Ru(EtCp)2 전구체를 이용한 PEALD Ru 공정 최적화에 관한 연구 (Optimization of PEALD-Ru Process using Ru(EtCp)2)

  • Ru films were successfully prepared by plasma-enhanced atomic layer deposition (PEALD) using $Ru(EtCp)_2$ and $NH_3$ plasma. To optimize Ru PEALD process, the effect of growth temperature, $NH_3$ plasma power and $NH_3$ plasma time on the growth rate and preferred orientation of the deposited film was systemically investigated. At a growth temperature of $270^{\circ}C$ and $NH_3$ plasma power of 100W, the saturated growth rate of 0.038 nm/cycle was obtained on the flat $SiO_2$/Si substrate when the $Ru(EtCp)_2$ and $NH_3$ plasma time was 7 and 10 sec, respectively. When the growth temperature was decreased, however, an increased $NH_3$ plasma time was required to obtain a saturated growth rate of 0.038 nm/cycle. Also, $NH_3$ plasma power higher than 40 W was required to obtain a saturated growth rate of 0.038 nm/cycle even at a growth temperature of $270^{\circ}C$. However, (002) preferred orientation of Ru film was only observed at higher plasma power than 100W. Moreover, the saturation condition obtained on the flat $SiO_2$/Si substrate resulted in poor step coverage of Ru on the trench pattern with an aspect ratio of 8:1, and longer $NH_3$ plasma time improved the step coverage.

Optimization of Bidirectional DC/DC Converter for Electric Vehicles Based On Driving Cycle

  • As a key component of high-voltage power conversion system for electric vehicles (EVs), bidirectional DC/DC (Bi-DC/DC) is required to have high efficiency and light weight. Conventional design methods optimize the Bi-DC/DC at the maximum power dissipation point (MPDP). For EVs application, the work condition of the Bi-DC/DC is not strict as the MPDP, where the design method using MPDP may not be optimal during travel of EVs. This paper optimizes the Bi-DC/DC converter targeting efficiency and weight based on the driving cycle. By analyzing the two-phase interleaved Bi-DC/DC for hybrid energy storage systems (HESS) of EVs, its power dissipation is calculated, and an efficiency model is derived. On this basis, weight models of capacitor, inductor and heat sink are built, as well as a dynamic temperature model of heat sink. Based on these models, a method using New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) for optimal design of Bi-DC/DC which simultaneously considered efficiency and weight is proposed. The simulation result shows that compare with conventional optimization methods revealed that the optimization approach based on driving cycle allowed significant weight reduction while meeting the efficiency requirements.

Cycle Slip Detection and Ambiguity Resolution for High Accuracy of an Intergrated GPS/Pseudolite/INS System

  • This paper addresses solutions th the challenges of carrier phase integer ambiguity resolution and cycle slip detection/identification, for maintaining high accuracy of an integrated GPS/Pseudolite/INS system. Such a hybrid positioning and navigation system is an augmentation of standard GPS/INS systems in localized areas. To achieve the goal of high accuracy, the carrier phase measurements with correctly estimated integer ambiguities must be utilized to update the system integration filter's states. The contribution presents an effective approach to increase the reliability and speed of integer ambiguity resolution through using pseudolite and INS measurements, with special emphasis on reducing the ambiguity search space. In addition, an algorithm which can effectively detect and correct the cycle slips is described as well. The algorithm utilizes additional position information provided by the INS, and applies a statistical technique known as th cumulative-sun (CUSUM) test that is very sensitive to abrupt changes of mean values. Results of simulation studies and field tests indicate that the algorithms are performed pretty well, so that the accuracy and performance of the integrated system can be maintained, even if cycle slips exist in the raw GPS measurements.

Design and Implementation of Modified Current Source Based Hybrid DC - DC Converters for Electric Vehicle Applications

  • In this study, we present the modern hybrid system based power generation for electric vehicle applications. We describe the hybrid structure of modified current source based DC - DC converters used to extract the maximum power from Photovoltaic (PV) and Fuel Cell system. Due to reduced dc-link capacitor requirement and higher reliability, the current source inverters (CSI) better compared to the voltage source based inverter. The novel control strategy includes Distributed Maximum Power Point Tracking (DMPPT) for photovoltaic (PV) and fuel cell power generation system. The proposed DC - DC converters have been analyzed in both buck and boost mode of operation under duty cycle 0.5>d, 0.5<d<1 and 0.5<d for capable electric vehicle applications. The proposed topology benefits include one common DC-AC inverter that interposes the generated power to supply the charge for the sharing of load in a system of hybrid supply with photovoltaic panels and fuel cell PEM. An improved control of Direct Torque and Flux Control (DTFC) based induction motor fed by current source converters for electric vehicle.In order to achieve better performance in terms of speed, power and miles per gallon for the expert, to accepting high regenerative braking current as well as persistent high dynamics driving performance is required. A simulation model for the hybrid power generation system based electric vehicle has been developed by using MATLAB/Simulink. The Direct Torque and Flux Control (DTFC) is planned using Xilinx ISE software tool in addition to a Modelsim 6.3 software tool that is used for simulation purposes. The FPGA based pulse generation is used to control the induction motor for electric vehicle applications. FPGA has been implemented, in order to verify the minimal error between the simulation results of MATLAB/Simulink and experimental results.

