Management of the Structure Information of HyTime Documents using Object-Oriented Database (객체 지향 데이타베이스를 이용한 HyTime 문서의 구조 정보 관리)

  • HyTime(Hypermedia/Time-based Structuring Language), an international standard language to describe hypermedia electronic documents, is used to support the synchronization between various multimedia data for hypermedia applications. To manage the HyTime documents efficiently for shared environment, the logical structure information of them should be managed by database in a systematic way. In this Paper, we design a meta-database schema of HyTime DTDs(Document Type Definition) which define the logical structure of hypermedia documents and show how to manage the meta-database schema for storing the HyTime DTDs in the object-oriented database.

  • HyTime(Hypermedia/Time-Based Structuring Language)는 SGML 문서에 하이퍼미디어를 포함하는 기능으로 확장하고, 하이퍼미디어의 논리 구조를 기술하기 위한 언어로 1992년 4월에 국제표준으로 채택되었다. 기존의 문서들은 각기 다른 플렛폼마다 그들만의 문서포맷이 정해져 있는 이유로 상이한 플랫폼에서도 문서를 서로 교환할 수 있도록 하기 위한 SGML 표준을 채택하게 되었다. SGML 환경하에서 많은 문서들은 하이퍼링크와 멀티미디어 정보를 포함하는 문서로 발전하게 된다. 하이퍼미디어문서의 처리를 위한 표준으로 HyTime이 정의되고 많은 어플리케이션들이 이를 적용하고 있으며 하이퍼문서로의 확장을 위한 HyTime 엔진이 요구된다. 이에 본 논문에서는 하이퍼미디어 문서 시스템을 구현하기 위한 필수 요소인 HyTime 엔진의 설계와 HyTime 엔진의 처리 절차에 관해 연구하였다.

  • 하이퍼미디어 응용들은 다양한 미디어들을 동적이고 비 순차적으로 연결하고 동기화 등의 시간성을 지원해야 한다. 최근 이러한 하이퍼미디어 문서를 표현하는 메타 언어로 HyTime(Hypermedia/Time based Structuring language)이 사용되고 있다. 그런데 HyTime을 이용하여 하이퍼미디어 문서를 기술하고 관리하는 일은 비전문가들에게 상당히 어렵다. 본 논문은 하이퍼미디어 문서의 구조를 기술하는 HyTime DTD를 쉽게 설계할 수 있게 하는 다이아그래밍 기법인 HOMT(HyTime support XOMT)를 제안한다. HOMT는 SGML DTD를 설계하기 위해 제안된 XOMT(eXtended OMT)를 확장하는 방법으로 고안되었다.

  • SWAT includes a lot of parameters related with geography, hydrological time series, land management and water pollution, etc. So, it needs many spatial, non-spatial and time series data to run SWAT. If SWAT is operated in conjunction with GIS, we can use database which includes model input data and do all the processes which covers data creation, model input and analysis of simulation results in a system. The objective of this study is to develop HyGIS-SWAT which is the interface system to couple the SWAT model and HyGIS. To achieve this object, system operation process based on HyGIS-SWAT data model is evaluated and databases are designed and established. As a result, HyGIS-SWAT prototype system is developed. HyGIS data model and HyGIS-Model operation process can be applied effectively to the development of HyGIS-SWAT. The technologies from this study can be used as base technology to develop another HyGIS application which connect HyGIS with models.

  • Hypermedia documents include structural information for their documents There have been researches on storing and searching hypermedia documents using the structural information of the documents. For the purpose of presenting hypermedia documents, however, only a few models have been proposed. In this paper, we propose a new object-oriented model based on the structural information of HyTime documents for storing and also presenting efficiently the documents. For this modeling, we consider an application of HyTime, a system for a news-on-demand service that provides news customized by user requests. Our modeling can be applied to several Hypermedia application areas, like as customized web-based instructions and digital libraries as well as news-on-demand services.

