계 및 제작에 대하여 기술한다. 차량 실장 특성을 고려하여 부하직렬공진형 dc-dc 컨버터를 적용하고, 80-130kHz의 고주파 스위칭 및 ZVS (Sero-Voltage Switching) 기법을 통해 수동소자의 크기를 최적화하여 5.84L, 5.8kg의 저부피, 경량을 달성한다. 전자부하를 대상으로 정전류 (Continuous Current, CC) 및 정전압 (Continuous Voltage, CV) 제어를 수행하여 93%의 고효율 획득 및 성능을 검증한다.

  • Most studies on hybrid buses are on large-sized buses and not mid-sized low-floor buses. This study uses MATLAB simulation to evaluate the fuel efficiency of such buses powered by diesel. Based on the results, a hybrid electric vehicle system is recommended for the best combination of power and gear ratio. A parallel hybrid system was selected for the hybridization, which transmits front and rear wheel power independently. The necessary power to satisfy the target performance was calculated, and the applicable capacity area was designed. Dynamic programing was used to create and optimize a component sizing algorithm, which was used to scale the capacity of each component of the power source to satisfy the design criteria. The fuel efficiency rate, optimum power source capacity, and gear ratio can be improved by converting a conventional bus into a parallel hybrid bus.

  • Motor & generator operation at widely variable speeds is needed in various applications but hybrid and electric vehicle (HEV) stand out today, as quite a few companies are launching this year their mass production of HEVs. The quest for better starter-generators is far from ended, though. The present review paper unfolds a comparative critical evaluation of various starter-generators and their control for HEV. Induction, interior PM synchronous, transverse-flux PM synchronous, switched reluctance, together with claw-pole and biaxial excitation PM synchronous (BEGA) configurations with their control are all considered in system evaluations.

  • 본 논문에서는 EV 또는 PHEV용 탑재형 배터리 충전기에 대하여 기술한다. 역률개선을 위한 PFC는 전류연속모드의 부스트 컨버터를 적용 하였으며, 스위칭 손실의 저감을 위해 영전압 스위칭이 가능한 위상천이 풀-브리지 DC-DC 컨버터를 사용하여 전기적인 절연 및 소자의 스위칭 스트레스를 줄이고 효율 또한 향상 시키고자 하였다. PSIM을 사용하여 시뮬레이션 하였으며 실험세트를 구성하고 결과를 분석하여 시스템의 효용성을 검증하였다.

  • 하이브리드 자동차용 견인모터의 정출력 영역에서 토크 제어시 회생제동은 엔진에 부하로 작용하여 매우 위험하다. 본 논문에서는 HEV용 IPMSM의 정출력 영역에서 안정된 토크 제어를 수행하기 위한 전류 지령 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법은 시뮬레이션을 통하여 확인하였다.

  • In this paper various drive characteristics of a AC Servo Motor for EV(electric vehicle) and hybrid system proposed a countermeasure against air polution are presented. Since the transfer function of the plant is nonlinear and very complicated, there are difficultly in driving the system with real time. The performance of these experiments is confirmed by computer simulation results. The high performance and high accuracy of the driving system, Field oriented vector control system is proposed.
