The purpose of this study is to identify the usage of the quick response decision support system(QR DSS) and postponement manufacturing in the Korean apparel company. The researched company was the only one which used the QR DSS. The researchers carried out the depth interview with the QR decision makers of the company. This company had 14 brands, and had used the QR DSS since January, 2008. The results are as follows: The QR DSS was supportive computer software program, and it helped the staffs to make agile decision about QR repeat production of clothing. The QR DSS automatically calculated the related data, and suggested the expected sales volume and the proper supply amounts of the styles. There were four functions in QR DSS : 'QR Alert', 'Proper Supply Amount Simulation', 'Sensible QR', and 'Supply/Sales Simulation by Item'. The men's clothing brands effectively used 'Supply/Sales Simulation by Item' function. And the women's clothing brands effectively used 'QR Alert' function. This company also used the postponement production system for QR repeat production. The postponement production was conducted with four methods : the yarn stocking, the grey fabric stocking, the dyed fabric stocking, and the fabric sourcing. The men's clothing brands usually used of the yarn stocking methods and the dyed fabric stocking methods. The women's clothing brands usually used the grey fabric stocking methods. By using QR DSS and postponement production system the company was able to shorten the lead time for QR decision making.

  • Metaverse is a digitally generated world beyond the physical realm; many fashion brands are launching virtual stores in Metaverse. This study explores the cases of flagship stores of fashion brands in Metaverse to understand the peculiarity of Metaverse retailing. This study selected four flagship stores of fashion brands launched on ZEPETO, the largest Metaverse platform in Korea. The characteristics of Metaverse retailing used for case analysis were store (store credibility, servicescape, ease of use), product (content, demos, incentives), social factor (store personnel, store customers), and entertainment (events, games, free gifts). The results illustrate that a transaction system linked to reality could not be established due to technical limitations; it was difficult to obtain specific product information, such as the color, size, and fabric. However, all four fashion brands overwhelmed the traditional retail channels in terms of providing various spatial experiences by operating their virtual stores in global cities related to the heritage and identity of each brand. Furthermore, fashion brands can convey a sense of deviation and fantasy to consumers by delivering unique entertainment activities in Metaverse that they cannot easily provide in real life.

  • The Chinese cosmetics market is rapidly expanding, but various problems have also emerged, including exaggerated advertisement, lack of accurate information on product usage and the emergence of imitation products. For this reason, cosmetics companies have been making efforts to convince Chinese consumers of their brand authenticity and trust. In particular, Korean cosmetics firms have been using Hallyu stars who are largely popular among Chinese consumers as a means to raise their brand authenticity and trust. The aim of this study was to view Hallyu stars as human brands in the Chinese cosmetics market and verify whether the Chinese consumers' attachment toward Korean celebrities help the consumers perceive the authenticity of the brands advertised by the stars, and whether such brand authenticity affects the Chinese consumers' trust in Korean cosmetics brands. Furthermore, based on the fact that brand authenticity is defined and classified differently according to the type of product, this study observed the authenticity of Korean cosmetics brands from the aspect of product, employee and company based on previous research conducted on cosmetics brand authenticity. To this end, this study surveyed Chinese consumers for a month by using a representative survey website (http://www.sojump.com) that actively shares information related to cosmetics. A total of 394 surveys were used in the empirical analysis. The results of empirical analysis indicated that Chinese consumers' attachment toward Hallyu stars spreads to the Korean cosmetics brands advertised by the celebrities to have a positive effect on the brand authenticity perceived by Chinese consumers, including the authenticity of product, employee and company. Results also showed that the authenticity of Korean cosmetics brands, including product, employee and company, affected Chinese consumers' trust in the brands. The results of this study can provide implications regarding advertising or marketing strategies using Hallyu stars that can be utilized by Korean cosmetics companies to improve brand authenticity and reliability perceived by Chinese consumers in the Chinese cosmetics market, where brand authenticity and reliability are important.

The brands have high market share and brand recognition in each segmental market. The color samples were measured by spectrophotometer and analyzed by the Munsell's H V/C and CIE $L^*a^*b^*$ value. The representative colors of each market were selected concerning the tensity in CIE $L^*a^*b^*$ color space and the distance between the color samples. h4 a result, 2,213 representative colors were chosen. These color samples composed top and bottom color combination samples by the program 'Item Comparator' that calculated the color differences$({\Delta}E^*)$. Top includes the items such as blouse, shirt, and coats, bottom includes the items such as skirt and pants. The color combination samples were divided into two groups. In one group ${\Delta}E^*$ was less than 30, and In the other group ${\Delta}E^*$ was 30 or more. For investigating the image of color combination, 480 rotor combination samples were classified. The image adjectives for the survey from preceding studies and brand dictionaries were 'classic', 'modern', 'feminine', 'casual', and 'romantic', which have highly preferred in women's wear brands. The result of the study is as follows; For 'classic' 'image, YR, and greyish tone were generally preferred. For 'feminine' image, RP was preferred as a top color, R, RP, P were preferred as a bottom color. For 'casual' image, PB was preferred as a top color, PB, B were preferred as a bottom color. For 'romantic' image, RP was preferred as a top color, R, P were preferred as a bottom color. The bigger the color differences between the color combination samples were, the more remarkable the image of color combination samples was.

  • The concept that human and brand can related to each other is referred to as 'brand relationship' or 'consumer-brand relationship. By arguing that the concept of brand relationship is a readily understandable analogue, it appears that relationship thinking in the context of consumers and brands sometimes is taken for granted without thoroughly discussing its applicability. In this perspective, this paper tests the limitations with the relationship metaphor and interpersonal relationship theory by comparing the differences among product categories. And research findings as follow like these. First, even if many companies seek to anthropomorphize their brands, consumers may still don't consider them as human. Second, the possibility of personification is much higher in product categories like lead higher interaction between consumers and brands and give higher enjoyment than those of lower. And finally, consumer's personification of products are not essential factors that lead higher brand relationship.

  • This study attempted to examine the characteristics of fashion cross-border e-commerce(CBEC) by analyzing about 35.7 million cases of customs clearance data received from the Korea Customs Service. The demographic characteristics of consumers and the features of products purchased from 2019 to 2021 were explored. Next, the association rules between products, brands, and websites were analyzed by men and women in their 20s to 50s. The results are as follows. First, women purchased more clothing products than men, and overall, consumers tended to purchase products at low prices every year. Second, the most commonly purchased products were T-shirts, bags, and other shoes. In the list clearance, the purchase frequency of international open markets increased for three years; in general clearance, the proportion of luxury brands was high every year. Finally, in the list clearance, the relationships between bags, other shoes, pants, and overseas open markets were significant, while the relationships between wallets, bags, and luxury brands were significant in general clearance. Based on this study, domestic companies participating in or competing against the CBEC market can develop appropriate strategies for merchandising and sourcing clothing products.