A Study on the Stress Relief Cracking of HSLA-100 and HY-100 steels (HSLA-100강 및 HY-100강의 응력제거처리 균열에 관한 연구)

  • A study was made to examine the characteristics of base metal and stress relief cracking(SRC) of heat affected zone(HAZ) for HY-100 and Cu-bearing HSLA-100 steels. The Gleeble thermal/mechanical simulator was used to simulate the SRC/HAZ. The details of mechanical properties of base plate and SRC tested specimens were studied by impact test, optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. The specimens were aged at $650^{\circ}C$ for HSLA-100 steel and at $660^{\circ}C$ for HY-100 steel and thermal cycled from $1350^{\circ}C$ to $25^{\circ}C$ with a cooling time of $\Delta$t_${800^{circ}C/500^{circ}C}$=21sec. corresponds to the heat input of 30kJ/cm. The thermal cycled specimens were stressed to a predetermined level of 248~600MPa and then reheated to the stress relief temperatures of $570~620^{\circ}C$. The time to failure$(t_f)$ at a given stress level was used as a measure of SRC susceptibility. The strength, elongation and impact toughness of base plate were greater in HSLA-100 steel than in HY-100 steel. The time to failure was decreased with increasing temperature and/or stress. HSLA-100 steel was more susceptible to stress relief cracking than HY-100 steel under same conditions. It is thought to be resulted from the precipitation of $\varepsilon$-Cu phase by dynamic self diffusion of solute atoms. By the precipitation of $\varepsilon$-Cu phase, the differential strengthening of grain interior relative to grain boundary may be greater in the Cu-bearing HSLA-100 steel than in HY-100 steel. Therefore, greater strain concentration at grain boundary of HSLA-100 steel results in the increased SRC susceptibility. The activation energies for SRC of HSLA-100 steel are 103.9kcal/mal for 387MPa and 87.6kcal/mol for 437MPa and that of HY-100 steel is 129.2kcal/mol for 437MPa.

  • Objective: To evaluate the effect of hysterosalpingo-contrast sonography (HyCoSy) on natural conception in the infertile patient. Methods: We conducted a prospective observational study recruiting 180 patients admitted to Infertility Center of Ferrara University from January 2010 to February 2012. The essential inclusion criteria was the couple's desire to perform only diagnostic evaluation on infertility causes and to wait for natural conception before proceeding with further management. Couples were investigated with hormonal profile, semen analysis and HyCoSy. Expected time for spontaneous pregnancy was 180 days from HyCoSy. First datation sonography of pregnancy was used calculating time elapsed from HyCoSy at conception. Results: Forty patients (22.2%) obtained spontaneous pregnancy within 6 months after HyCoSy. The mean of "conception time" was 75 days. The pregnancy rate was significantly higher in the first 30 days (45%) compared to other the months of observation (p<0.0005). Multiple linear regression analysis showed that maternal age and sterility duration proved independent variables in detecting the "conception time" after HyCoSy (t=3.742, p=0.001, t=2.371, p=0.02, respectively). Conclusion: A possible beneficial effect of HyCoSy is feasible especially in the days following its execution. This temporal correlation supports its therapeutic use.

Immune Tolerance in Murine Islet Transplantation Across HY Disparity (HY 항원 불일치 췌도 이식에 의한 면역 관용의 유도)

  • Background: Minor histocompatibility HY antigen, as a transplantation antigen, has been known to cause graft rejection in MHC (major histocompatibility complex) matched donor-recipient. The aim of our study is to investigate the role of male antigen (HY) disparity on MHC matched pancreatic islet transplantation and to examine the mechanism of the immune reaction. Methods: Pancreatic islets were isolated and purified by collagen digestion followed by Ficoll gradient. The isolated islets of male C57BL6/J were transplanted underneath the kidney capsule of syngeneic female mice rendered diabetic with streptozotocine. Blood glucose was monitored for the rejection of engrafted islets. After certain period of time, tail to flank skin transplantation was performed either on mouse transplanted with HY mismatched islets or on sham treated mouse. The rejection was monitored by scoring gross pathology of the engrafted skin. Results: HY mismatched islets survived more than 300 days in 14 out of 15 mice. The acceptance of second party graft (male B6 islets) and the rejection of third party graft (male BALB/c islets) in these mice suggested the tolerance to islets with HY disparity. B6 Skin with HY disparity was rejected on day $25{\pm}7$. However, HY mismatched skin transplanted on the mice tolerated to HY mismatched islets survived more than 240 days. Tetramer staining in these mice indicated the CTL recognizing MHC Db/Uty was not deleted or anergized. Conclusion: The islet transplantation across HY disparity induced tolerance to HY antigen in C57BL6 mouse, which in turn induced tolerance to HY mismatched skin, which otherwise would be rejected within 25 days. The MHC tetramer staining suggested the underlying mechanisms would not be clonal deletion or anergy.