Hybrid S-ALOHA/TDMA Protocol for LTE/LTE-A Networks with Coexistence of H2H and M2M Traffic

  • The machine-to-machine (M2M) communication is featured by tremendous number of devices, small data transmission, and large uplink to downlink traffic ratio. The massive access requests generated by M2M devices would result in the current medium access control (MAC) protocol in LTE/LTE-A networks suffering from physical random access channel (PRACH) overload, high signaling overhead, and resource underutilization. As such, fairness should be carefully considered when M2M traffic coexists with human-to-human (H2H) traffic. To tackle these problems, we propose an adaptive Slotted ALOHA (S-ALOHA) and time division multiple access (TDMA) hybrid protocol. In particular, the proposed hybrid protocol divides the reserved uplink resource blocks (RBs) in a transmission cycle into the S-ALOHA part for M2M traffic with small-size packets and the TDMA part for H2H traffic with large-size packets. Adaptive resource allocation and access class barring (ACB) are exploited and optimized to maximize the channel utility with fairness constraint. Moreover, an upper performance bound for the proposed hybrid protocol is provided by performing the system equilibrium analysis. Simulation results demonstrate that, compared with pure S-ALOHA and pure TDMA protocol under a target fairness constraint of 0.9, our proposed hybrid protocol can improve the capacity by at least 9.44% when ${\lambda}_1:{\lambda}_2=1:1$and by at least 20.53% when ${\lambda}_1:{\lambda}_2=10:1$, where ${\lambda}_1,{\lambda}_2$ are traffic arrival rates of M2M and H2H traffic, respectively.

  • 인터넷을 비롯한 초고속 통신망의 발전 및 그에 기반한 다양한 매체의 등장과, 현대인들의 바쁜 생활 패턴으로 인해 예전과 같이 TV 프로그램의 본방송을 시청하는 경우는 점점 줄어들고 있다. 그 대신, 보고 싶은 TV 프로그램을 다운로드하여 TV를 통해 원하는 시간에 보고자 하는 시청자들의 요구가 증가하고 있다. 이러한 요구에 부응하기 위해, 지상파 방송 사업자들은 TV와 인터넷을 결합하여 유료방송에 가입하지 않더라도 TV 수신기를 통해 프로그램 시청 중에 원하는 온디맨드 콘텐츠 관련 서비스를 제공받을 수 있는 TV-인터넷 하이브리드 서비스를 개발하였고 이를 OHTV(Open Hybrid TV)리는 명칭으로 표준화하였다. 본 논문에서는 OHTV의 표준화 현황과 해외의 하이브리드 TV 서비스 및 기술 표준에 대해 설명하고 OHTV 표준이 진정한 의미의 개방형 하이브리드 TV 서비스 표준으로 거듭나는데 필요한 기술적 요소들과 추가 표준 항목들에 대해 나열하여 표준 확장의 방향을 제시한다.

천연혼합냉매를 이용한 압축/흡수식 고온히트펌프의 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on Compression/Absorption High-Temperature Hybrid Heat Pump with Natural Refrigerant Mixture)

  • 본 연구에서는 천연냉매를 적용한 압축/흡수식 하이브리드 고온제조 히트펌프를 실험적으로 연구한 결과를 제시하였다. 압축/흡수식 히트펌프는 기존의 증기압축 히트펌프에 비해 고온영역을 포함한 넓은 생산온도범위, 높은 승온기능, 다양한 용량 제어방법 등 여러가지 장점을 가지고 있다. 제작된 하이브리드 히트펌프는 현재 실제 산업현장에 적용하기 이전의 초기 시제품 단계로 실험실에 설치하여 운전하였으며, 주요 구성부품으로는 이단압축기, 흡수기, 재생기, 과열냉각기, 용액 열교환기, 용액펌프, 기액분리기/정류기 등이다. 성능실험에서 $50^{\circ}C$의 열원을 고온 및 저온열원으로 사용한 결과 $90^{\circ}C$ 이상의 고온수 토출과 10 kW급의 난방 용량을 얻을 수 있었다. 혼합냉매의 성분비 변화에 따른 압축기/펌프 유량의 순환비 변화 및 다양한 성능변화를 실험적으로 관찰하였으며, 시스템의 효율과 용량에 있어 최적 성분비가 존재함을 확인하였다.

