  • The application of human-factor concept in developing a complex weapon system is important for system engineer to determine the system performance and reliability. This paper describes the evaluation procedure of human factors in the X-system wherein the evaluation result provides a better performance than the previous model in operatability and maintainability. The criteria used for the evaluation of a design adequacy of the X-system are based on the military human-factor standards.

  • The human resources play an important role in a hotel cooking department. The object of this study is to gain basic data for searching an effective human resources management method of cooking department in the hotel. To achieve this object, I proceeded like this. In the second chapter, I exerted myself to arrange the theoretical system on the content of the human resources management through an internal and external philological research. In the third chapter, I established conceptional research model to study factual research and three hypotheses. And I made all high-grade hotel cooking employee in Taegu and Kyung-Buk answer an questionnaire, so practiced interrelation analysis and dispersion analysis according to research hypothesis. The results are as follows. First, the result of hypothesis 1 was that three was rather a high interrelation between the human resources management factor of cooking department and its overall evaluation. Second, the result of hypothesis 2 was that three was a significant difference about the overall evaluation of cooking business management according to the position demographically. Third, the result of hypothesis 3 was that there was a significant difference according to the scholastic ability, position and the district of hotel in the demographical evaluation of human resources management factor. The limits of this study were that first, I defined the subject as the cook employee of high-grade hotel in Taegu and Kyung-Buk, second, I utilized partial variance among many variances affecting human resources management. Therefore after this study, these limits much be overcomed and multiple and scientific study must be accomplish. So human resources of cooking department in the hotel must improve more.

  • This study was conducted to assess the effect of heptapeptide, composed of seven amino acids, on the activation of human hair cells isolated from human hair follicles. We have confirmed that the heptapeptide could bind to Lgr5 from the results of surface plasmon resonance (SPR) analysis. Heptapeptide enhanced the proliferation of human hair follicle dermal papilla cells (HHFDPCs) in a dose dependent manner. It induced the protein level of nuclear β-catenin, and the expressions of β-catenin downstream target genes, including LEF1, Cyc-D1 and c-Myc, in HHFDPCs. Heptapeptide significantly induced the phosphorylation of Akt and ERK, and the mRNA expressions of growth factors, including hepatocyte growth factor (HGF), keratinocyte growth factor (KGF) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), in HHFDPCs. In addition, heptapeptide significantly increased mRNA expression levels of differentiation-related transcription factors of human hair germinal matrix cells (HHGMCs) and differentiation markers of human hair outer root sheath cells (HHORSCs). Additionally, we investigated the effect of heptapeptide on human hair follicle stem cells (HHFSCs) differentiation and found that the heptapeptide reduced the mRNA and protein levels of stem cell markers, while it increased those levels of differentiation markers. These results have indicated that the heptapeptide promotes proliferation or differentiation of various types of hair follicle constituent cells through the induction of Wnt/β-catenin signaling. From the results, we have suggested that the heptapeptide in this study could be applied as a new functional material for the improvement of hair growth and alopecia.

  • Driving simulators are used effectively for human factor study, vehicle system development and other purposes by enabling to reproduce actural driving conditions in a safe and tightly controlled enviornment. Interactive simulation requries appropriate sensory and stimulus cuing to the driver . Sensory and stimulus feedback can include visual , auditory, motion, and proprioceptive cues. A fixed-base driving simulator has been developed in this study for vehicle system developmnet and human factor study . The simulator consists of improved and synergistic subsystems (a real-time vehicle simulation system, a visual/audio system and a control force loading system) based on the motion -base simulator, KMU DS-Ⅰ developed for design and evaluation of a full-scale driving simulator and for driver-vehicle interaction.

  • This study was measured experimentally the Configuration factor of the adult female with the purpose of explaning quantitatively the human body's radiant heat exchange in a small scale of a house. And it is a investigatio about human clothed body's heat resistance which have great influence on radiant heat exchange. The result of this study was diagrammatized the [Shape×Area Factor] for the sake of making it easy to calculate the quantity of the actual human body's radiant heat exchange, and designed a diagram to make it easy to find the value of the human clothed body's heat resistance and clothing surface temperature. Thus, this research can be used as a basic resource for not only calculating wuantitatively radiant heat exchange of human clothed body and unclothed body in the radiant heating system of low temperature but also designing the thermal environment in a room.

  • Car crashes are the leading cause of death for persons of every age. Specially, human-related factor has been known to be the primary causal factor of such crashes than vehicle-and environmental-related factors. There are various studies to analyze driver's behavior and characteristics in driving for reducing the car crashes in many areas of car engineering, psychology, human factor, etc. However, there are almost no studies which analyze mainly the human errors in driving and estimate their probabilities in terms of human reliability analysis. This study estimates the probability of human error in driving, i.e. driver error probability. First, fifty driver errors are investigated through DBQ (Driver Behavior Questionnaire) revision and the error likelihoods in driving are collected which are judged by skillful drivers using revised DBQ. Next, these likelihoods are converted into driver error probabilities using the results that verbal probabilistic expressions are changed into quantitative probabilities. Using these probabilities we can improve the warning effects on drivers by indicating their driving error likelihoods quantitatively. We can also expect the reduction effects of car accident through controlling especially dangerous error groups which have higher probabilities. Like these, the results of this study can be used as the primary materials of safety education on drivers.

  • Background and purpose : We previously developed questionnaire of Guibi-tang symtom on the Delphi method through the pathogenesis analysis. But developed a questionnaire was not verified in the clinical. So, to ensure objectivity, quantification and validity, verification is needed for questionnaire items before applying a clinical. On this study, we looked at whether questionnaire items had been validity in the clinical. Methods : Participants of this study were outpatients in eleven clinics. The resources were collected from 200 patients. SPSS 15.0 for Windows was used for statistical analysis : reliability analysis, factor analysis were used to verify the results Results and Conclusions : 16 items were selected through reliability analysis perforfed on about 22 items. After factor analysis, we have four component. Veryfy research of the Guibi-tang Patternization Questionnaire is needed in the future. Also I think that research should proceed about a lot of people.

  • This study examined the practice of the impulsive purchase and the factors influencing it among college consumers. The data were collected from 481 college students in Busan and Gyeongnam areas through a self-administered questionnaire. Frequencies, Cronbach's alpha, factor analysis, Pearson's correlation analysis, and regression analysis were conducted by SPSS Windows. The results from this study were as follows: First, the level of the impulsive purchase of college consumers was not that high. Second, as a result of regression analysis for the group of the high level of impulsive purchase, the allowance amount, price-discount factor, credit card use, psychological factor, and attitudes towards money (ostentatious way, and symbol of success), affected the impulsive purchase. These results suggest that consumer education regarding values about money and strategies to resist impulsive purchase should be conducted at home and in school.