환원제염조건에서 가압경수로 구조재료의 틈부식 특성 (Crevice Corrosion Properties of PWR Structure Materials Under Reductive Decontamination Conditions)

  • 가압경수로의 일차계통 제염을 위해 개발된 HYBRID 제염제의 재료부식 특성을 틈부식 시험방법을 사용하여 수행하였다. 기존 제염제의 부식특성과 비교하기 위하여 상용 제염제인 OA, CITROX 제염제의 부식특성도 함께 평가하였다. 시험재료는 가압경수로의 일차계통의 주 재료인 Alloy 600과 304 SS을 대상으로 시험하였다. 틈부식 시험은 가혹조건의 부식시험으로써 내식성이 강한 원전 구조재료의 건전성을 짧은 시간에 잘 확인할 수 있었다. 시험결과 OA와 CITROX 제염제에서는 crevice 시편 표면에 pitting과 IGA가 나타났으나 HYBRID 제염제에서는 국부부식이 전혀 발생되지 않았다. 무게감소 측정결과 HYBRID 제염조건에서는 $1.3{\times}10^{-3}{\mu}m/h$ 이하의 매우 낮은 부식속도를 나타내었다. 반면에, OA 제염제의 경우 Alloy 600은 $4.0{\times}10^{-2}{\mu}m/h$ 로 비교적 균일한 부식율을 나타내었으나, 304 SS의 경우 pH = 2.0 이하에서 급격한 가속부식을 나타내었다. HYBRID 제염제의 경우 일반부식에서뿐만 아니라 crevice 부식조건에서도 거의 부식이 일어나지 않아 PWR 계통제염 시 산화막 용해 후 제염제가 계통재료에 노출되어도 재료의 건전성이 입증되었다.

초등학교 건축물의 생애주기 에너지사용량 및 이산화탄소 배출량 평가 (Evaluation of Life Cycle Energy Consumption and CO2 Emission of Elementary School of Buildings)

  • 본 연구에서는 LCA 모델을 이용하여 8개 초등학교 건축물의 생애주기 에너지사용량 및 이산화탄소 배출량을 평가 분석하였다. 이를 위하여, 자재생산, 자재운송, 시공, 운영, 해체 폐기단계를 포함하는 건축물 생애주기에서의 에너지사용량 및 이산화탄소 배출량을 평가할 수 있는 LCA 기반의 평가모델을 정의하고, 모델을 이용하여 사례 건축물을 평가하였다. 40년의 운영기간을 가정하여 평가한 결과, 내재에너지(즉, 자재생산, 자재운송, 시공단계 에너지사용량의 합), 운영에너지, 해체 폐기에너지는 평균적으로 2,279, 11,182, 228 Mcal/m2로 산출되었다. 각 단계별 평균 이산화탄소 배출량은 604, 2,708, 60 kg-CO2/m2로 산출되었다. 평가결과는 생애주기 에너지사용량 및 이산화탄소 배출량의 약 17%가 자재생산, 자재운송, 시공단계에서 발생한다는 사실을 보여준다. 따라서 건축물의 에너지사용량 및 이산화탄소 배출량 감축 목표를 달성하기 위해서는 내재에너지 및 이산화탄소 배출량이 반드시 고려되어야 할 것이다. 게다가, 운영에너지는 지역에 따라 확연하게 구분되는 반면, 내재에너지는 지역에 따른 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 운영단계의 에너지 사용량 편차를 줄이기 위해서는 지역에 따라 보다 상세하게 구분된 단열 기준이 제시되어야 할 것이다.

LNG FPSO Topside의 액화 공정에 대한 이중 혼합 냉매 사이클의 최적 운전 조건 결정 (Determination of the Optimal Operating Condition of Dual Mixed Refrigerant Cycle of LNG FPSO Topside Liquefaction Process)

  • In this study, the optimal operating conditions for the dual mixed refrigerant(DMR) cycle were determined by considering the power efficiency. The DMR cycle consists of compressors, heat exchangers, seawater coolers, valves, phase separators, tees, and common headers, and the operating conditions include the equipment's flow rate, pressure, temperature, and refrigerant composition per flow. First, a mathematical model of the DMR cycle was formulated in this study by referring to the results of a past study that formulated a mathematical model of the single mixed refrigerant(SMR) cycle, which consists of compressors, heat exchangers, seawater coolers, and valves, and by considering as well the tees, phase separators, and common headers. Finally, in this study, the optimal operating conditions from the formulated mathematical model was obtained using a hybrid optimization method that consists of the genetic algorithm(GA) and sequential quadratic programming(SQP). Moreover, the required power at the obtained conditions was decreased by 1.4% compared with the corresponding value from the past relevant study of Venkatarathnam.
